Well the Southern Senators should lobby the Northern Senators, especially Senators from the North Central. The Govs of oil producing states should be willing to fund the Lobbying move and they should even lobby the Governors of NC states if need be. The President should also send a Solid Minerals Industry Bill akin to what we have in Ϯh℮ PIB so that the Solid Minerals rich North will have something to gain at the end of the day. Or better still Ϯh℮ President can pass a Resource Control bill.South African coal industry is worth Billions of Dollars, AustRalia have not been adversely affected by Global recession partly because of their Solid Minerals Better still GEJ should send a Resource control Bill to the NASS PIB should be passed @ whatever cost ASAP because the price of Oil will go down in no distant future and if it does I bet you guys that this same Northerners will be the ones championing for Resource Control or they'll secede The communities whose farmlands and rivers have been destroyed due to oil exploration should have something to gain before value of their God given wealth goes below $10 per barrel. ![]() |

PointB: GEJ should build and deliver the second niger bridge and (re)commission a fully functional Enugu International Airport plus provide electricity. Then we can start talking about his 2015 ambition. He's done pretty better than all the presidents before him though in every respect. Anvaller: 1) Mechanize ur farm. This will allow you to farm efficiently. Less labour, Higher efficiency, higher accuracy, timeliness, all these will ensure higher yield. You will be sure to make profit if u can achieve more yield/acre or ha. The problem of pry producers start from inability to achieve required min yield/ha due to lack of factors I mentioned above and among others. Large scale farmers are in most cases the group of farmers that achieve min yields or higher. A subsistence farmer can also achieve min yield but at subsistence level.Thank you Sir |
Agriculture is big business. I read somwhere that an averaGe Nigerian consumes about 600naira worth of food daily. Calculate 600 * 160m = 9.6bn naira per day. You guys can see that if this figure is true then Agric biz is super profitable. But Ϯh℮ problem is that crop farmers (primary producers)make little or no money. The transporters,middlemen,food processors,etc make a heLl of profit. This is what's discouraging most young people from farming. Can the experienced farmers/agric specialists tell us how to make profit as primary producers (crop farmers) |

Let's be frank here, Lai just spoke Ϯh℮ truth especially as regards the increase in oil and Gas production in USA. I was watching Bloomberg and an analyst was saying that USA will start exporting Oil and Gas in few years time. This will indeed spell doom for us Nigeria. The FG should fast track the diversification of our economy ASAP. The NASS should fast track the passage of PIB and a bill on Solid Minerals exploration. And also Repeal the Land use act. In few years time,our northern brothers will be the ones agitating for fiscal federalism because the price of oil will crash to less than $20 per barrel and they ofcourse have arable land and are blessed with huge deposits of solid mineralS ![]() |

However, for the past 2 or so yrs Pres Gej is trying to right the many wrongs of the past. From Agric sector to power sector, rail/sea transport to Aviation,etc GEJ is working in almost all d sectors and he has won my heart. Except I see Donald Duke or Pat Utomi or Sullivan Chime as presidential candidate, I'll vote for GEJ come 2015 (if he contests). |

Which region has the largest land mass (non-marine area)? And what proportion of the region should be represented in the armed forces? Also, take a look at the riverine areas of the country (coastal regions) and know how many states have water surrounding them and the proportion of its population that should be represented in the Nigerian Navy.If we are to Follow what you wrote above, then why do we have many Northerners in the NNPC since we're yet to start oil exploration in the north? How come a large number of our top. Civil servants come from the North since we know that Southerners are educationally advanced than the Northerners? What about NPA,NMA,Customs,etc all in Lagos have many Northerners workin there and we all know there is no sea in the north.
