plasmadocument: I have not been able to recover since i heard this. Don't really know how to take it or what it actually means. One would imagine that somebody at that level would be above 'dropping' or rather 'falling'. I believe the Spirit of God is in SCOAN and i at times envy the Wise Men that they really have what everybody else is looking for, to constantly be in the presence of God, as they work, eat and sleep in the church. How can he fall? What about those of us that are looking upto him to grow? God please come to his aid. Restore him, fortify him and put him back. We will be praying for him. Eeeyaah! Sorry abeg no cry too much for another imperfect man |

ojoyentalk: "And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. " (Matthew 5:29). So what shall we say to those that commit the despicable sin of gluttony (Prov. 23:20; Mt 11: 19; Titus 1:12)? That they should stop eating food lest they go to hell? Guy, can you see how solid spiritual food can only be assimilated by adults, not babes (Hebr 5:12-14)? |

coogar: Yeah, some Nigerians are daft and others are very unreasonable. By dumping those people by Onitsha headbridge in the dead of the night, they have really been united with their families! If the Fashola government is sincere on this issue, it should have traced those families and handed them over; probably with photos to show the "humanitarian deed". |

Politics / Re: Documents Show Lagos Informed Anambra Government Before Alleged Deportation by patostation(m): 6:30pm On Aug 02, 2013 |
The way Nigerians are relating to this issue baffles me. Whether BRF wrote Obi or not, I still feel it is improper for any state to deport any Nigerian citizen to anywhere. If a governor finds destitutes in his state, he has to put them where destitutes are kept, not minding their state of origin. Any state that arrests criminals should prosecute them in the courts. You don't need to dump anyone for anybody. Nigeria can never be a united country as long as people are seen as visitors and strangers in their own country. Even other countries provide for Nigerians. If there is no ethnic malice involved, I am waiting to see Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun destitutes sent back "home to unite with their kits and kin". Who is even a Lagosian? Most of the persons now claiming to originate from Lagos are in actual fact from neighbouring states if you trace their roots. It may look convenient to take this kind of action but people should remember that noone knows what tomorrow will bring. 2 Likes |

But times shall come when calamitious days arrive, when sickness and death calls, when hardship and perils draw near, when plans, expectations and projections faulter; then you will start to hear "God please", "Oh Lord help us", "God please don't let me die", "God I will buy you a car if you let my brother/sister/mother/father/son live" God's Word puts it this way: "The senseless one has said in his heart (and even on Nairaland), there is no God" Ps 10:4-6; Ps 14:1; Ps 53:1; 1Cor 1:18-21; Pharaoh said the same thing and later regretted it (Exod 5:2; 9:14-16,27) Nebuchadnezzar too and many others who failed to acknowledge God later regretted. Religion / Re: Hell, Can Go To Hell - The Conclusion ? by patostation(m): 3:52pm On Jul 14, 2013 |
DrummaBoy: Frosbel The place you mentionted is Mt. 10:28 and the original word used is Gehenna not hell. Gehenna is nothing but a refuse dump used as a symbol of total destruction by Jesus. If you can compare different translations of the Bible, you will discover the words "hell", "world of the dead", "hades" and "sheohl" used interchangeably. Since you wish to read other scriptures, check out these: Rev 20:13-15 says that hells freed those in it and that hell itself was thrown into the lake of fire. Not only that, lake of fire is said to be the SECOND DEATH. Acts 2:31,32, Jesus was said to have gone to hell, that his body was not allowed to rotten in "hell", but that he was resurrected by God. Compare Hos 13:14 Jerem 7:31; 19:5 and 32:35. God was incenced that ancient Israelites were burning people in fire. If God was angered by this action, why would he turn back and start burning sinners in Dante's inferno EVERLASTINGLY? Lk 16:19-31 Regarding the rich man and Lazarus. Should we take this parable of our Lord Jesus literally? Should we take other illustrations of Jesus literally? Can all those who expect everlasting life all fit into Abraham's bosom? Will a drop of water be able to quench the taste of someone burning in hellfire? What can one estimate to be the distance between heaven and hell that messages can be passed from one to the other? What was the sin of the "rich man" and what was the righteousness of the "poor man"? Was Jesus not illustrating the change in circumstances between the self-righteous Pharisees and the common Jews who accepted the gospel? Job 14:13-15 (Catholic Dy version). Why did righteous man Job pray for God to preserve him in hell and later "call" (resurrect) him? What will be the place of resurrection, a pivotal teaching in Christianity, in all these hellfire torment teachings? (1Cor 15,16) |

Timijo: I am not disputing the fact that the posters are funny. But why are you making mockery of it? Is this how to encourage people to accept JESUS CHRIST? And you are also a christian. You will never see the people from the other religion making mockery of their faith, but we christian are fond of that. Is this how to preach the true gospel? Why won't somebody make mockery of those religious comedians? Are the promoters of such comedy not making mockery of Christianity? By the way how can you prove that they are Christians? Which "gospel" do you believe those jokers are preaching except gospel of the belly. Nonsense! 1 Like |
