SportsRe: Official: The Best Goalkeeper Ever by pak(op): 8:25pm On May 30, 2008
Mukina, I hav a grouse wit u  angry

and since I am not used to keepin grudges,

I'll tell u straight on.

Someone started a man u thread on this forum and then

suddenly you redirected the traffic to the

main Man utd thread, the stuff about Champs of England or somethin.

My issue is this.

don't you know there are only 2 clubs in the world?

Man Utd and others.  smiley

I think there shuld be a rule that says somethin like,

Over 50% of the threads in the sports section must be devoted to

man utd or we close down nairaland.  smiley

How about that ?  wink

Its only a deservin recognition to a club that has brought so much

joy to all of us.  cheesy

Without Man utd we'l all be watchin hockey right now.  grin

Men, I must be gettin on in years,

Imagine me not recognizin Benzema?

Well, d last time I saw him, he had more hair than that.

well I guess too much progmng is takin its toll  undecided

For once dear Mukina,

I'll agree with you on the benzema, He's quality  wink

The kind of class that belongs to old tratford.

and I know he'l soon be 'home' where he belongs.

But seriously, do u think Benzema wil be able to lift france?

Zidane was a talisman, next to only M'dona and pele and will be difficult to replace

be able to lift the blues
SportsRe: Official: The Best Goalkeeper Ever by pak(op): 8:06pm On May 30, 2008

Peter Schiemichael
I agree with you man, he was a correct man utd hero better than Alumna tongue,

Lehman embarassed , and Seaman  lipsrsealed put together.

At least for once arsene 'Mukina' Toure will agree with me on this.
SportsRe: Official: The Best Goalkeeper Ever by pak(op): 8:00pm On May 30, 2008
@Davidif

The guy was not just uncordinated,

He probably hit his head on the woodwork mins b4 dat action

So he 'was out of brains' when he was pulling those stunts.

Do you know what?

deep down, me thinks there was some serious match fixing going on there.
SportsRe: Official: The Best Goalkeeper Ever by pak(op): 4:27pm On May 30, 2008

He don tey wey I fight and I be tough guy oooo

SportsRe: Official: The Best Goalkeeper Ever by pak(op): 4:24pm On May 30, 2008
Though the season is over just wanted to remind you of an entity greater than anything

highbury or emirates ever had.

SportsRe: Official: The Best Goalkeeper Ever by pak(op): 4:20pm On May 30, 2008
Who's that faker in Zidane's jersey between the proud guy on the left and the hairy puppet

by his right.

Any way, we are actually saying the same thing

You are just speaking french while am speaking Italian.

The Azuris (the blues) will surely  win.

Let me give u a pix of two teams that will daze france any day.

CareerRe: Masters Or Professional Exams (computer Graduate) by pak: 12:07pm On May 29, 2008
Well, it depends on where yu want to do the masters.

If its in Nigeria, then I think a certification or proffesional exam might be better.

Not because all nigerian schools are that bad but because of the

little regard for degrees obtained here.

You hear of oil comps trying to lure back those studyin abroad

and i think that best explains the point am makin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by pak: 10:32am On May 29, 2008
MR NOTHING

Its one year already and its another opportunity to take a retrospective look at the performance of the

Yar' adua administration.

Well, for me Yar' adua is and has always been a good man but I think it takes more than just being 'good'

to lead a nation like Nigeria and any other country for that matter.

You need to be able to inspire the confidence of the people you are leading.

Awolowo (or maybe MKO) is generally refered to as the 'best president Nigeria never had' while Abacha

has the infamy of being regarded as the worst we ever had(IBB comes a close second).

but our man here, is carving a niche for himself as 'the best man that should never have been Nigerian president'.

Well, apologist would advice that it's too early to make any objective judgement,

and I admit that makes a bit of sense but on the flipside any form of analysis would have to be based on the

365 days he has spent so far. And I must confess here, that there has been very little to write home about.

Alfaprime talked about rule of law, yeah there's strict observance of the rule of law but what more ?

One major benchmark for this administration is the power sector.

All we've had is the house of rep probe, of which we don't know where that will end up.

It's obvious, at least from my own point of view that nothing has improved as far as

power supply is concerned, infact the situation as deteriorated.

And this was a sector where 'state of emergency was declared at the early period

of this tenure.

Much is left to be seen of his much vaunted seven point agenda.

Recently I discovered that the price of a cup of rice is about N50

I was shell shocked, the price of a cup of rice will definitely not be an

issue for most posters on this thread.

but we will do well to remember that majority of Nigerians still

live below the poverty line.

I remember some years back when even a N1 increase in the price

of a cup of any staple food commodity was a source of great discomfort.

So it easy for me to empathize with what some families are going through now.

Nigerians, especially the women, who are the bedrock of most families, are very resilient people,

thats why it might be difficult to really gauge what many are going through right now.

I know right here in Jos, there are women who BREAK ROCKS with crude tools just to eke out a living.

I wonder what they do with the rocks.

This is not an attempt to rubish the government or express lack of faith

in its ability to turn the fortunes of the nation around

but rather a way of expressing my impressions about its performance so far

and a clarion call to our leaders to sit up and give us something

to cheer in the remaining  3 years of this tenure.

I would like to have other opinions on the performance

of the Yar' adua in the last one year.

Fight me  angry

showing another angle of mukina.

Well I'v got biceps, triceps and quadriceps, so u wont stand a wiff of a chance.

Well as per the Euro champs.

Spain have the best team on paper

but the cup aint going to be played on paper

so Italy should win (again!)

If Italy fails, then its going to be another 'greece' again
as in an unrated side.

Watch out for the unfancied eastern europeans
they can be really difficult

@ Mukina

You should try visiting one soon,

some years back, when Henry still reigned supreme,

I suggestd in an Arsenal chat room that Henry should be sold and the

money used to buy Noolstelrooy.

Men, one guy almost cursed me.

If we were in the same location physically.

Am sure, he would hav atempted to hit me or somethin

judgin by the vulgar tones he was using.

Hope you are not that fanatical sha ?

Opoks, the rate at which you talk about this girl begs the question

When r u getting married ?

Come to think of it, an old pal of mine from way back sec. school

got married penultimate saturday.

We were reunited at the NLNG assesment centre last year.

Sometimes I can't help wonderin if the difference between us was not the fact

that he made the cut while I didn't.

hmmm,  that means I could hav been married if I was picked.

quite a juicy prospect. wink

but on the flipside, when I think of guys

like Anniffy, Kenosky, Pgm et al, then I know

its not all about NLNG.

but wait a minute,

what's it about the guys on this thread?

which time una go marry?

which way 'which way nlng' ?

we'v talked sports, politics, business, investments and even earthquakes

but nobody is ready to braoch the subject of marriage.

I am getting  to feel am hanging out with some good old monks.

Agreed, this thread is not in the romance section

but then we don know ourselves pass the stage where we can't even yarn

'personal things with our personal persons'.

Really, really, the year is still young and

am wondering who's planning to get hooked this year.

I have a feeling stannessi might be the one to blaze the trail grin grin grin ( na yam)

Or maybe even Kuwena (but it's most likely will going to be American, unless he decides to go back to his former Love)

or my man Alfa prime (likely, quite likely)

or me ( There's nothing God cannot do).

So guys, who's getting married soon

abeg, I wan chop rice and chicken jare  cheesy cheesy cheesy
