True story circa 1995.

Ask any one that went to Winners Chapel around that time when they had their HQ somewhere in Ipaja. My friend (Gbenga Ogunrinde) and his family attended the church. They lived on Oni Street in Akowonjo. One evening as they returned home from a reviaval/service from the church they were accosted by armed robbers at their gate. Instead of following the orders of the men of the underworld, they began to bind the robbers with holy ghost fire and all sorts.

What ensued was a massacre, Gbenga, his dad and mum were felled by the robbers bullets. His brother survived but still bears scars from the bullet entry and exit wounds. Tears flowed like no mans business at their interment in Yaba.

Nigerians are truly daft and with short memories. At no point in that statement has Reuters admitted that the video is fake, they have withdrawn the story (temporarily I would guess) because the Nigerian authorities have 'raised concerns' about it's date and location.

I don think any member of the public has seen the video but didnt Al Jazeera show several videos of these types of heinous acts being committed by the JTF during the capture and murder of Mohammed Yusuf, Baba Fugu Mohammed and several young men in the same Maiduguri.
