funshiba: Sensitive topic for me.Truth is you never loved her. True love conquers all. You have left her to her fate and you will move on and source an AA chic to have children for you. |
jackbauersballs: LolNa DJ Zeez disappearance surprise me pass cause the chap seemed talented. |
I dont usually believe in diabolical type stories but many of the posters have conveniently left out the fact that by the time he died he had already built a mausoleum for himself. Now why does a 34 year old man build a mausoleum for himself? He must have been a 419 guy man or like legend says he agreed with Okija Juju that he was ready to die young in return for getting rich quick. |
This shitt faker than a N5000 note! Suicide my broke azz! |
Afam4eva: Rival cults hold talksGuy na like FSA v SAA for Syria. Peace talk tingz.... Scores: Tintin 8 - 14 Ayemi Axeman |
Policewoman: Nigeria is not ready yet for space travel. Heck even South Africa with all its economic and infastructural advancements have not even considered this silly move. He whose house is on fire does not chase rats. We have more pressing wahalas to spend our little money on.Madam u dey the system na. Launching unmanned rockets na die and many advanced countries still get it wrong and Naija wan train astronauts..... Of course its just another area to which they can allocate budget funds for the next 10/15 years for our greedy politicians to siphon away. Anyone who believes this ish needs their head checking. |
@topic LWKMD..... Daz all |
Sincere 9gerian: Besides bomb blast, when was the last time we heard of dare devil armed robbery operation?Yesterday 3pm at my mum's business. 9 suckers on 3 motorcycles in broad daylight! Fools only got away with a £50 Nokia phone and a china made Samsung Ace. LWKMD! How dem pusywhole gwan share dat among nine a dem? |

ebamma 3: .if lagos state is not safe as the article implies why then is thatThe same reason 23 million people live in Syria and 7 million live in Baghdad. Hell, millions of people live in Somalia. |
991: rubish!!! those brothers and sister trying to survive. the topic says 'fraud' as if it was really fraud. My sentiments. I thought it was bank fraud or the likes instead it was a story of people hustling to better themselves by trying to work albeit illegally. Millions of people are at any one time working illegally the world over. |
Princek12: If you guys read critically, Dana Air's statement supports the Nairalander's claim. The only difference between Dana and the Nairanlander's claim, however, is the use of semantics and euphemism. What the Nairalander referred to as a "technical fault," Dana referred to as a "snag." Further, the Nairalander said that the flight took off and had to return to its origin due to the technical fault. Similarly, Dana maintains that the flight was "canceled" as a matter of precaution because of the "snag," in line with "global best practices." It is noteworthy that Dana's admission that the plane was grounded and that another plane had to "ferry" the 44 passengers to Abuja safely is an implied admission that the plane had a snag or technical fault and returned to its origin. This supports the technical fault assertion made by the Nairalander.I can only imagine you got so many thanks because you bamboozled the posters that thanked you with your well composed post but the truth is you havent got a clue. In the airline industry world over, it is a normal occurrence that during final checks by the crew and ground staff, technical problems will be spotted which will result in the delay of a flight or a change of aircraft. I have been in this position as a passenger myself several times. This is what happened here and it is a non issue. The original poster inferred that the plane got up to speed, attempted to take off and aborted. Anyone who has 2 brain cells to rub together knows that sequence of events is totally impossible to achieve. An air return (which did not occur in this case) is also fairly normal in the aviation world. A BA plane had a serious air return over London 3 weeks ago and BA must have operated thousands of flights since then. No trained pilot in the world will fly a faulty plane like was claimed in the June 3 crash. I marvelled when I watched a report on Channels where a woman without one technical avionic term in her vocabulary who sounded like a janitor was the only source of the report that DANA deliberately flew a faulty aircraft. |
kreami diva: Good job Dana Air! U were quick to rebut dis one.how about rebutting the fact dat it's only a handful of the deceased's relatives dat have received compensation from u ppl after one year.biko u ppl should compensate d people u killed their loved ones.datsallDid you go to school? Dana Air does not pay compensation. It is the responsibility if their insurers. |
yuzedo: Huh?! Iyaya went to Londoon??!?!?! who gived dis callaber ekuke houseman vissa?!?!!?pliz Yuzedo am comin 2 Lagos in 2 week time. Can i stayed in yur manshion in banana eyesland? I can pay you dolars if you kant let me leave there for free. Only 1 week staying i nid? |
texaco1: despite the fact that nigeria police are largely incompetent,if this eye witness account is true then the victim would have been shot by any police officer in the usa.I pray you and all members of your immediate family meet this same fate. Your brain must be rotten if you somehow think it is justified for police to kill a man for driving against traffic and smiling. This wouldnt happen in the states but even if it was the norm over there, does that make it acceptable? |
domcarez: See some nairalanders and their gullibility, think outside the box wil u, the sole aim of this initiative to attract more funds from abroad to nigeria thus curtailing capital flight which z detrimental to our economy,if this move succeeds, u wil c more funds cming 4rm abroad to nigeria to develop the real estate sector thus creating jobs for our unemployed, for once lets reason like learned persons. With this initiative constant capital wil flow into d economy 4rm abroad which z very healthy 4 d stabilization of the nairaIt just shows you that 90% of posters in the politics section are not very sharp. The Federal Mortgage Bank is not a charity so this proposed facility will be provided at interest rates at par if not more than what can be obtained by Nigerians at home. The only difference I can imagine will be the relaxation of KYC rules to allow thw acceptance of foreign documents to prove identity, income e.t.c. For all the morons complaining, anyone with the means can already walk into FMBN or any other bank for that matter and apply for a mortgage. You just have to be able to prove that you can afford it. This will be no different for Nigerians abroad. Do you really think FMB will provide a mortgage for a N150 Million house in Lekki to a cab driver in London on the mere production of a British passport? |
You can't franchise a multi-national company like that. You can create a subsidiary, but I doubt they'll allow the franchising of their name especially in a "virgin" territory.
No international hotel franchise owns a hotel in Lagos. They manage the hotels on behalf of Nigerian owners. Sheraton Lagos is controlled by the Ibru family (Ikeja Hotel Ltd) but managed by Starwood International under the Sheraton name. Radisson Blu is owned by Oba Otudeko but managed by Carlson Rezidor Group under the Radisson name. Hilton Abuja is owned by Transcorp but operated by the Hilton group. It was at one time jointly owned by NICON and Noga thus it was called Nicon Noga Hilton. If you remember Eko Hotel was called Eko Holiday Inn in the 80s. It was then managed by the Holiday Inn chain. Big hotel groups find it less risky and less capital intensive to operate hotels on behalf of local investors in developing countries. |
Please does anyone know how soon GTB debit one's account for the purchase? My money is still lying in my account. Zenith would have debited by now. This is my first time of doing this with GTB
Tomorrow before noon. In my case on both ocassions it was debited on the Friday after the auction. They havent charged me their 0.125% yet. I wonder when they'll deduct that. |
Just buy a Google Nexus 4 for £240/$300 |
Rednose: Yet, Dana Air is back in business. Whatever happened to our revolt-power and boy-cott spirit? It seems that because Nigerians no longer seem to care, we are being taking for a ride in Aviation, Energy, Education etc. The Nigerian Aviation seems to have recovered from this incidence so soon that Dana Air is back, I wonder why. It wasn't so with Sosoliso Airlines. You are ignorant. A plane crash doesnt always have to be someone or the airline's fault. Accidents which couldnt have been forseen happen. A BA plane almost crashed in London about 2 weeks ago and one of their 777s which had lost all power, glided to a crash landing at Heathrow 3/4 years ago. Why are they still in business? I didnt know anyone personally on that flight but the story of Maimuna Anyene is one I'll never forget. RIP to all who perished. |
Welder: I would have given the award to FirstBank considering the way they have managed to innovate and remain very relevant in the industry. FirstBank has equally moved outside the shores of Naija to other african countries, but hey am no Euromoney or EMEA or whatever body that constitutes this stuff.First bank is shyte! I opened an account with them last month and I still havent heard anything about my cheque book or online log on details. Compare that to GT Bank where I opened an account as a last resort after FB messed up. A staff member from HQ who I still havent me personally brought the account opening forms to my house. My account was set up same day which was a Monday, I received my online log on details by email the next day, collected my token on Thursday and my debit card & cheque book were ready for collection by Friday. I dont know about Africa o but in Nigeria, they are the No 1 ogbonge bank. Keep it up GT! |
yamakuza: How do you get a working girl pregnant on duty?By doing it live. Remember this was in 1983. AIDS had only been scientifically classified 3 years earlier so I'd imagine it was the norm to have sex with working girls without protection. It was the responsibility of the working girl to use contraceptives cause getting knocked up meant no work for her plus the burden of a bastard child. Men could easily treat any STDs contracted with antibiotics |
Lilimax: Why does it take this long for the guy to claim his paternity? The story has just been resurrected again. It has been in the news since the early 90s but the powerful Clinton has always managed to suppress it. A state trooper Raymond Young, who was later rewarded with an Asst. Director of operations position at FEMA even admitted to British press that he drove Billy boy to link up with Bobbie Ann for their sexual liaisons. No be only Naija dem dey use connections abi how da hell do you explain the appointment of a retired low ranked policeman to the post of Asst. Director? |
speedyboi: Stop lying to yourself. Your 'Uni pal' traveled out of Nigeria cos he thought he will be plucking money in SA. Isn't it?You are a grade 1 mor0n! Na person daft like this? were your refused SA visa or something? Why are you bitter against people that emigrate. People have been emigrating since the beginning of time. People emigrate for various reasons and to better themselves and increase their earning potential is one of them. |
sweetcheecks: The more reasons he says they must leave the place, so why exactly are angry with forI wouldnt visit SA talk less of living there but emigration is part of life. To say most people emigrate for the sake of it is daft. |
speedyboi: Most Nigerians don't travel out of the country cos they are broke, They leave the country cos they want to 'travel out'. I've seen a person who resigned a well paid job, sold his property just to buy a ticket to 'travel out'. Only to become nuisance in another man's country. Nigerians have a huge pack of Inferiority complex in their DNA. I will always advise anyone; Instead of 'traveling out' to waste away your life, use your ticket money to start something out of your life. My 50 kobo. Are you under 18? And to think 8 other people thanked you for this dumb comment. To say 'most' Nigerians emigrate just for the sake of it or just to 'travel out' as you put it is not only simplistic but it shows you dont have an understanding of real life issues hence my conclusion that you must be a teenager. My Uni pal lost his wife and daughter to the mob in SA in the last major xenophobic attack on Nigerians in that crime infested hell hole. If only our leaders managed our human and natural resources properly, why would any of us leave that country with its beaches, beautiful weather and food? |
chrissy3: dude it looks as though u know nothing about israel, they are a christian nation in d middle of arabs and they are dominantThe award for mumuni of the day goes to you. Israel a Xtian nation? WTF! |
dbride: Well said; God said He would scatter the Jews, they would go into captivity and He would gather them again back to the land He alreadyBalderdash. Can you quote me the verse in the Bible which says all this? That same God enabled Israel to build evil nuclear weapons and kill thousands of men, women and children. Do not forget that these men, women and children were created by God. God is all knowing and you expect me to believe that God allowed Israel to be forcefully created even though he knew all the problems that would come with such a creation. Israel in the Bible is so so different from the geographical nation state called Israel today. |
cerebral assain: Since dawn of times no nation has been able 2 obliterate Israel so wat re u guys sayinIsrael as a nation didnt even exist until 1948. |
gboru: Israel .....I don't think anyone can defeat them....#God's chosenGod's chosen that didnt have a home land for hundreds of years? God's chosen that were killed like rats by Hitler? We are all God's chosen ones and all that BS about georaphical mordern day Israel being God's chosen ones dont wash. |
