There was no auction on 3 April so I guess the 2 week cycle has changed. The next 3 auctions should be on 10, 24 April, 8 May. They may have altered the cycle to beat quite a few public holidays which auction days would have fallen on in the previous auction Calendar. 1 May (May Day), 29 May (Democracy Day), June 12 (Democracy Day Lagos only) Getting information in Nigeria is almost impossible |
Gistwitherico: As a guy insults can be tolerated by me 4rm my fellow guy, e.g. Drunkard father! But when u call my mom ashewoo..., WAHALA GO DEY OH, play no reach that level!I have never understood this rubbish. I have a few friends like this as well wey no like make u yab their mama. All na yab and affects no one. Strangely, I would rather u diss my moms cos I like my pops more. |
Guseh: My share was only N45.5m – Airport robberies suspectWell done to the Nigeria Police for getting these mofos. I know these are noy innocent civillians but hard criminals ready to kill for money. I hope the police give them the SARS treatment i.e. shoot them in the leg and watch it rot away....bastards! |
Seun: You also pay a COT of 0.5% at the end of the month. So the total cost is 0.625%, out of the 2.N% you get on 90 day tbills. But I read that CBN ordered banks to reduce COT to 0.3% i.e. N3 on every N1,000. Have the banks failed to implement this? |
Both songs are rubbish. Anyone comparing this nonsense with Olamide's First of All has too much wax in his/her ear. |
The guy has a massive dome! |
While waiting for our flight to Lagos. You know, a typical Nigerian gate. rowdy and noisy. The problem started when it was announced our flight will be delayed for 2 hours. It was like some switch was turned on the heads of these Igbos boys. Before this, these guys had harassed basically every young woman on the plane and now they are threatening to beat up the airport staff because their flight was delayed. The most annoying part is that, they started vandalising the desk at the gate. The airport staff and security showed a lot of restrain because one of them was even assaulted.
I witnessed this as well last December. I had arrived Lagos from Madrid the previous night and almost half the plane didn't get their luggage. There were grumbles, occasional burst of emotion but no violence. Compare this with what I witnessed the next evening as I went to see if my luggage had arrived. Passengers from a recently arrived flight from Madrid including me hoping to find my luggage from the previous night had started to gather round a belt which was still sending out the boxes of mainly traders who had arrived on an earlier Turkish Airlines flight as. Then the belt stopped and an official said that was all from the Turkish Airlines flight. See fight. These traders dont play. Started jumping on the belt, overturned queue management stands, chairs e.t.c and manhandled any airport staff they laid eyes upon. All these in the international arrival hall of Nigeria's major airport. I remember flying out of Lagos in 2011 and as we passed the point of no return on take-off, I started hearing some commotion and loud noises from the back of the plane. I was sure it was the end. As my blood turned ice cold I managed to steal a glance to my left where 2 hostesses were sat. They didn't look perturbed and they even wryly smiled at each other. After I regained my composure and listened carefully, It turned out to be 2 Nigerian women arguing and cursing each other. Mudafookers almost gave me a heart attack! |
Why is the presidential pardon part of the constitution of many countries? I suspect it may have been included in the constitution of countries like the US because of events like the civil war. Nigeria like many other countries have probably just adopted it as our constitution in many parts is plagiarised. It is not needed in these modern times where there is a strong judiciary. It has been abused and continues to be abused in the US, Nigeria and other countries world over. As it serves no useful purpose I suggest a Rep move a motion to have it deleted from the constitution |
hopsydboi: #1stcomment. Nice one tho... Some people dont even knw NSCDC exist untill d issue arise nd dy talk nd make prank as if dy knw wat NSCDC.. Bf d ish! Am sure 60% of 'my oga @ d top' promoter dnt knw NSCDC. Nd 80% dnt knw d website! However it was a nice trend to laugh @..To be honest, I has never heard of the NSCDC before Mr Shem's interview. I think its the same organisation whose officers were called 'Guguru Defence' in the past. Mr Shem's interview has now registered the agency firmly in the minds of hundreds of thousands of young, social media generation of Nigerians who otherwise would never have heard of the it. Its true that there is no such thing as bad Publicity |
Seun: Did you find the CBN Treasury Bill issue programme?I also Searched the CBN website but couldn't find a diary or schedule of planned auctions. Seun/Feelamong How much do the banks charge for helping a customer buy T Bills? |
Yall biyatches mean you'll give up the P for some potatoes and sprouts? For real?! You'd be better off selling your wares on Adeola Odeku IMHO. The returns are better on road. |
feelamong: Please find below, details of Wednesday 27/03/2013 T/Bills auction@ Mr Feelamong You no even answer my question about auction days that fall on public holidays. You are probably to busy. No be small thing to make money Anyway why was there an auction yesterday 27 March when there was one last Wednesday 20 March? I thought the auctions only happened bi-monthly |
dbride: Did GTB close shop here?Has Dbanj closed shop in Africa? If I remember correctly he performed at AFCON 2013 which means he is still King of his country. |
kingoflag: You obviously got no idea how the music industry operates.... why dont you just head back to the Politics section doing what you do best---spewing propaganda.Tell the guy o. Just like you, I have no time for Dbanj but I cant knock the boys hustle. There is a big chance (99%) that his experiment will not be successful but it wont be for lack of Trying. |
Afam4eva: You're an illiterate. next time don't say what you're not nure of. Most of Dangote's businesses are in Nigeria. He made his money in Nigeria. He's based in Lagos and Kano and not anywhere outside the shores. If you don't know something, sip it and ask question instead of displaying ignorance. You are the illiterate. Going by your theory, Dangote's business should have only remained where it started. He shouldnt have expanded. What Dbanj is doing is no different to trying to expand your business. Yes he is a king in Nigeria but there is no harm in trying to expand your brand. Do you expect him to just get to America and start competing with A listers immediately. He has to learn the tricks of the trade in a foreign land. A doctor with 100 years experience in Nigeria will have to sit PLAB exams if he decides he wants to practise in the UK. GT Bank is one of the top 3 banks in Nigeria today yet they saw it fit to open a tiny operation in London, one of the biggest financial capitals of the world. |
Afam4eva: Pls tell us how Dangote explored further. What exactly did he do that's similar to what D'Banj is doing. Are you really this dumb? Did Dangote operations start all over Nigeria, Africa in one day? You are probably a villager and the type that back in the 60s advised my dad to remain a teacher living in a large mud house in the village instead of moving to that one room apartment in Mushin in order to complete his professional accounting examinations. |
Afam4eva: Where did Dangote spread his tentacles to? Has he not always been in Nigeria. Has he not always been known as a Nigerian Millionaire? Did he have to travel to the US to be acknowledged? So when he started making money, did he stick to being a local champion? NO! He explored further. It is no different to what Dbanj is doing. Spin it how you like but you cant dispute that cracking America is every musicians dream. |
Afam4eva: So, Big Sean is now bigger than D'Banj. How are the mighty fallen, tell it not in Ogbomoso, publish it not in the streets of Lagos. It seems as though D'Banj is starting from square one. Why not remain a king where you come from and where you're more appreciated rather than been a slave somewhere else.I am no fan of Dbanj but what a moronic way of reasoning. If Dangote had chosen to remain a king in Kano and not spread his tentacles, I doubt he would be the 43rd richest man in the world today. |
Reasonable pple knew it was a parody account, only the foolish and abrasive ones continued with the invectives. Nothing do u jare, continue to dey strafff Kanye .
It wasnt a parody account. It was shopped! |
@Feelamong, Seun and others what happens when auction dates fall on public holdays like May 1, May 29 and June 12. Does the auction take place the day before/after or it doesnt happen for another 2 weeks? Regards |
Fantastic thread Mannie Fresh Hindsight is a biyatch! As a young man fresh out of Uni with personal funds of approximately N1 million back in 2001, I wish I had invested N500,000 into Nigeria Breweries back then. My investment would be worth about N15 million now according to your calculations ![]() Man chose to buy a Skirach and travel to London with the money instead. Well, in my next life I wont make the same mistake. |
ZIM DRILL: they a lie it aint mandatory in UK, i do MOT repairs no is failed becoz it doesnt haveFrom 2011, in the EU, all new cars and small vans must be fitted with DRLs. My car is an 09 model and has LED DRLs fitted as standard. I wont lie though, the thing looks cool and gets you noticed. People find it hard to believe when I tell them the LED DRLs influenced my choice of car |
danot1030: I am a Xtian but not a fanatic. I also like to apply a little common sense. Show me any passage in the bible that explains that Jesus is God (Not verses lost in translation) |
texazzpete: Bla bla bla, the Holocaust did happen, only brain dead m0r0ns like you still express doubt. And you're completely sympathetic towards the murder of 3 million innocent men, women and Children.Odenson! I thought it was 6 million jews that were killed now you are saying it is 3 million. FYI - outside of Israel, the largest number of jews live in....you guessed it.....Iran. You didnt answer my question about Israel having nuclear weapons and not wanting Iran to acquire same Israel used banned white phosphorus gas against the Palestinians quite recently. I actually think the Iranians are mumu. How can Israel, a non-signatory to the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty try to make a signatory (Iran) comply? Makes no sense! |
My only question is Why do the Israeli's who have nuclear weapons not want Iran to acquire same? For all the dumb so called Xtians who suck up to Israel, the Ayatollah only responded to threats which have been publicly made by hawks in Washington and Tel Aviv about attacking Irans nuclear facilities. I think it coming quite late from the Ayatollah considering these threats against Iran have been out there so long. I am completely against the holocaust (if it did happen) but with all the trouble caused by these Zionists, I can somewhat understand why Hitler did what he did. I am a Xtian by the way but Jesus is not God |
joseph1013: While this is goodnews to some I consider it an INSULT that a Nigerian International (and an African Champion for that matter) would be offered a TRIAL. Did the nations cup not garner enough coverage for Wenger to see his performance. Can he offer a trial to a French International or Belgian International. Make Wenger park well jor. Offer him a contract straightaway abeg and stop ridiculing our national team. The most painful thing about this comment is not that the poster is dumb but that someone was dumb enough to thank him. The biggest stars in the world have gone on trial in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Yaya Toure, Zlatan Ibrahimovic are some of the big names that have come on trial at Arsenal in the past. Carlos Tevez went to West Ham to play. That was a kind of trial because no one was willing to take a gamble on him. You really expect Arsene to just sign someone hitherto unknown before the Nations Cup just because he has played six games? He might as well have signed Younis Mahmoud, the striker who was the highest goal scorer and part of the Iraqi winning team at the 2007 AFC Asian Cup (Asia's Nations Cup equivalent) |
OP na oversabi I believe Truck drivers are responsible for fuelling their own trucks just like commercial vehicle drivers. All I can see this guy doing is selling a commodity he has excess of, to people in an area where there is scarcity. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. Infact the driver must be commended for being business savvy rather than an all out thief who would sell the kerosine he has been asked to deliver and mix the rest with water. Direct your investigstions to the real thieves siphoning millions of dollars from the Nigerian treasury on a daily basis. |
nke001: Okay, thanks. You are not very bright |
spyroxy1: wetin u no fit talk...He must have been the chief butcher in his cult in school....lol |
Disappointed. Looks too much like my current W212 which came out in 2009. |
