@Nayah
Been going thru the whole thread and it seems you've not told us which you prefer ?

and really r u married or about to get married (as in, in a serious relationship) ?

If so, what influenced your choice, You loved the person more or he loves you more  wink

deniyor:
For starters, try dating someone you love who doesn't love you back. Then try dating someone who loves you but you don't love. Lets assume both in the case are really good men/women.

See if it works.

I expect in both cases, it will not work. Relationship is a lot of stress, and the love of both people involved is what gives them the motivation to iron out their issues sometimes.
@Deniyor
though I understand what u r saying but i dont agree with it.
In an ideal world both parties will love each other equally but the earth aint a perfect sphere.

So the issue is if you had to make do with either of the two situations in the poser ? what will be the best option ?

@Nayah

I feel your view point.

Reminds me of a girl I met who complained that every guy she had fallen in love with never really reciprocated her love while there r lot of guys running after without her being interested.

Hope you are not the person this whole thread is about cos . . . . . ?

I seem to have problems embedding the video above let me try it again

First off,

Your profile pix is simply stunning.
Quite bold of you to put your face up there in your profile with all the 'not too nice' wolves prowling around NL.

However, on the poser -
I think I'll go for the first one. You can never be more certain about another person as you would yourself so its less risky.

This song (my favorite song this year) from Mark Shultz reminds me of what its like to love someone for a lifetime - simple beautiful

Car TalkRe: 4-cylinder Engine Vs 6-cylinder Engine by pak: 11:55pm On May 17, 2011
@Poster
I'll give you a big advice not as an expert but from experience.

If you ever choose to buy a Honda product. Then RUN from the V6, especially those made between the years 1998 and 2005.

You can go online to verify by typing phrases like 'honda accord 2003 problems' and at the end of the day you'll realise that most complaints are from ppl with V6 and there are a lot of gear related issues.

Also in this part of the world, maintenance and spare parts of V6 cars are another thing entirely.

yusuf_@:
used to drive a 97 Accord L4 Engine, Now i drive a 2004 Accord V6 and i can tell u, i get better fuel economy on the V6, driving the V6 got me to conclude i was driving a toy before, it's just too powerful & responsive, i agree for accord, the V6 has a problem of availability of Parts though. but i love it die  kiss kiss kiss
You might be right if you travel a lot cos V6 engines dont seem to consume that much fuel when speeding based on my observation.
But try using both engines in traffic and come back to tell us if you still feel this way

However, to balance things a bit.
The feel and power of driving a V6(and higher) car is incomparable
Tech JobsRe: I need a Cooperative Software (web based) by pak: 10:58pm On Apr 27, 2011
I developed a web based software for a multilevel cooperative society about 3 years ago. I dont know if the org you have in mind is similar to the one i developed for but it can still be given a try considering that even if modifications need to be made. It will be done faster than developing one from the scratch.
And I have no probs with the source code as long as what you'r willing to pay covers my proprietary rights on the software.

PoliticsRe: Fg Bars Service Chiefs, Ministers, Others From Use Of Tinted Glasses by pak: 7:19am On Feb 27, 2011
Seriously,

I have a tinted car with a permit indicating the car is factory tinted but my probs is that, as previous posters have pointed out, a lot of policemen/women are barely literate and even those that understand will feign ignorance.

My plan is that for the next one week, while I observe how the law is goin to be enforced. Am thinking of just winding down completely (both front and rear glass) in the mornings on my way to work and then bringing the glass back up in the evenings on my way back (when the most policemen might have left the roads).

Really, Am not sure how practical the idea will be especially from the security perspective (leaving even your rear windows open)
but I guess am open to opinions and ideas.

Also yesterday, my panel guy told me it's going to be quite difficult removing factory fitted tints - how true is this ?

texazzpete:
This has got to be the most imbecilic thing i've heard all year.
Try and convince a hungry Policeman that the tint on your car is factory tinted.
I can just imagine this conversation

Driver: "Officer my windows are factory tinted"
POliceman: "Who tell you dat one?"

Driver: "Please check it for yourself, it is factory tint"
Policeman: "Oya make we go station make my oga verify am"

At the Police station
Policeman: "Bros, the man wey go verify am don travel to Agbor, he will come back in 3 days time. Until then you go leave this car hia make i dey sure say you no dey break law"
Driver: "Haba! I can't leave my SUV here for 3 days!"

Police: "Oya settle me if you wan comot now. If not na hia the moto go sleep until DPO come verify am"

The police will have a field day with this. smh
grin grin grin ROFL
That was really hilarious.
Why 'Agbor' of all places

I just read online that

1) The Dextron III has been replaced by Dextron VI and the latter is backward compatible.
Can anybody verify this ? And who knows any popular fluid that compatible with Dextron VI

http://www.ehow.com/list_7402226_substitutes-dexron-iii-transmission-fluid.html

2) Mobil 1 and castrol Oil is compatible with ATF Z1.
How true and where can I get them in Nigeria ? It seems every one I asked only know Mobil 1 Engine oil and not the Transmission Fluid

Please who knows where I can get the Honda ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) Z1 in Nigeria at a reasonable price.

I had some gear issues late last year and thanks to naralanders, I was able to pin point that
the problem was using inappropriate transmission fluid. I got the original Honda ATF Z1 but at a very steep price.

Right now, My Gear Oil recently leaked a bit and I just want to have the ATF fluid handy.

I need someone to help me with any of these three questions

Where Can I get the original Honda ATF Z1 Fluid in Nigeria at a reasonable price

or

Where Can I get any other Dextron III ATF fluid in Nigeria

or

Who has used any easily available ATF fluid on Honda EOD 2003 V6 AUTO successfully without the transmission developing issues
Car TalkRe: Tips on car maintenance and how 2 drive Automatic cars by pak: 10:21am On Feb 11, 2011
Thanks baba for your insightful post.

I was just wondering if you have an idea of what can be the cause of my car jerking anytime I put it in reverse gear.
Every other thing works fine with the car, the gear changes appropriately both when accelerating and downshifting but whenever I try to shift to reverse gear, the car actually moves into reverse but it jerks first. I've been wondering why.

The car is a V6 auto 2003 accord.

Thanks and your responses will be welcome
Car TalkRe: Help: Gear Issues With Honda Accord V6 2003 by pak(op): 9:25pm On Dec 13, 2010
I got 8 litres for 40k.

Though the initial quote I was given was less than that but I had to do a bit of pleading cos they didnt even want to sell in the first place
Car TalkRe: Help: Gear Issues With Honda Accord V6 2003 by pak(op): 2:56pm On Dec 13, 2010
Once beaten, twice shy

but what happens when you are beaten twice ?

I must add that I also had another embarrassing experience last week when I needed to service the power steering fluid. I initially used an ATF reccomended by the mech and by the time I pulled out of the garage the ff morning,
and turned the steering, it creaked like a man's whose neck was turned at an inordinate angle.

to cut the long story, I consulted the car manual and had to drain the oil (again) then used Mobil power steering fluid and normalcy was restored.

Right now the manual is like a school text book I read on regular basis.
The car is enjoyable to use but maintainance is like meeeen . . . . .
I guess its just uber fastidious and I sometimes wonder if its a luxury car . . .

I've made up my mind that I'l just import original honda fluids I need for servicing (aside the engine oil, which is easily available in Nigeria). Its actually cheaper than buying from Honda place
Car TalkRe: Help: Gear Issues With Honda Accord V6 2003 by pak(op): 2:45pm On Dec 13, 2010
Thanks all !!!

I can now breath a sigh of relief.

Should have posted this earlier but just wanted to be on the cautious side.

I finally got the ATF Z1's from Honda place at a steep price (even higher than the initial quote) after much cajoling. They initially insisted I must do 'servicing' before they sell the oil.

After draining the bad oil and adding the Z1 the 'thing' worked like magic. Infact it obeyed me like a submissive wife.
I flogged the car on a 24 hr trip. (12 to and fro) and yet no sign of gear probs. It was the closest you can get to a miracle.

I want to thank everybody who contributed to this success story. I wonder what would have happened if I had listened to the mechanics, one said I should change the torque converter another reffered me to someone at Ladipo who can help me change the enitre gear sys for few hundreds of thousands!!!

Car TalkRe: Help: Gear Issues With Honda Accord V6 2003 by pak(op): 5:44pm On Nov 04, 2010
Bro, don't blame me O, I took my car for servicing with my mechanic in preparation for my trip
and after doing the routine stuff, I told him to check any other thing that might raise issues.
Thats when he came up with the talk that my Gear oil was already too light and needed
changing. What does jero know ? I complied immediately and told him to change it.
If only I had known? I later found out that the ATF Z1 (the original fluid) was actually meant to be less viscous
than most others

I have actually spoken with the guys at Honda place and they said replacing fluid will
cost me 25K just for the purchase of the fluid aside their service charge.
Quite steep to me though I'l admit its still not comparable to a situation where you have
to replace the entire gear shebang or the initial cost of the ride.

@Sultan,
I really dont get your angle in your last post.
Which recall are we talking bout here ?
However, the EOD in question came with leather seats

Thanks all,

@Richard
Thanks for the reccomendation, that was really nice of you.
I have spoken with Okey and his take was that its likely a problem with the 'primary filter'.
According to him, this can cause some sort of blockage of the fuel after travelling over a distance.
Its a pity am quite far from PH
but its getting quite confusing cos everybody has been pointing a finger at somethin gear related except this guy
Car TalkRe: Help: Gear Issues With Honda Accord V6 2003 by pak(op): 12:02pm On Nov 04, 2010
Thanks Kunle A for the response,

I actually had to leave town without the car so I had to ask someone to check the exact name and grade of the fluid.

Its the Mobil ATF 220 premium.

Has anyone changed transmission fluid for Honda (automatic transmission) before, what fluid did you use ? and does anybody know where I can get the ATF Z1 transmission fluid.

Thanks once again Kunle A
