Now tell me d person dat shot dis man do u think he deserves to b granted d right to appeal at all?

My mum was robbed just last Wednesday, the latest in several robbery incidents. My dad is blind in one eye, the result of being smashed in the face with the butt of a gun, my mum has a patch on her head where her hair doesnt grow because an armed robber smashed her head in. My dad has lost a car to robbers so did my sister in 2011. We have been victims of 4 home invasions where the robbers gained access and 2 where they didnt. I was robbed in Uni and escaped robbers by whiskers on the road.

So dont go preaching to me about the menace of armed robbers or people willing to kill. I have nothing against capital punishment but I am strongly against the execution of convicted persons without appropriate notice or where they have appeals pending moreso in a country like Nigeria with a tainted judiciary.

blank: ALL as in EVERY single one of the prisoners had their appeals rejected at the supreme court. The appeals they are talking of is for them to not execute them. When Supreme court has said they should execute them.

I will go and dig up their law case histories and stories then you can judge for yourself.

When all appeals are exhausted, then fine go ahead and execute but not an appeal is pending.

Whilst I have no sympathy for criminals, I think Nigeria is doomed if majority of its youth as shown here on this forum think it is okay to execute a convicted man while he has an appeal pending in court.

How can any sane person think it is okay to simply call a man out of his cell and lead him to the gallows without prior notice?

If 2 carriers 'truly' love themselves then there are ways round having SS children e.g. Adoption, CVS.

Why stop at asking 2 carriers not to get married? Why dont we campaign that people shouldnt marry carriers AS/SS so that the trait can be eradicated in maybe a generation or two. Should we also campaign that relationships where one or both partners is HIV positive, shouldnt lead to marriage?

I am not trying to put down your efforts and I would be lying if I said I can feel your pain but your campaign should be about educating people about the disease and not telling them who to marry.

In the airline industry world over, it is a normal occurrence that during final checks by the crew and ground staff, technical problems will be spotted which will result in the delay of a flight or a change of aircraft. I have been in this position as a passenger myself several times. This is what happened here and it is a non issue.

The original poster inferred that the plane got up to speed, attempted to take off and aborted. Anyone who has 2 brain cells to rub together knows that sequence of events is totally impossible to achieve. An air return (which did not occur in this case) is also fairly normal in the aviation world. A BA plane had a serious air return over London 3 weeks ago and BA must have operated thousands of flights since then.

No trained pilot in the world will fly a faulty plane like was claimed in the June 3 crash. I marvelled when I watched a report on Channels where a woman without one technical avionic term in her vocabulary who sounded like a janitor was the only source of the report that DANA deliberately flew a faulty aircraft.

You are ignorant. A plane crash doesnt always have to be someone or the airline's fault. Accidents which couldnt have been forseen happen. A BA plane almost crashed in London about 2 weeks ago and one of their 777s which had lost all power, glided to a crash landing at Heathrow 3/4 years ago. Why are they still in business?

I didnt know anyone personally on that flight but the story of Maimuna Anyene is one I'll never forget. RIP to all who perished.

First bank is shyte! I opened an account with them last month and I still havent heard anything about my cheque book or online log on details.

Compare that to GT Bank where I opened an account as a last resort after FB messed up. A staff member from HQ who I still havent me personally brought the account opening forms to my house. My account was set up same day which was a Monday, I received my online log on details by email the next day, collected my token on Thursday and my debit card & cheque book were ready for collection by Friday.

I dont know about Africa o but in Nigeria, they are the No 1 ogbonge bank. Keep it up GT!
