So Big Brother housemates are the favourite to hold political appointments in Bayelsa State now. Na wa o ! |
Does it mean that we are in an entertainment politics? |
The borrowing is becoming profligate and irrelevant. How many nigerians will benefit from water loan for God sake? |
The whole problem in this country boil down to the disparities between the riches who are living a comfortable, happy life and those poor who are hungry and angry at the same time. Untill our leaders start bridging the existing wide gap between the extremely rich and poor, there will always be internal war and conflict. Class should be cut down. Taxation should be proportional to individuals income, and government should exempt those living in poverty level from paying tax that they don't even earn as income, and maybe give financial grant and aid on healthcare, accommodation and public services to the poor in the society. Citizens who are entitled to decent lives will not be interested in riots and civil protests. Life is glorious and worth living for the riches, but the poor are depressed and believe that they have nothing to lose even if hell is let lose. Nigerian Government policies are are beneficial and prospers the riches, while the poor are chastised and demoralized by the tough government policies and rules. This are economic issues of a modern time and the solution lies on economic deregulations and restructuring. Problems of a large populated society is more challenging and difficult to solve compare to a micro economy involving few populace in a smaller area of land, even with limited resources. It is time for our political class to be attentive to voices at the grassroot. Perhaps a regional government which has been widely suggested by many elites could be a relevant solution in this critical and decisive time. Result could be of positive resolution if the idea of a zonal government could be adopted to facilitate independent management of the resources and crisis in each region. The use of brutal force against civilians will further exacerbate the fragile peace between security agents and citizens of this society. Government should consider that there are more than enough idle youths who are ready to risk their lives engaging with security agents. A listening ear is required in solving the problem on ground , and that should be the position of our government hitherto. |
Why lekan dey look like say e wan start fvcking. You are comfortably sitting on top of N30M, look afar bro. |
Nigerians are overly inspired and proud of Dr. Akinwumi Adesina for the success of his re-election as African Development Bank chairman.

The poor cannot sleep because they are hungry, the rich cannot sleep because the poor are awake.- Prof Sam Aluko |
Airforce1:Bad ass motherfucker! This kid is the most wicked. |
We are no more gullible, our mumu don do ! |
Nigeria has been cursed in that direction. It never happened since 1960, so why now. |
The millions don dey show for e body. Money good o... |
Nigeria is like a piece of wood that is attacked by termites, obviously the wood will turn useless. |
Eye service! Be yourself desmond. |
The guy just won lottery. Congratulations ! |
This is the example of new leadership that Nigerian desire. |
The situation of traffic that i witnessed today from ikeja along to oshodi was rare and unencouraging. Vehicles were moving in either ways without obeying traffic rules, okada riders returned back in mass on the highway, Danfo buses were trespassing on the BRT lanes, several vehicles were hitting others to exacerbate the traffic condition and their was traffic pile from ladipo bus stop towards oshodi bridge. I will advise lagos state government to form security unit similar to what late Gov. Abiola Ajimobi did in Oyo state in his time named Operation Burst. It comprises of all arms of uniform officers working together. Army+Police+Civil defence+ Mobile police to work together as a unit to maintain law and order untill police return fully back to work. It will also be kind of our government to augment the salaries and allowances of new police that we will see in future. Let them renovate their barracks and make them leave a decent life. This may likely abolish their habit of collecting bribe from motorists. A decent policing is a bride of the society. |
I think a federal panel should be set up to quiz the state administrators about the incidence of Covid19 palliatives in the warehouses. If they have done the right thing with those items, perhaps the looting could have been averted or minimized. The palliatives belong to the citizens, but it is rather unfortunate the manner by which they eat their own cake. However those who looted and destroyed public businesses and infrastructures should be arrested and prosecuted. |
The use of hard drugs such as marijuana etc has been common among idle youths nowadays. That is why they says an idle hand is devils workshop. Government through a department of health should help some of these so called area boys and idle thugs whose mental condition has deteriorated and are capable of causing harm to the public. |
MyMouth:I acknowledged your point of view and as a matter of fact no good citizen of nigeria will endorse the criminal attitude of the hoodlums nationwide. We just don't want river of blood in this country. I pray God should intervene into what is going on now so that peace may be restored and everyone can go on their businesses. Cheers ! |
MyMouth:The blessings of God is sufficient for me and my family. In as much as it is not proper for people to be looting and sabotaging others personal properties, it is very wrong for law enforcement officers to be killing those who commit such crimes without benefit of a fair trial. Law enforcement officers are trained to arrest not kill on sight. This is one of the yardstick that proves that we living in a civilized society and our democracy is working. |
Kaiser20:Poverty is the mother of all crime. Why would any sane person choose to be be a criminal, kidnapper, bandit, robbers, etc which a pathway to destruction. if we have a caring government, the instinct of common Nigerian will adhere towards enjoying a decent life. There is no citizens welfare and our people are living like slaves in a place called home after 60years of independent. Why would a caring government hoard palliatives in a country where gentlemen are begging on the street and ladies are settling for prostitution to survive. The mindset of most nigerian youth is to leave in abroad. While our political class is earning outstanding salaries and allowances. What about those who loot the nation to ship money that belong to nigerians to foreign account? It is easy to criticise and point accusing finger at the bad heads among us, why not find out what led to the calamity. Why do we have more criminals than other fellow africans. How come End SARs campaign suddenly turned to looting and sabotage spree among idle youth. An idle hand is devils workshop. Unfortunately, It had to be this way, something terrible must happen as a price to pay before the country change for good, so that lawmakers, politicians, law enforcement officers, and every citizens will all sit tight and be ready to change our individual attitude towards Nigerian to make it a great country that God wanted it to be. |
MyMouth:Madness they Do you or na you dey do madness. Where is your horrible opinion when politicians that you voted for are looting national treasury to foreign bank account. Did nigerian army shoot any of them? What is the worth of a bag of rice to human life? Think slowpoke ! |
wolebest:Throughout my years in UK, I never for once sighted on a soldier. Talk less of hearing that a soldier shoot a citizen. It sounded like an abomination. |
stephanie11:It is a shame that our military men behaved in such a barbaric and discredited manner. American,British, and french citizens are so proud of their military, that they have a national public holiday when they morn the war heroes. Will Nigerian citizens love and be proud of our service men for their action at lekki toll gate. NO ! |
HRHQueenPhil:Peoples hope is in government. Because the nations resources belong to the citizens. We only votes the leaders to represent us. But that relationship has turn to that of slaves and masters in nigeria. The irresponsibility of a child is the fault of the parent. Nigeria made multi million during oil boom years back, how many youths do they empower? How many of our youths did the government sponsor to study on scholarship, how many of our disabled citizens get assistance from the government, and what becomes of our retirees? Did you think Late obafemi Awolowo, Sir Tafa Balewa, and chief Nnamdi Azikwe were crazy to grant citizens free education and free health. This is where our new generation leaders mis things. A popular adage says "A child that parent deny training today will be the one to sell the family fortunes tomorrow" . |
saasala:I wonder there the faces of those who looted billions of Naira, people we trusted and voted for. They are the one who victimized the hungry who are looting foodstuffs. |
Myrage2:My friend that order to shoot at sight is bullshit. Life worth more than those useless palliatives. Do you know that those palliatives belong to the people of that state, not to their government. Where is the blood of the politicians who have been looting billions of naira in this country. This is an evil that nobody want to see in this country and outside |
Woe betides any security that shoot to kill a woman like this. Their mission was to arrest not kill a woman that carry no weapon. Idiots ! |
How many of the politician who have been stealing millions if dollars have they shot. Why shooting a woman not even a man. The life of this lady worth more than the whole of the warehouse. The state governor should be ashamed. |
csn01:Don't forget that soldier too get family and don't want to die anyhow. Those ones who are real thugs among the looters have dangerous weapons and they have been so high and not mentally stable. As it is, open robbery has been legalised just like some bad politicians that loot money and nobody can probe them. The solution is for the government to form a new unit of defence which will comprise of army, anti- riot police, civil defence, all uniform officers with exception of SARS, and work with local community leaders to counsel their people and let them know the implication of involving in such outlaw act. |
All this problems has been piling up for years as a result of the irresponsible governments in past administrations. It has now come to a stage whereby youths are in doubt of anything call good future in Nigeria. The emergence of yahoo boys mostly among undergraduates was as a result of the anticipation in our youth to make it by all mean. Unfortunately they chosed criminal way to enable them avoid taking a queue in the backlog of unemployed in the outside world. Two wrongs cannot make a right, it is better for our government to take responsibility for this situation, and prioritize doing positive to shed the backlog of unemployed youths ( skilled or no skilled) to avoid a repeat of the ugly scenario in future. |
The addicts of pornographics fall into two categories. The first are those who are sexually gluttonous with high sexual demand and the second are people who are just psychologically addicted and their crave is limited on sighting. Getting married to a partner who is on the same sexual wavelength is the solution to the first, while prayer and deliverance are the solution to the second. |
