Seun has not been serious with Nairaland, that's all. He has enjoyed grace which a lot of people don't have but if you misuse it, it will turn to disgrace. I was here since inception and only came back recently. Nairaland is built by the quality of people on the platform, once they go, it becomes garbage.

Many people have tried to have their forums which are not successful. But again, companies have survived for years and died because the owners have taken business for granted. Success is a drug, you don't defend it you keep going hungry. That's why it's easier for people to rise to the top than stay there. A wise king uses the counsel of fools and chiefs to reign successfully.

Well, I wasn't comfortable with the way a tax worker was not willing to share details of the portal/remita or something I could use by myself. Quite insisting to help where I wasn't willing to be helped. And I should just bring the cash when it's time.

So I left there leaving their form behind, as January is the actual time. And felt like trying firs online instead. Someone was also saying I would pay for "development fees". So maybe they thought I was there looking for an opportunity to waste money. Cos once you say you do online stuff, it seems to many like it's Yahoo.

I will try again in January, and maybe walk straight to the head office where I registered, and if they're not ready to show me the right link, they can call me when they're ready. Or I'll check Firs online...

Thanks
This is why I recommended a Chartered Accountant to help you handle your taxes. The corruption can be irritating but the accountant will know what to do. You can also do it yourself but make sure you get receipts. These govt officials steal from their government just as police, immigration and customs do.

Don't worry bro... Do what pays you. But I promise it pays much better to do right—my experience for 13 years. Even if government chooses to do evil, it doesn't make them qualify to be my role models.

And you know taxing is already on some major online platforms—I think they are the ones to make it well-known...

In the end, each one will receive what they deserve: government or civilian...
I love your thinking. Ignore them. You have shown to be a highly principled person, that is one of the elements of the successful people. They are focused on their values more than anything else.

People that use taxes to tell you Nigeria is better are deceiving you. Nigeria is where it is because your taxes are being misused. Someone saying you go enjoy money, this and that. At what cost? cost of irregular power supply? No potable water supply. Bad roads. Bad education. All the things you want to enjoy abroad are the result of taxes and investments. If they let it rot or chop all the taxes, their societies will collapse. It is foolish to think that the non accountability of our taxes is a good thing to enjoy Nigeria. That is a scarcity mindset that is built on jungle matrix where the fittest survive. The welfare system abroad is a way to ensure unemployment reduces and people don't take to crime. This is sense 101 but the politicians have deprived us so much we are now thinking like monkeys. Even the monkeys still remain small banana for their folk after fighting.

Let me tell you the stupid part of what our leaders are doing. They invest our money abroad and those people use it to make their countries better. Tax is not a bad thing. It makes you talk. You can talk to the politician if he is wasting your money on foolish expenses. Nigerians are so weak, they passed the buck to God when the gods on earth are stealing their money and they are clapping for them.

The country is very bad.

Everything is falling apart, people are barely coping.

Save us the sermon of if he bad for your eye...

Everyone, both the rich and the poor are paying more than times 2 than what they used to, but wages and salary have barely change, some even reduce the wages of their workers to keep business afloat.

Many who are not moving today don't have the means to, others cannot risk it, why some others don't know how to cope in a new environment, especially when they don't have anyone expecting them on the other side.

Some are criminals who find 9ja as a safer haven for their criminal activities.

Our politicians literally don't believe in the country, except for the ease to loot public resources. They easily run to foreign institutions for better health and vacations.

No one is more faithful and hopeful than the poor, but most still remain poor regardless of what they believe in.

Many have been watering but there is little to no yield.

I have learnt offline skills such as: phone and laptop repair, fixing electrical appliances as well as light, barbing, and driving. Then online based skills such as digital marketing, prompt engineering, Adobe photos hop, and I am now a newbie in tech. And my main plan is to get a job over there; sponsored visa so immediately I touch down I will get to work. And if that plan doesn't work out I will just flow with menial jobs while opening my eyes to opportunities.
Did I say I am also a graduate with 2.1 though I don't know how they view our results over there
Very good of you. You have prospects, don't be deterred. I like that you have formal and informal skills and you are improving yourself. You also have a good outlook to life. Now, here is one thing that you will need to learn in your journey. It is the language of global politics. You need to learn personal and interpersonal skills, how to talk, what to say, when to say it. To do this you need to learn culture of these countries. I will advise you not to listen to losers. Do you know who are the losers? They complain about everything. The winners will complain but tell you what they did to win after complaining. Listen to these people , you have a lot to learn from them. Also, DON'T try to be like anybody else. Your story is different, write it and live it. Get info from blogs and YouTube. I don't want to put news, they are useful but they like to spread bad news, when you read blogs you will learn from the person in the story directly. No filters.

1. Get your result assessed to any of these countries. Find the equivalent. You went to school now is time to show you went through school. There is discrimination in every country. What you need to do is study what they need, what you have and if there is anything you need to satisfy them. These countries use certificates in different industries because they're regulated so find out which one you need. Go to the job boards of these countries and write down the most common certification you see them always requesting for. That certification will help you and you may not need to go to another school again. The certification can also make you get jobs from Nigeria.

2. Do not outsource your life to someone else. You own it. You are waiting for a sponsorship visa. That's good but start finding a way to move yourself without anyone. The thing about sponsorship is that you are tied to that company and they can decide to treat you anyhow. This can restrict your independence. Be a free man. Move if respect is no longer served on your table.

3. Try the above. I don't want you to give up easily and do menial jobs. Those things soak up the water in your life and you can get stuck there for years. Network, speak to people but never appear desperate. People can smell desperation. Don't immediately accept the first offer. TELL the person, thank you I'll think about it and get back to you. Don't put your hope on anybody because you will be disappointed. You never know who wants to help you. Just be good, focus on your road and see what direction you take your bus to. Avoid distractions, no be every passenger for bus stop driver de pick. Seek counsel and improve on your spirituality that will help you in bad times.

What Nigerians later saw was a Bond or a Loan from the Muslim backdoor - but with no Interest, but who Owns the Bond/ the Money?
The reason for suspecting the Modus operandi is that we all know how Nigeria was smuggled into Membership of OIC,( Organisation of Islamic Conferences) just because the former Heads of States then were Muslims and they think they can imposed anything on Nigeria, just as they imposed the 1979 Constitution by claiming ''We '' when it's not true!
•Nevertheless, the Sukuk Bond have been instrumental to various Roads Project including- Sagamu- Ikorodu ( although that road ought to have been completed ,but Federal Govt Monitoring group/ Supervisors are hardly seen there, only when the public complains),2nd Niger Bridge, some Lagos Roads, etc,as shared by other people in this Forum!

Their mama husband has just landed.

I'm never a fan of Wike because of his style of politics but in this fight I support wholeheartedly the members of the house loyal to him because they are truly loyal to the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria they vowed to protect.

Why will I support a man that bombed and demolished the state house?

Why will I support a man that present the state's budget to four people to pass in his bedroom?

Why will I support a man that bought a judgement from a court when another court has ruled on the same matter? (NJC, are you taking note)?

Why supporting a man that wants to Pocket the three arms of government in the state?

Remember the illegitimate speaker for the governor has been suspended long before they decamped in full house, how will a suspended member declare 28 members seats vacant?

Wike should please help the state fight against thuggery of the governor and the state capture moves he's embarking on.

I did not see enough good reasons to select Australia and Canada.

Are you single? Are you in a relationship? Have you lived anywhere outside Kaduna? What are your skills? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? As what?

Those 2 countries are so big, you can't just select them as if it's point and kill you are doing. Canada and Australia are at least x10 of Nigeria's size if not more so be careful of limitations. Australia is living in tomorrow and Canada is living in yesterday. Both are former British colonies so that could help a bit because you will see the colonial legacies of Nigeria in these countries. Can you stay alone? Are you an introvert? Can you do without friends? How iz your health like? Spirituality?

Love her with caution.

You can take her back but not immediately. Let time be the deciding factor so that she never tries it again. Be responsible to those kids because they are yours even if she's the most wicked person on earth. Don't waste your time trying to prove a point. Shower your kids with love and wait for her. She has to see you as a high value man and not a reject that she can move to whenever someone else dumps her. While you're showing love to YOUR kids, her sense will reset. Never love out of pity or you will regret it. You can still show her love without getting intimate. This is where you need to be a man because just as she wants you back what if the other man wants her back? That's why you need time. She just needs comfort right now but we need to be sure where her heart is, that's why you need time. She has 3 kids from 2 men, so the chances of meeting another man with baggage is low.
