PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Is Live On Channels TV - Politics Today by pacesetting: 8:25pm On Jul 25, 2022
I watched the whole thing. He answered it completely. He said the first thing is to reach out to them and dialogue. The second thing is to deal with those who are not interested in dialogue decisively.

He said the pressent govt is not dealing with them decisively.

In his previous interviews, he said dealing with terrorists decisively entails equipping the army with enough firepower.

He has no idea on how to solve security issue we are having.

That is why he keeps getting the organic support. That is his strategy and it's working. I just finished listening to him in Channels.

What he said about Aba and Portharcort is mind-blowing.

Obi is not contesting as president of northern Nigeria.

Still Igbo matters, they doing everything to trend, well only about 10% of northerns are on social media, how is the online president of Igbo land going to reach them.
PoliticsRe: "Peter Obi Has Killed PDP" - Watch Gov. Fayose's Brother, Isaac's Analysis. by pacesetting: 7:13pm On Jul 25, 2022
Exactly!! I saw a fighting spirit in Obi when he moved to LP. But i was even amazed more when I was reading about his time in Anambra. The man secured his governorship twice through the court.

He fought the political gladiators in that state and came out on top.
Ciscogod:
To be sincere I never took Peter Obi serious when he was vying for presidential ticket in PDP. But the moment he decide to quit a structured party(PDP) and believe he can get it done with an unstructured party(LP). I took interest in him

I love fighters. Believe in yourself.

Tinubu is also a fighter. Because all odds were against him to get the APC ticket and he did it. No one actually cares how you do it once you can get it done.

If we reflect back to 2019 election. Atiku bulk votes came from South-south and South-east which are currently in Peter Obi's care.

2023 election will be one of its kind. People will be caught by Surprise
PoliticsRe: "Peter Obi Has Killed PDP" - Watch Gov. Fayose's Brother, Isaac's Analysis. by pacesetting: 6:54pm On Jul 25, 2022
Blame Peter Obi how? What is Atiku doing as PDP flagbearer, knowing that it's not the turn of the North after Buhari?

You people should leave Peter Obi alone.

Blame peter Obi if PDD loses this election grin

Kano, Kwankwaso's stronghold?

And calling South west untouched for Tinubu means you don't know what is actually going on.
Akerele44:
Peter Òbí departing PDP is one of the greatest TINUBU joy

South South and South East votes would be shared between PDP and Labour party

South West votes is untouch for TINUBU

Then Kano is surely for APC sure banker

Borno...sure banker

Other APC states in North is for APC

PoliticsRe: Tinubu - "I Am Not Worried About The Exchange Rate"(see His Reason) by pacesetting: 6:04pm On Jul 24, 2022
A very huge difference. Seven months no go easy to defend Tinubu. The man just dey score own goals for training wey match never start.

An Osinbajo would have saved us all these headaches. But the man had to use billions to bribe his way. This same man that paid delegates is the same person people are supporting?

Obi is not a saint. But in the midst of other major contestants, he actually is.

Please watch some of Tinubu's recent interviews and TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH. Just put sentiment, emotion, and tribalism aside.

Aside his other deficiencies, that man has past his prime.

thebosstrevor1:
Too much foolish people in one place.

Isn't what peter obi, the south korean presidential candidate has been saying.

That we should focus on production.

So what is the difference between Tinubu and obi's advice.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu - "I Am Not Worried About The Exchange Rate"(see His Reason) by pacesetting: 5:52pm On Jul 24, 2022
Oh, you stay in the North, that's why you think it's not your problem. No matter where you stay, a poor exchange rate will affect you directly or indirectly.

And by saying it's not your problem tilts towards a selfish thinking - something most Nigerian politicians have in common. No wonder your comments.

And at the bolded, there is no such thing as consuming only Nigerian products. That is where I'm writing you off in your argument, because we can argue until eternity and you will still not see reasons.

By the way, your moniker has given you away, so have a nice day.

Yamiriflathead:
So therefore our borders should be left porous? That is your problem, I am not feeling the brunt of any exchange rate because I don't have to depend on foreign products, the ripple effects? Not my business as long as I can sell my farm products conveniently n earn money equivalent to my sweat. I stay in the north and I make do with strictly Nigerian products and maybe u should do the same.
Our government has found a way to reduce our over dependence on forex, yes there's been some set backs but we will definitely scale through.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu - "I Am Not Worried About The Exchange Rate"(see His Reason) by pacesetting: 5:19pm On Jul 24, 2022
Imagine question.
The final consumers are the ones suffering the brunt of the exchange rate palaver.........not the importers. Why would they protest against a government that has no ears.

Do you know how many people lost their lives during endsars protest?

How about the ASUU strike that has been lingering for over six months?

Yamiriflathead:
No

Why are they not protesting
PoliticsRe: What Exactly Is Peter Obi Doing In Anambra State? by pacesetting: 1:48pm On Jul 24, 2022
Tinubu, with all the financial power he has in Lagos, didn't do shit!!! You people are forgetting that before Tinubu came, a local government in Lagos could generate more internal revenue than some states in Nigeria.

He has been ruling Lagos for the past 20 years with nothing to show for it.

By the way, take a look at some of his recent interviews and ask yourself if someone like that should be projected as a president. If nepotism and tribalism doesn't destroy this country, nothing else would.

Tflex01:
The same reason why you all should stop demonizing Tinubu while elevating Obi to God status. He performed way better than Obi as Lagos governor.
PoliticsRe: I Have Never Heard A Good News About Peter Obi by pacesetting: 1:37pm On Jul 24, 2022
You have started calling someone an idiot. If he fires back with the same wawulence you will say Obi supporters are violent.

By the way, why do you think a Yoruba man deserves to be president and an Igbo man doesn't?
Please answer the question without insults.
Eleven01:
Let the best man win, you are an idiot, power sharing between North and South is enough, we must not be governed by tribal politics but politics of common sense.
PoliticsRe: What Exactly Is Peter Obi Doing In Anambra State? by pacesetting: 1:30pm On Jul 24, 2022
No matter how good you are, people will always have reasons to complain. Peter Obi left Anambra much better than he found it, and Obaino was able to continue effortlessly with funds on ground.

I have done my own research about the three major candidates.

Just like many other people, I'm convinced that Peter Obi is the best among them.
Tflex01:
It is really sad. I wish more persons can see this thread before they all rush here to edit their comments.
PoliticsRe: Rerun Likely Over Obi, Kwankwaso’s Emergence – US Institutes by pacesetting: 9:09am On Jul 23, 2022
This is your point of view, so I understand. Unfortunately, SS and SE are already on lockdown for Obi. The middle belt is gradually accepting the movement.

What he needs right now is to penetrate the core North as much as he can. Thankfully, election is seven months away and there is time to do that.

It hasn't been up to three months he joined LP and look at the momentum he already has. I stay in Benue, and every Tiv or Idoma person I know here are already Obidient.

With the way things stand, Labour Party is likely going to gain more supporters before the election than either PDP or APC.

NNPP, on the other hand, is indirectly working in favour of LP.

eeetuk:
"The 2023 presidential election may go into rerun with the emergence of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, a delegation of United States-based National Democratic Institute and International Republican Institute, said on Friday."

I disagree!
Obi and Kwankwaso candidacies are overrated. And here is why:
What states can Obi and Kwankwaso win to peel off either Atiku or Kwankwaso supports in those states?
I cannot see it. As it stands today, Atiku will win both South/South and the east states. Ibos want to put food on the tables for their families every day. Voting for Obi will undercut that objective. And Atiku presidency provides Ibos with the best opportunities to play major roles in NIgerian government than that of Tinubu.
So, in future when more data begin to emerge, i will re-visit this topic in my expanded analysis.
PoliticsRe: Throwback: Obi Wins His Polling Unit, Atiku Loses Polling Unit by pacesetting:
Atiku is not really a political strategist. Otherwise he would have done everything possible to pull Obi to his side. He didn't even try.

He is even making matters worse with the way he has treated Wike. Apart from Lagos, Rivers has the highest number of voters in the entire South.

Atiku is only relevant because of his money. That's the only reason why he keeps winning primaries.
Omonieme:
Atiku is not really strong politically. That's not to say he doesn't have his own structure and area of strength but overall, Atiku's isn't that strong a politician. And that's why Obi's candidature will do more harm to his presidential bid than any other factor. If it was to be an Atiku/Obi ticket again in d forthcoming elections, then Atiku should have been writing his inaugural speech cause the SE and SS which are PDP and by extension Atiku's major voting block would have been on lock with a sprinkling of votes from the SW, at least 50% of votes from the NC, majority of votes from the NE and whatever they could get from the NW would have been enough. But nah! He now has to share his major bloc with Obi.... And it shows his lack of calculation. Knowing Obi to be an asset whose candidature would split his votes, why didn't Atiku reach out to him when he started hearing rumors about an Obi presidential bid and convince him to join him on a repeat of the 2019 ticket? With Buhari not contesting, the north would have given him a good number of votes. Add that to his bloc votes and he'd have been home and dry.
PoliticsRe: 2023: Key Reasons Why Peter Obi's Movement Remains Strong by pacesetting: 3:34pm On Jul 22, 2022
Those opposing the movement are only standing in denial.

It's true that Obi and Labour Party have a lot to do, the avenue has already been created for the party to excel and mount a formidable challenge.

Obi's popularity and acceptance is increasing everyday. What is needed is a massive rural sensitization, and the road to LP's victory will be clearer by February.

No one says it will be easy. But Labour Party stands a massive chance, especially in light of the electoral reform.

Clueless federal government as usual. Before you place such ban, provide an alternative. The government wants to solve a problem by creating another problem.

Do they even know the millions of people that will be out of jobs following a nationwide okada ban?

You mentioned me but failed to grasp my point.

Let me rephrase:

The way they are fighting to dominate in politics and control federal resources is different from their efforts in education and other spheres of life.

I spent over a decade of my life in the North. Education is still not a priority for them yet, unlike in other regions.

Asour:
Stop being Petty.

Which region is the Fulani ethnic group of ? South?

Matter of fact Many Fulanis are so intertwined in Hausa communities that YOU & I can't even tell them apart, hence the new toga — Hausa-Fulani.

My point is that you should slow down your generalizations. It could quickly be wrong.

N.B. Fulanis & Hausa also have dynasties — Business families outside the government.
EducationRe: Adebayo Eyimofe Scored Highest 2022 UTME Mark - JAMB by pacesetting: 2:03pm On Jul 21, 2022
Point of correction, I didn't mention any region, but specified on Fulani.

Secondly, my generalization is absolutely correct because it shows on the cut off marks for Nigerian unity schools.
While that of the Northern region is very low, the other regions are much higher. Can you explain why?

And for the link you provided, how many of them have been on the top 5 list for the past ten years?
When I say men are stronger than women, it doesn't mean you won't find a woman who can beat the hell out of a weak man. You get my point?

Asour:
You're very wrong.

Also try to minimize your generalisations. It doesn't portray you as a nuanced fellow. There are northerners you'd stand before and would be mesmerized with their brilliance.

Nigeria has a totally different political setting from the America you are using as an example.

There have been countless number of religious crisis in Nigeria than there would ever be in America.

The current president even worsened matters by being unfair in his appointment.
CoronaVirusRelo:

Why are people making it look like you mandated to vote for Tinubu?

Even the countries that gave us democracy don't draw the present lines we drawing now. Native Americans have never been president in the USA before, and they are not Christians or Muslims. How about that?

A stupid governor will always remain stupid. Soludo came into Anambra barely few months ago, and he has been able to address the security situation to an large extent in the state. But this supreme court governor has succeeded in escalating things since he came into office.

The idiot doesn't even know he is recruiting more dangerous people for the supposed ESN through this act. Imo state that used to be very peaceful has become a lion's den.

What is Hope Uzodimma doing to Imo State for goodness sake? Why are the elites in the state not speaking up?
