It will be wrong to say that what Jesus paid was an illegal money. When did tax payment become an illegal payment? As God's only begotten son, Jesus was not under obligation to pay tax to mere mortals and their temporary governments. But in order not to stumble anyone, and to demonstrate his love for righteousness and obedience to law, he still paid that two drachma head tax. |

lekanwj: Nigerians are the most difficult to satisfy. Construction,of roads is going on yet they are complaining. We seems to forget where we are coming from. Lagos was a state noted for refuse everywhere n terrible roads. Remember NO PAIN NO GAIN. I understand the pains some Lagosians go through esp in area where roads are under construction. However, we must remain grateful that somebody is doing something at all. In my area around Ikeja, instead of dwelling on the pains, I imagine what my area will look like when the construction is over. I compare Medical Road of today Medical Road of yesterday, Oba Akran etc. And the standard of the roads is commendable - road dualization, gutters/drainages, street lights, pavements and walkways all at once! Kudos to BRF and his team. 1 Like |

At least the Naira is still better than the Zimbabwean Dollar. 1USD = Zim Dollars 5,000; bottle of coke = 0.5 Million Zim Dollars. In Mugabe's Zimbabwe, everyone is a millionaire. 1 Like |

This guy really knows what he is doing. Not all those yeye Nigerians that refuse to play for their fatherland. Imagine our coaches travelling every now and then without success to beg others to play for Nigeria. In the end those ones end up bigger losers because they never succeed in playing for the National Teams of the countries of their abode, they don't get to play in any World Cup/Nations Cup despite their club success and they never get benefits and satisfaction like Moses is getting. When their carreer is over and age is no longer on their side, they will return to the same Nigeria to become armchair analysts and game promoters like John Fashanu and his likes. |

iamswizz: To all those Sec.sch students or undergraduates... Pls go and acquire a skill ooo... This is the way to go. In as much as I am not going to say that additional education is bad, but as long as Nigeria of today is concerned, it is best to learn a vocation or skill that will automatically grant you entreprenual ability . For many, their degree certificates have become a curse instead of blessing. As it is, it has a sort of ego or pride attached to it making the graduate not to move forward. Get a job, you can't get; and yet you cannot stoop low to do things that non graduates do - a catch 22 situatiion. For those not yet in this dilema, my advice is, seek for a vocation you enjoy and train in it after your basic or tehnical education. For those that insist on supplementary education, choose a course that will bestow capacity for self development even as a student, eg Architecture, Fine Art, Surveying and Geodesy, Law, Medicine, Accountancy just to mention a few. For those who have "wasted" many years and resources in obtaining supplementary education, and have even become a burden to their parents by spending many more years as job seekers, nothing can be more humiliating and frustrating. Yet, it is never too late to restrategize. Change your outlook and life course and do something for yourself. For all those who believe that any government will look out for their interest, I wish them goodluck. Protests marches and demonstrations, don't work. Because the Law (Governments) is an ass, permanently deaf. My opinion anyway. 1 Like |

How about that music video by Tunde Ednut in which he tried to imitate Lil Wayne by singing from inside a bath, covered with water while on suit but in the desert. So useless! Not to forget May D and his monkey videos. |

booqee: GOD forgive me but some of these Jehovah witness can really get on ur nerves. Thank God they escaped it tho Why are you asking God to forgive you? Could it be that you are so wrong. Do you know what it really means to be a Christian? Do you know the work of a Christian? Anyway, I think God will forgive you. 2 Likes |

edge2: Don't blame the man, witnesses can be so parasitic See this one! Does he even know the meaning of the word 'parasite'? Does any Jehovah's Witness live off you? If none of them feeds on or from you, then you don't seem to know what you saying. Think before commenting. 1 Like |

Mekanus: If i had a 'gun' i would have done so to most of these religitads in naija. I wonder if to accept this their so called christ na by force Making disciples as Jesus instructed is never by force but by persuasion. Abi has any Witness of Jehovah ever pulled a gun at you to follow Jesus? If they have never forced you, why are you making fuss out of nothing? 1 Like |

Lilimax: There is nothing wrong in calling God Jehova. It is one his numerous name. Yes you do. That's exactly how some people felt about Jesus and his disciples in the first century. Acts 28:21,22 says, They said to him: “Neither have we received letters concerning you from Ju·de′a, nor has anyone of the brothers that has arrived reported or spoken anything wicked about you. But we think it proper to hear from you what your thoughts are, for truly as regards this sect it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.” So they brought them and stood them in the San′he·drin hall. And the high priest questioned them and said: “We positively ordered YOU not to keep teaching upon the basis of this name, and yet, look! YOU have filled Jerusalem with YOUR teaching, and YOU are determined to bring the blood of this man upon us.” In answer Peter and the [other] apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men. The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom YOU slew, hanging him upon a stake. God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these matters, and so is the holy spirit, which God has given to those obeying him as ruler.” When they heard this, they felt deeply cut and were wanting to do away with them. But a certain man rose in the San′he·drin, a Pharisee named Ga·ma′li·el, a Law teacher esteemed by all the people, and gave the command to put the men outside for a little while. And he said to them: “Men of Israel, pay attention to yourselves as to what YOU intend to do respecting these men. For instance, before these days Theu′das rose, saying he himself was somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined his party. But he was done away with, and all those who were obeying him were dispersed and came to nothing. After him Judas the Gal·i·le′an rose in the days of the registration, and he drew off people after him. And yet that man perished, and all those who were obeying him were scattered abroad. And so, under the present circumstances, I say to YOU, Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them ![]() 3 Likes |

shevi4mb: Jehova witness will locate you, even if you'r living in the thickest mangroove forest...ℓ☺ℓ You sound like your father. Don't guess for too long, just check your Bible at John 8:44 -47 "YOU are from YOUR father the Devil, and YOU wish to do the desires of YOUR father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of [the lie]. Because I, on the other hand, tell the truth, YOU do not believe me. Who of YOU convicts me of sin? If I speak truth, why is it YOU do not believe me? He that is from God listens to the sayings of God. This is why YOU do not listen, because YOU are not from God.” The children of God and the children of the Devil are evident by this fact: Everyone who does not carry on righteousness does not originate with God, neither does he who does not love his brother. For this is the message which YOU have heard from [the] beginning, that we should have love for one another; not like Cain, who originated with the wicked one and slaughtered his brother. And for the sake of what did he slaughter him? Because his own works were wicked, but those of his brother [were] righteous. 1 Jn 3:10-12 Jehovah's Witnesses come to you against all odds because of the love they have for you. The earlier you know this the better for you. 1 Like |

Hezron Lorraine: You've been unbanned.congrats. Honestly, you don't speak like someone who "has met Christ". You know what Jesus said his food is? Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, saying: “Rabbi, eat.” But he said to them: “I have food to eat of which YOU do not know.” Therefore the disciples began saying to one another: “No one has brought him anything to eat, has he?” Jesus said to them: “My food is for me to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work. Jn. 4:31-34. If you have "met Christ', you will be happy to listen to the Great Teacher always. Not only that, you will move on to Christian maturity. And most important, you will be anointed with holy spirit to do the work Jesus did - preaching the good news about God's kingdom. "YOU will receive power when the holy spirit arrives upon YOU, and YOU will be witnesses of me (Jesus) both in Jerusalem and in all Ju·de′a and Sa·mar′i·a and to the most distant part of the earth (including your little street)". crackhaus: Witnesses always think they have a right to walk up to your door without an invitation, then they make you feel guilty for turning them away. You quite wrong there. Not a few students will attest to the various benefits they have got from the Magazines given out by the Witnesses, especially, the Awake magazine. All sorts of subjects that assist students and others in their research work can be found there. The Witnesses give out these specially prepared publications without any charge. It is only those who are appreciative of the Worldwide Work carried out by the Witnesses that make voluntary contributions, which could be any amount the person chooses (from N1 and above). The Witnesses will also leave their magazines for those who REALLY wish to read them. As at now, you can read the magazines online from your phone. 1 Like |

prince_onx: Just slot in some porn movie and increase the volume very loud! How come a decent "Christian" like you will slot in an indecent movie just because you do not wish to listen to the good news of something better. Just as Jesus said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing". If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. For we are preaching, not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as YOUR slaves for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God is he who said: “Let the light shine out of darkness,” and he has shone on our hearts to illuminate [them] with the glorious knowledge of God by the face of Christ. 2 cor 4:4-6 3 Likes |

50calibre: I am not very sure you believe what the Bible says. From your comment you don't even seem to understand which bible book is which. But if you are patient and humble, just ask them to show you what they are saying FROM YOUR OWN BIBLE since they have "a kind of bible". Not believing the bible is one thing, and not believing it because it is preached by Jehovah's Witnesses is quite another. For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.” 2 Pet 3:3,4 |

Danhumprey: LMAO @ "get lost" and "get me my 9". Some Jehovah Witnesses tend to believe that they must preach to somebody,no matter what. They can be so irritating at times. For the Scripture says: “None that rests his faith on him will be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Rom 10: 11-15 But in reply he (Jesus) said: “I tell YOU, If these (Jehovah's Witnesses) remained silent, the stones would cry out. Luke 19:40 And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” Mt 28:19,20 3 Likes |

otokx: Why don't they use the roads? Trust the politicians. While ruling us they fly. After their tenure they continue to fly. When they die, they still fly; even if the journey is just 5 km. No wonder they leave the roads unattended because whether in life or in death, they will never pass there. Sometimes I pity them. Look at it now, some family members, friends and well wishers will have to die for escorting "an important corpse". Too bad. |

A 300-level female undergraduate in one of the universities in Lagos yesterday breathed an air of freedom when she was rescued by security operatives in Ogun State after being held by her abductors for three years. In a scenario reminiscent of the Ariel Castro case in USA, where three women were held captive for several years, the victim got impregnated by her captors and now has a baby. Police operatives stormed the house belonging to the parents of one of the kidnappers and freed the victim. Details are still unfolding. Culled from Channels TV. |

Na waah for, Christendom people! So so theology and little christianity. Plenty plenty dogma but little gospel. In the words of Jesus at Mt. 23:1-39 these are all "blind guides", "pharisees", "hypocrites", "over- sabi scribes" who scrupulously concentrate on irrelevancies while neglecting the more important matters. How do I enter this argument |

These youths would have done better without uniform which will set them up as "sitting ducks" and easy targets of the Boko boys. Without uniform, they will be invincible and will easily report the activities of the terrorists. I fear for their lives now. 1 Like |
