What you have failed to ask is what are the senators doing? Have they made your life better in anyway? Yet, they get millions of Naira doing NOTHING to help the citizens. A senator gets constituency project allowance, what for? How is this the business of the Senator, what then is the job of the Governor and Local government chairmen?

How about the many aides or special advisers to the president and these senators? How about the huge amount in budget they keep fixing for projects that keeps appearing on budget?

Did you not read of the Apapa project that kept recurring? Did you not read about the Aso Villa Clinic that kept recurring yet paracetamol isn't available? And many of these likes.

You talk about focus on small projects. Have you easily forgotten how the N10,000 to the less privileged was handled? Have you easily forgotten how inflated infrastructural projects are and yet we have substandard executed projects? How about this other project of engaging the youths of 774,000 (not sure of the figures again), the senators wanted to hijack this project for selfish reasons?

Address the root cause of this matter than resolving to this?

So, workers in the Ministry of Health, Works and Housing and power should be laid off over projects that will be given huge allocations but we won't see any done physically.

Nigeria cannot be better truly with the way you reason when the root cause is not addressed.

How can I say all the government workers should be laid off, how can a government function without those in civil and public services? What I say is that most of these people are burdensome to the budgetary allocations yet they contribute less in terms of GDP growth. Bottom line is that the marginal cost of people in government is far greater than their marginal benefit to the country. Many of them have no business being in government, they should be in other walks of life where they can add more values to the economy.

Better Nigeria my foot. This NLC is no different from the government they are protesting against, they use their members to push forward the selfish agenda of their leaders, how do ordinary Nigerians benefit from this protest? Go to government parastatals and see the level of extortion and corruption going on there by these government workers. I hope you fall victim of them one day to know how evil these people working in government are these days, they are the major problems Nigeria is facing today, their salaries take a big chunk from Nigerian budgets while giving nothing in return in terms of productivity and service to the country or the people. Government workers are the most useless people you can deal with in this country, very lackadaisical in their places of work. The presidency should even be thinking of laying them off to free more budgets for other projects like small scale businesses and infrastructures that are more developmental to the country.

But when will these Nigerian government workers start protesting against corruptions in their offices. Anybody who pities these animals called civil servants is a fool, they are the most wicked, corrupt and dead weighted of all people in this country. Useless set of people who think they are doing you a favour by doing their jobs, they demand money from ordinary people and are ready to dance to the tune of politicians at any time. They are better called political servants.

I think the youth should protest against the corrupt act of civil servants as much as they did for SARS.
