The moment you enter into a marriage, whether you were deceived or not, you can not leave such a union except the partner dies or engages in adultery. Even adultery is a last option cos you are bound to forgive the person. You can only divorce if you can't stand it. In that case, you are never to remarry. If you remarry, then you have committed adultery in the eyes of God. All other situation like domestic violence etc are no grounds for divorce, speaking from a Christian perspective. If you are not a Christian, you can disregard it all but don't stand here claiming to be a Christian while you twist the clear doctrines of the Bible.

Some will argue "do you want a woman to die due to domestic violence before you prescribe divorce?". The Bible is clear, adultery is the only reason one can leave a marriage. If you say one should leave due to domestic violence, then one can also leave due to a simple lie or poverty or any silly reason that soothes one's selfishness.

In the case of being decieved into marriage where a partner later discovers the other kept somethings hidden, you still have to remain in the union. Pray to God to help you solve the problem and not lean on your own understanding. Leaving such a marriage is breaking the covenant and also exposing yourself to committing adultery. Hod will never support any other marriage you get involved in. Leaving the union means you don't believe God can help solve the problem. This means you don't want to have anything to do with God again. Can you now see why God will not involve in any other marriage you put yourself in?

I am here to correct an error made by one Pastor Suleman Johnson. I watched one of the videos where he spoke on divorce. He actually encouraged divorce and I cried in my heart.

I was so shocked when I watched the video. The most annoying part of it is the fact that he used the law court to support his teaching. In Christianity, it is very wrong to use the law as your basis of teaching. In Christianity, we use the Holy Bible as our basis of authority. So let us go to the Bible and correct the wrong teaching.

What has the Bible got to say concerning divorce? The first thing I would like you to know about marriage is that marriage is a covenant, a covenant between a man and his wife, and God confirms it. What I have just said now, can it be found in the Bible? Yes! In the book of Malachi 2:14, the Bible says that marriage is a covenant between you and the wife of your youth. And the Bible also says in that verse that the God is a witness in the covenant. In other words, when a man gets married, he has entered into a covenant with his wife and in that covenant, God is a witness. God confirms the covenant.

The next question is: Can a lie before a marriage dissolve the marriage covenant? The answer is no. The moment a person enters into a covenant, nothing can dissolve it. A covenant simply means an agreement. Once you enter into an agreement with someone and another person signs as a witness, then nothing can dissolve that covenant. So what I have just said, can it be found in the Bible? Yes!

In the book of Galatians 3:15, the Bible says, though it be but a man’s covenant yet if it be entered into and is confirmed, it can no longer be disannulled. The moment you enter into a covenant, it can no longer be dissolved. That is the simple truth.

The next question I would like to answer is this: is there any one that was deceived into marriage in the Bible? Let’s find out if someone like that exists and let’s find out whether the marriage was dissolved after the deceit or the marriage stayed. Somebody like that exists and his name was Jacob. Jacob was deceived into marrying Leah. He didn’t want to marry Leah. He hated Leah. He loved Rachael. He thought he was getting married to Rachael. He did not know it was Leah because Leah’s face was covered. In the morning, he realized it was Leah he got married to and there was nothing he could do about it because he was already married. He had already entered into the covenant, so he couldn’t do anything about it and the marriage stayed. It is very clear. In Christianity, we do not support people to divorce because the woman does not have a womb or because the man is impotent. That is very wrong. Rather than teaching them to divorce, it is better you pray for them. You should pray for the woman to have a new womb. You should pray for the impotent man to impregnate his wife. God is still in the business of performing miracles. He has not stopped performing miracles. Rather than asking people to divorce, pray for them and they will have their desired miracles. That is what Christianity is all about, especially if you are a man of God. You should pray for people to have their desired miracles rather than teaching them to divorce.

Do you know the extent of damage this wrong teaching has done to the kingdom, in the Christian community? Do you know how many people are planning to divorce now because of this wrong teaching?

I would like to state here that this is not a personal spite against Pastor Suleman Johnson. No! It is not at all. I don’t even know him personally. All I am doing is to correct the wrong teaching so that people are not led astray.

So why am I correcting it? Because it is a mandate from God. The next question is: Is this mandate in the Bible? Yes! It can be found in Book of 2 Timothy 4:2. In that scripture, the Bible says rebuke and correct wrong doctrines and that is exactly what I am doing. I also want to use this opportunity to sound a note of warning to others. Make sure you have understood it before going into marriage. Don’t just go into marriage if you are not sure. But if you are sure, then go ahead and get married understanding that you are not going to divorce your spouse.

And if you are married, please do not divorce your spouse because your spouse is impotent or because your spouse does not have a womb. God can give your wife a new womb. God can heal your husband if your husband is impotent. There are so many impotent people who have impregnated their wife. There are so many women who do not have womb but today God gave them new womb and they have children. There are so many like that.

Divorce is never the solution. Please don’t divorce your spouse. If Jacob was deceived into marrying Leah and that marriage stayed. The marriage was not dissolved because Jacob had already entered into the covenant. If you are already married, do not divorce your spouse. Look for solution to your problem. God will help you. Our God is a God of miracle. He will intervene and help you in the name of Jesus Christ. Don’t forget what Jesus said. He said for this reason shall a man leave his father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they two shall be one flesh. And he said, wherefore they are no longer two but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man put asunder?

Op, pastor Chris saying that covenants cannot be broken is not correct.
It is only primitive world and people of some kind of traditional settings (like the Jewish culture of bible days) who lacks education thinks that covenants cannot be broken. Not this modern day were there is knowedge and understanding.
Even God set up the old covenant with Abraham and broke it, and Jesus came up with the new covenant.
So,nothing cannot be broken.
There is no problem that does not have solution.
I am not supporting divorce either, if pastor Suleman is supporting it, that is his own cup of tea.
But the reality remains that, if two people who got married suddenly realizes that they are not compatible anymore and their union is threating the life and happiness of one party (such as the man turning the woman to a punch bag or domestic violence and the woman is saying i don't want to take it any longer). Then, religion or churches should shield their fallacious teachings.
Seperate the two of them let there be happiness and protection of the life of the woman.
If the man has come back to his senses and the woman feels she is secured to stay with him once more, then they should be encouraged to reunite again.
Marriage should not be seen as a mere covenant that binds people into boundage it should be seen as agreement between two people who WANT to live happily together.
That means both of them should be committed to each other or...

1 Thessalonians 4:16, Matthew 24:30-32 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 .

2.End time doctrine : This is another error of the ancient catholic church which states that this world will eventually come to an end, meanwhile Jesus in his parables says God's kingdom(christianity in this world) has no end(which equally to say this world has no end because Christianity is now in this world).
This endtime doctrine makes christians behave carelessly towards solving their immediate problems and taking the bold responsibility of developing themselves and their understanding capacity by going to school and creating positive impact to this world(thinking that what's the need? Afterall everything including the clouds will dissolved one day) As a result, they are into all sort of spiritual beliefs that witchcraft, juju, satan, etc are the ones responsible for their problems. So they go to church for prayers everyday and night instead of enrolling into school, but of no Vail. The next thing, they will say God is not answering their prayer.

3. Tithe and offering : This is a clear case of financial distortion and i wount say much about it. All i will say is that, if a Christian gives THE CHURCH (not church building) it right definition of holy spirit in humans, and he is conscious that his body is God's temple where he dwells, there will be no need for him to go into church buildings searching for God anymore ,where he will be scammed and distorted financially.

If opportunity presents itself I'll travel out to enjoy true fellowship with a lot of true Christians. I hardly see a Nigerian Christian.

This time we are trading our senses in exchange for self actualization and justification for believing in pastors and church.
People are still so primitive that, they can say all sort of mumu talk to justify their believe in oyedepo, adeboye, oyaks, kumuyi etc

you spoke my mind Bro. come to think of it, all men of God in Nigeria has got a share in one railing accusation or more, from infidelity, to love of money and political flaws.
But in in all their churches grow like wide fire. go there on Sunday, you wont even know if any thing was said, e.g Christ embassy, Winners.......etc

LESSON: Understand that at the finality there is neither male nor female, every one will give account to God all by himself. so when you hear stuff, your attitude as a believer is to pray in love for God to turn things around for his glory, instead of been negative because its not you local assembly or to score chip point. Secondly, you are to pick the word of God , follow precept by precept , understand it for your self, walk in love and faith knowing that we will all give account of our works on earth to God while pastors will do same. so no time to find fault or talk negatively. remember Jesus attitude to those that brought the woman caught in adultery, it was that of you all have one sin or the other that you struggle with, if you are without sin, cast the first stone. so knowing that Christianity is a personal race is the beginning of wisdom.

If you had actually followed the word of God precept by precept you won't be talking like this.
Jesus Christ criticized the Pharisees yes or no?
Was that negative talk?
What is wrong is wrong let's call a spade a spade, leave religious or church sentiment aside.
If the number of people in these churches are growing obviously, non of them have ever sit down to read their bible precept by precept.
It shows that we are still lagging behind in terms of access to quality education as a nation.
Travel abroad and see how they practice their Christianity you will know that it is not what we do here .
If people are critizing, certainly, we are moving at the right direction.
I keep saying one thing. If what these pastors are doing to Nigerians are good. For sure, nobody will critize again.
Everybody will keep quiet, both well wishers and non well wishers of these pastors.
Remember, when people were critizing Jesus he replied them such that no one could critize him or asked him any questions again.
These pastors are not enjoying the criticism it do not speak well of their reputation.
They know it
But they cannot help it because they are equally confused too unlike Jesus.
They don't know what to say, hence they remain silent and continue.
BUT SURELY, THINGS WILL NOT REMAIN LIKE THIS. A TIME WILL COME EVERYONE WILL COME IN TERMS OF THE TRUTH, THEN NOTHING WILL BE HIDDEN UNDER THE SUN AGAIN

Have u ever pondered 4 a while, y these pastors are not disturbed despite d heavy criticisms they receive? Why they keep ignoring despite d strong oppositions from some high profile icons like freeze and his likes? Or why there ministry keep progressing and why there members keep increasing despite d numerous bashing from social media?
Well its obvious someone is "kicking against the Stone". Alright for some seconds try to imagine a child kicking hard against a rock with his bare foot, who's gonna get hurt? The child of cos! Unfortunately, that's exactly what u do when u try 2 fight d church of God and its delegated leaders. I call it a "silent victory" cos looking at it from a normal view, the critics seems 2 b on d winning side, but on a closer look d church keeps expanding and progressing lol. When u are against anointed men of God, believe me u are against God himself, it doesn't matter if u are Christian or not. So d choice is urs friends, will u keep on kicking against d stone or will u join d winning side?
If a word is enough 4 d wise, imagine what a write up will mean to the wise. Be wise, be warned.

What you fail to understand is that criticizing people like oyedepo is not a competition so there is nothing like winners or loosers there.
What is bad is bad ,and what is good is good.
If people have discovered that tithing and distortion of church members is bad and they criticize, then there is no amount of ignorant following of the pastor who is doing the distortion by the same church members who are distorted, will make the distortion a good thing .
If God is keeping quiet does not mean that he is a fool. He want us to identity the problem and solve it ourselves.
The good news is that more people are becoming aware of the activities of these pastors.
People will not change the way they see these pastors suddenly, it will take a gradual process.
Perhaps 100 years or 200 years from now.
The generation of our unborn children will not be interested in religion any longer such that, they will never adore these pastors and their churches the way our current religious minded church going generation is doing now.

This is a question I have been asking myself for a very long time and yet I have failed to really find an answer to it. so I ask you who really knows this God and who reads his book, DOES GOD REALLY ANSWER PRAYERS? if Yes, How Does one pray to him for him to really answer. Countless Times have I prayed and it just seems they fall on deaf ears.

I want to know the secret if there's any

If you keep following what they teach in chuches you will keep failing.
The truth is, God has answered all our prays in advance.
He has provided all that we needed to enjoy this life. The air we breath, the rainfall, the sunlight, the trees and animals,Everything !!!
As if that is not enough he let go his only begotten son so that we will continue to live eternally when death threatened the existence of mankind on earth.
So what else do we want?
I think our prayer points has always been the problem.
We are so greedy, we want God to do everything for us.
We want him to give us money, car, house, good life ,kill our enemies, die by fire, by thunder etc without working for them.
That kinda prayer points will surely fail us.
If you want your enemy to die why waiting for God?
why not identify the enemy and go stab him to death?
If you want money why not learn how to make money and work for it.
I think a lot of christians who think God has not answered their prayer are the ones who failled to go to school or complete their education.
When they see one rich business man in church giving testimony of how God fought his battle, the man will never mentioned in the testimony that at a point he went to school or learn business.
So he gives you the impression that because he was committed to church and prayer that's how he is rich.

Does the bible allow Christians to take food from other religions and eat?

The way people think and behave in bible days is quite different from how we think and behave today.
We are more enlightened and flexible in our thinking.
in bible days when a Jew is seen eatting among gentiles they conclude that he is worshiping their idol, that because the food was dedicated to their idol therefore the Jew has automatically gone into idol worshiping for eating idol food.
Why was it that way?
Because, truly there were Jews in the past who deviated from worshiping God in their heart, whose heart were alured into idol worshipping, eating among idol worshippers. So God have to put the law among the Jews, that eatting among gentiles was prohibited.
Not because of the food, but because their heart were already allured.
Today we have better understanding.
The bible says guide your heart with all deligence. Implies that we should hold our faith in Christ no matter what.
Therefore as a Christian, i can freely eat food dedicated to Islam among some of my Muslim friends in their mosque, so long I'm not allured or been converted into Islam.

I am thinking of doing a 3-days dry fasting towards deliverance due to some dreams I had, and things that are happening, and the interpretations people gave to it, I was directed to a church for it, well, you know. But I'm thinking how can I do this 3-days dry fasting now, the last time I did one day dry fasting, I wasn't myself, my stomach move to my chest, I couldnt close my eyes to sleep and I was very weak, I broke that fast at 3am the next day because I couldn't sleep, I could not even close my eyes, I was not just myself, it was as if I wasn't even walking on the ground. And now 3-days dry, how can I do it, is there any other means to go about it, i dont want to get myself into trouble o.

It is normal to have bad dreams and challenges in life, even your deliverance pastors all have bad dreams and challenges too.
So, nothing is wrong with you.

TOPIC: WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE?

MEMORY VERSE: "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." - 2Corinthians 5:1

BIBLE PASSAGE: Revelations 21:1-8

INTRODUCTION:
God created the Heaven and the earth in the beginning (Genesis 1:1). According to the Jewish notion, there are three heavens (2Corinthians 12:2). The first heaven is the air or atmosphere, where clouds gather and birds fly (Genesis 2:19; Lamentation 4:19). The second is the firmament, in which the sun, moon and stars are fixed (Jeremiah 8:2; Matthew 24:29). The third Heaven is the "The heaven of heavens" (Deuteronomy 10:14), the home or throne of God and His angels, the invisible realm of holiness and happiness; the home of the children of God. Heaven is eternal (2Corinthians 5:1) and it is a prepared place for a prepared people (John 14:2).

WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE?
Heaven is a building of God and not man-made (2Corinthians 5:1). It is also called the kingdom of God and of Christ (Ephesians 5:5). Surely, it is the Father's House (John 14:2). It is a place of rest (Hebrews 4:9). Heaven cannot be measured (Jeremiah 31:37). Heaven is a high place (Isaiah 57:15), a holy place (Psalm 20:6), a happy place (Revelations 7:17), a place without death, tears, sorrow, crying or pain (Revelations 21:4). Heaven is a place without night or darkness (Revelations 22:3-5), a place without hunger, thirst or excessive heat or cold (Revelations 7:16). Heaven is a place of perfect satisfaction (Revelations 22:1-2). It is also a place of perfect righteousness (Revelations 22:3), a place of perfect government, ruled by God, the just One and the Lamb. It is a place of perfect communion (Revelations 22:4), where we shall behold His face and His Name shall be on our foreheads. Heaven is a place of perfect glory (Revelations 22:5).

WHO ARE THE INHABITANTS OF HEAVEN?
Let us start listing those who can NEVER be there.
1. The devil and the fallen angels will never enter there (Revelations 20:10; Jude 6).
2. The unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9-10), thieves (Luke 12:33), liars, whoremongers and the fearful will not enter (Revelations 21: and anyone in whose life is found the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).
3. Careless Christians and everyone whose name is not found in the book of life (Matthew 25:24-30; Revelations 20:15).
The following are already there:
1. God the Father (Matthew 6:9), Jesus Christ our Lord (Acts 3:20-21) and holy angels (Matthew 18:10).
2. Enoch, Elijah, Moses and Abraham (Genesis 5:24; Matthew 17:3; Luke 16:23).
3. The Saints of old, all those who have died trusting in Jesus (1Thessalonians 4:14).

CONCLUSION
Heaven is the holy abode of holy God. Only holy people will get there (Hebrews 12:14). Do you want to go to Heaven? Live holy.

QUESTIONS:
1. What type of place is Heaven?
2. Who will not get there?

I think this heaven message or God's kingdom is the reason why we are Christians and we go to church.
But unfortunately, this article of open heaven has failed to address or provide complete answers to the questions
1. what type of place is heaven?
2. Who will not get there? (Who are those that are already there)
So,millions of redeem members today in church(same with all other churches who have thought about heaven or God's kingdom) will never never get complete answers to these sensitive and most important questions which will otherwise set them free from the grip of religion. hence, life continue to remain the same, they keep doing the same thing over and over again, without any vision to change and move forward in their Christian race .
And at large, Nigeria will continue to remain the way it is or even get worst.
If we as Christians can arive at the complete answers to those questions above, then we can start asking ourselves, what should be our first priority as Christians on earth?
Is our first priority to make heaven or God's kingdom?
If that is our first priority why then did Jesus came to die in the first place?
What happens to his creation when we all finally go?
The current state of Nigeria who is going to clean it up?
Muslims?
We just have to sit down and think because God is waiting for us to start developing sense.
Not just going to church every sundays
