Nairaland GeneralRe: The Very Height Of The Mac's Hypocrisy!!! by PalmTree(m): 8:31pm On Feb 03, 2013
I still can't understand why Moslems have an exclusive subsection to themselves, if other religions and non-believers were to claim such, what would be left of the religion section? I suggest that all subsections be abolished and everyone gets back on a level playing ground. How can a MOD ban a user for upwards of 10yrs...can't we be realistic again? Is mac following a predefined set of rules for banning users...or you just manufacture the period of ban based on your anger over the post? I think the super mods should as an additional duty monitor and veto the actions of the mods... Let there be checks and balances!
*If its a good company with prospects & moderate pay at least*

Employ me for 2 months without pay, set up a team to monitor & evaluate my performance for that duration & if I don't score an 'A' at the end of the 2 months, I promise you my first salary at my next job as a way of compensating you for seemingly wasting your time hiring me.

*Then as a follow up sentence...*

But I'm quite confident of scoring an A sir.

smiley*Did I hear someone say creative? OK, well, I modestly admit that's part of my attributes* wink
In some cases, what you are suggesting might be succidal. Firstly, your employer might see that as a sign of arrogance or over confidence... and for 2 months? guy, you'll still be settling into the job! Secondly, what if the team is not being fair to you? hmmm, you'll lose your job before you know it embarassed

4reigningqueen: Imagine this

A teacher enters a class and a class that was rowdy suddenly becomes quiet. The teacher starts teaching with the students paying absolute attention. After explaining, the students struggled among themselves to ask questions. The bell for a change of period goes but the students are begging him to continue.

Will you say the students were bored?
Well, it depends on your perspective. here is another: A teacher enters a class and a class that was rowdy suddenly becomes quiet(it might be because the students are greatly afraid of him).
The teacher starts teaching with the students paying absolute attention, (now to be sincere with you, they might just be very scared of what your reaction might be if they do not concentrate, infact how do you measure absolute attention?)
After explaining, the students struggled among themselves to ask questions, (now, my personal favourite, this stamps it that you are dealing with a bunch of scared kids who feel they are screewed if they dont put up that stunt to make you feel that they are eager to answer your questions. kids do that alot you know! who knows, you might just be one of those **I'll beat the hell outta you, if you don't answer my questions correctly teachers**. grin )
The bell for a change of period goes but the students are begging him to continue.(Ah, yes! they want you to finish up the syllabus in a single day so that they wont have to pass through that HELL again cheesy)
Will you say the students were bored?(Again, this depends on your perception) cheesy grin wink

adejoro75: And he was fired from FRSC for fraud.
Get some help, mate. He founded a non-profit making road safety club that is still in existence. How could he have been sacked when he wasn't working for no one? Who fired him... You? However if you have any evidence to support your claim that he was FIRED, produce them and let's learn...that's if you are not just arguing across ethnic lines.
PoliticsRe: The Most Respected & Honoured Man In Nigeria Currently by PalmTree(m): 12:22am On Jan 06, 2013
adejoro75: Old man, you are ignorant. The first armed robber in Nigeria did so out of hunger. Then others came who were not poor but wanted other people's property out of greed. They learned from the first robber. Got the analogy?
Do you seriously think that your analogy relates to my previous post? This same Soyinka started the FRSC (special marshal)to assist the main corps, however due to certain circumstances he is no longer involved. Now if the present members undermine the intergrity of the corps, in your own candid opinion, is it Soyinka's fault?
^^^What 'stats' do you want?.....data gathered from worldwide studies that show Achebe is 'more internationally recognised than a nobel prize winner' as you put it?; are those the stats you want me to show you?

Others have given their 'subjective' opinion on who they feel is most respected and honoured in Nigeria....you didn't ask them for 'stats', and just b'cos i say Achebe is my pick internationally, you go and get your knickers in a twist and demand for 'stats'.

It's my opinion, and i don't have to convince you about it.....which going by the hatred some of you have for the man Achebe, would be an impossible task; so let's agree to disagree and move on.
Very funny, 'cos I don't see how my posts suggest any of your claims. Your opinion is just suprising, thats all. Ciao!

adejoro75: Soyinka is a cultist

Emeka Anayaoku is the most respected man in Nigeria today. Fortunately, his wife is Yoruba so they cannot tribalize his fame. They are stuck with him wink wink wink wink
Young man, You have been misinformed! and its so sad cry cry. What you call a cult group was created solely to promote human right activism. Agreed, over the years it has turned into an avenue through which hoodlums and thugs propagate vices, and this happened long after soyinka graduated. Now you tell me, how is this soyinka's fault? Comprende?

Christianity EtcRe: The Act Of 'giving To God' As Explained By Pastor E. A. Adeboye by PalmTree(m): 9:56am On Jan 04, 2013
PalmTree: Lmao!!!
Let's go scriptural, somewhere in the book of malachi God promised to bless us if we bring our TITHES and OFFERINGS and I agree. But pastors are not contented with that so we should sow seeds again? If there is any on going project in the church, members should sow, if pastor wan buy jet, members should sow again. So what will the members eat? The scriptures also say that God loves a cheerful giver, I'm sure after the tithe and offering most members can't give cheerfully anymore.
You knw larry izamoje who donated 10k and got blessed? How are you sure that he got blessed because of the donation? Ok, I know bukky adekeye who also donated 20k because she wanted to fund her building project and got nothing! Explain.

julius2825: thank you,you see, there are so many things that are yet to be revealed to the the general public, and they are not going to be revealed as expected, before anything is done or expressed in the outernal it is firstly concluded in the spirit, there is noting in this world that doesn't fro with that prospect, you talked about religious prospect, let me just tell you this, take it or don't,there is no body on these earth that is not in a religious prospect,it is just like a maintaining strategy, everyone has that, some might not make it visible but it is there and even more wicked, were you can mostly see does kinds are in the western worlds, please don't quote me wrong if you are not aware, there are preparation of revolution going on as of now,but people are not aware, because of opposition strategies.you think you can do anything without religiousness,i repeat there is nobody on this earth,it is either you are in the wrong religion or the right one,it is just like maintainance, nobody can move without it.talking about development, the prospect of development varies, the whole world's development now has seem to be to that of the western world, let me just ask you this simple question,do you know the precaution of their development, there never allow anyone to infiltrate into the prospect of their precaution, the would secure that with all what it takes(religion)that is their religiouse prospect.
Now to nigeria, just go to the bible and read the story of the AMORITES that's what is happening to nigeria today, nigerians were never never negative,it just that our importance is so prime,we are the country that has been said about.do you think obasanjo is clueless with does of the words he is saying earlier,he knows whats going on,those times of great revolution has come, ofcourse we are all going to testify to it,but the question is how damage would we have been by the precaution of our opposers when that time reaches.
Talking about the mind, two things can never walk in one place, just begging to think about two things, they can never work together,we are nigerians and the bible says we should receive everything as we were giving, the prospect we live in is what is expected of us to live in thou it is not satisfying, but it is still the same as the story of the AMORITE,please my dear friend,we have to be strong in the term of our traditional stand first, before talking about any thing, when not just football but many other things have taking consentrate of your mind, those most important of things wouldn't fell free to be else accommodated, then there is fault.
Please just seat down reason and think back as you are giving, don't be outdated things are happening in this country, but not yet to the physical visibility,it would be to percentage late to comprehend when it come's to the physical visibility.
Relax and save yourself the stress of typing bullshyte! You may have a point but it matters little to anyone since you can't present your case intelligently. I don't mean to sound harsh but dts the truth.
IslamRe: Non-alcoholic Beer For Muslims, Is It Haram? by PalmTree(m): 12:43pm On Jan 03, 2013
How come the sales of beer and other aloholic brands drop drastically during the RAMADAN? I have a relative that works with the Nigerian Breweries sales force so I'm kinda sure of the stats. The point is that every moslem here has posted a NO against alcohol consumption, but the truth is that moslems are the largest consumers of alcohol(in naija) HOWEVER DURING THE RAMADAN, they go super holy hence the sales of alcohol drops only to reach an alarming peak after 30 days. If you dont believe my claim, just ask around your neighborhood, any cool spot or beer distributor perhaps. Don't get me wrong, NOT ONLY MOSLEMS drink and NOT ALL MOSLEMS drink.
