They are going out but INEC is frustrating them. In Makurdi where I stay, nore than 200 persons are being registered daily. But in the south East, the average daily numbers are between 30 and 50 persons. In some days no registration is even made. Yankee101: Why is igbo not going out? |

It's very unfair to party members. There should be a pre-voting exercise by all members to decide their flagbearer. But if they want to continue with delegates, a law should be placed against vote buying. yankison: Thank you ..how can only the delegates decides who become the party flagbearer |

Corruption is a widespread disease in Nigeria's politics. Right now, even an Obi cannot wipe the system clean. What I mean by lesser evil is the level of nepotistic actions Buhari took. How can a president pick all his service chiefs from one region, then call another region 5% go on international TV to call the younger generation LAZY? Atiku is more liberal than Buhari. Greenscientist: Atiku is a lesser evil? That's a lie. Most people who supported Atiku then were either igbos(peter obi) or people that hated Buhari.
If a Buhari that you hardly see anything that links him to corruption is having a bad regime like this, what would an Atiku have done? |

You are wrong. Benue and Plateau are locked down for LP. I'm in Benue and I know the general mood here. The election will be a shocker next year. It will be an eye opener for the politicians to take the youths and social media serious. EmeraldJD: Presidential election in the north central will be 50/50 between PDP and APC. PDP might take Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kogi leaving Niger and Kwara for APC. |

My brother, Benue is locked down for OBI's LP. The state has been a PDP state ever since, although they are now drumming support for Alia. The way it is now, OBI will be voted for presidency while Alia will win Governorship. And don't forget that Benue is flanked by Enugu and Ebonyi. So, the Igbo population here is massive. APC is gone here. The only close competition with LP is PDP. seunmsg: In politics, it’s party first. Who has been funding his election? Party or the church that suspended him?

My brother, the system is really oozing with corruption. They don't even hide it anymore. Imagine the billions spent from both parties to buy delegates. That's to show you that political party is not the problem, but the entire system. smileyoo: this is real serious. so if tinubu have no genuine educational certificates, how was he able to manipulate the system to became a governor in 1999-2007. and even recently this same endemic corrupt system also cleared him to emerge as the APC flag bearer for next year 's election ? if all these serious allegations had been in public domain, for decades, why was he not investigated and disqualified by the system ? so sad that APC had a viable alternative to tinubu, in the person of a well know professor yemi Osinbajo, but because of the detects of the stomach, the corrupt delegates opted for a man of questionable character. but despite tinubu's awful baggages, i still prefer him to Atiku, because Nigeria as a nation may not survive another 8yrs of northern misrule. presently, peter obi remain the best viable option for Nigeria to genuinely move forward in the right direction, but will this same corrupt system allow that to manifest ? |

All these your analysis aren't working next year. The Obi fever it spreading all over south south. One thing that's certain is the uncertainty in predicting the winner of the 2023 election. NW and SW are Tinubu's stronghold, but there is the Kwankwaso effect in NW. On the other hand, Atiku will dominate NE while OBi will take the SE and SS. NC will be shared by the three candidates. Kogi is for Tinubu, Benue and Taraba are for Obi, while Nasarawa is for Atiku. I don't know of other NC states. Overall, Tinubu still has the edge now, but no one knows who the Northerners will end up backing. This will be the most intriguing election in Nigeria's history, because the Northerners are now torn between 3 candidates. 12Monkeys: How?
SS (other than Edo) has been consistently PDP since 1999.
If you think they will dump the party for somebody like Tinubu who connived with the north and chased their son out of govt then you are seriously in need of a brain reset.
Only Itsekiri votes and maybe some misplaced Edo voters will vote Tinubu.
Itsekiri because Remi Tinubu is an Itsekiri.

Politics › Re: Atiku Campaign Office In Katsina (Pictured) by pacesetting: 12:51pm On Jun 25, 2022 |
South South is no go area for Atiku. Are you not seeing the handwriting on the wall yet? The only region he is likely getting block vote is NE. 12Monkeys: The Yaradua Treatment all over again.
The only reason the northern elite called for a southern presidential flag bearer was to deny Buhari having his own anointed candidate who would have been from within his Aso Rock Daura cowboy cabals.
With Tinubu as the party flag bearer , Buhari will not throw his support to anyone in the race thus paving way for a free and fair election from where the north will simply dump Tinubu and vote either Atiku or Kwankwaso.
Peter Obi and Tinubu will only win in their respective regions, while Atiku will slug it out with Kwankwaso in the north, win hands down the middle belt and SS.
At the end, Atiku will emerge winner. |

Before spewing and littering the forum with all these, go back and read Obi's statement again. He said he wants justice to be done. So, this your gibberish doesn't make sense. Dsalvo: Indeed. Many sensible and responsible political leaders know not to comment and appear to be preempting or questioning justice just because their political pal is involved.
Yet trust the totally callous, unscrupulous, opportunistic and cynical Obi to try and profit from this sad development.
He wanted to rush in and appear a Saint 'magnanimously' supporting Ekweremadu wbo criticised him.
Yet we will all see how this will backfire when other political and societal leader begin to attack Obi for not mentioning the real victim here that Ekweremadu and his wife are charged of commiting a crime against.
I.e the underaged child a desperate Nigerian Senator failed to protect and seemed cynically ready to exploit.
Obi can continue playing to the gallery but what makes me happy is the fact that, like James Ibori, Ekweremadu and his wife are now where the justice system will punish them if found guilty of wrongdoing. |
