You use RED WINE for Sangria and not Pinot Grigio, which is white. I stand to be corrected.

Mstravelindiva:

Great question! No, actually none of my drinks contained high sugar levels. For example, the Bloody Mary is made with tomato juice, vodka, hot saRuce and other herbs and spices. This Sangria was Pinot Grigio wine muddled with fresh fruit. The older I have gotten the more sensitive my system is to sugary drinks (this is one of the reasons why I stopped drinking soda pop 8 years ago). I like my drinks/cocktails strong with minimal sweetness to balance out the palate.

Career / Re: COVID-19: Last Minute Rush As FG Set To Bar Unvaccinated Workers Tomorrow by PBundles(m): 2:31pm On Nov 30, 2021
Fellow NLs, this is my take on this situation.

Im based in Europe, my partner is in the medical field and this is my take based on my partners experience and following this situation sine the start.

1
COVID is real. Its not a farce. Initially ppl were indeed terrified but we are slowly getting to understand it.

2
In general its a severe flu and nothing more. Those in high risk categories are the ones that need to be careful. Namely :
Obese ( why its hammering certain countries more ie US and why many socalled big men and women in Nigeria will have an issue)
Diabetics
Above 60+
Coronory ailments
If you are sick at the time of infection ( ie malaria in nigeria)
The more of these groups you belong to, the more risky

3
If you dont belong to the risk groups and are healthy you should be fine.

4
Supplements do help for sure. They have found that zink and Vit D are key. The latter could explain why Africans have been spared due to our vitamine D uptake from the sun. Note that now its winter over here and during the day we may not even see 1-2 hours of sun and when its out we are indoors. This could explain why Europeans and Americans are being hit hard and Africa less.

5
Ivermectin (MECTIZAN) has been shown to help. When infected one should take 12 grams once a day for minium of 5 days or until you recover. Get this at a good chemist. This wont cost you more than NGN 10k max. Interestingly this drug is being silenced as it cost a couple of dollars to buy and is no longer under patent so Pharma is unble to make money from it. Could this be the reason? Your guess is as good as mine. The head of Japans Medical association refused to listen to mainstream and requested that any patient can use it, since then cases have declined.

6
In all likelihood this virus was caused by a lab leak which was being sponsored by Dr Faucci working with the Chinese. In fact the virus study they were carrying out was banned during Obama as they were reviewing it. Unknown to Trump, Faucci and his ppl continued, when Trump found out is when Dr Faucci fell out of favor. Its now become politics as many know that he has questions to answer but as he is being protected by his party, Democrats, they will not call him to order or answer questions. Sadly this thing has become very political and no longer about ppl.

7
The mRNA vaccines are highly questionable and should be taken at your own risk. These have not been used before and Pfyzer and Morderna are the ones producing it. Its been shown to have adverse issues for young ppl ( under 30) especially men having heart issues. In the event you want to get vaccinated, I would advise you take a VECTOR vaccine which are the vaccines we took as children. These work differently then mRNA. There is one called Novavax that is coming out and seems to be good. Due your own research.

8
The mRNA vaccines have not worked as envisaged. Initially they said if you are vaccinated you wont go to the hospital, chances of dying is almost zero and you cant transmit. These claims are slowly being disputed. You can get severly sick and die. In fact they are noticing that ppl with the risks I mentioned earlier are the ones in the hospital. The big issue is transmission as they have now discovered that vaccinated ppl can transmit the virus just as easy as unvaccinated. Furthermore and more important as these are new, no one knows what the effects will be in 5 year +. And these Pharma companies have included clauses in their contracts that will not enable anyone to claim for damages.

9
The reason why point 8 is not being spread is because Big Pharma has lobbyed extensively and has many governments in their pockets. They have even the media outlets. There was a time anything negative concerning the vaccine, like comments on YT, Twitter was taken down or blocked. Phyzer is working with BioTech a german company and this will provide a huge windfall not only for Phyzer but for the German government. Mordena is working with Fuacci's NIH ( they co own the patent), Its estimated that both companies will earn $50-80 billion this year as well as 2022-2023 and many countries have signed contracts.

10
Pfyzer has a bad name for being corrupt and was handed one of the largest lawsuits in the USA. They were fined $ 2.7 bln and the Attorney General said back then he had never seen such a corrupt and notorious company in his life. Phyzer was bribing doctors and health offcials.

11
Nigeria also has a bad history with them. in 1996 meningitis outbreak in Nigeria, Pfizer saw a chance for a big score – to test its ‘broad-spectrum’ antibiotic called Trovan in children. The drug had not yet been approved in the United States, where parents were not willing to put their children up as ‘guinea pigs.’ Forecasts by Wall Street analysts asserted that the drug company could reap $1 billion a year if Trovan, as it was known, won approval for all its potential uses. It was a potential blockbuster, and Pfizer was eerily impatient.

Read up on this on the internet and see how they used our kids as test and withheld this information. Worst of all when they were caught they used a private investigator to dig up dirt on our former Attorney General Michael Aondoakaa and when they found dirt on him were able to pressure him and reduce the initial claim of $6 bln to a measly $75 mln. The payments were made as of 2011 and have yet to be fully settled by the way.

12
Some experts have said that natural immunity is probably the best way to go. They have found that those that have had it and recovered have built natuaral immunity. They have even seen that those that caught it, recovered and still got vaccinated caught the virus. Whereas those that had it naturally dont seem to catch it again.

Strangley enough many governments are not focusssing on this and my guess is simply $$$, the Pharma lobby is working.

13
I also dont think vaccines should be made mandatory, especially if you dont fall within the risk group. If you do, I would indeed suggest its appropriate.

My ppl do what you will with the above. I wanted to edcuate you on my findings and share my experience. Do indeed check and investigate what Ive written and do your diligent research. Be diligent in terms of hygene.

Stay safe and remain blessed my people.

Health / Re: My Sister's Foot And Toe Are Causing Her A Lot Of Pain (Pictures) by PBundles(m): 9:57pm On Aug 10, 2020
Hi,

This may be gout. This is caused by excessiv uric acid in your blood. Its a kind of arthritis. The excessive uric acid in your blood forms sharp crystals in one of your joints, can be the toe and is very painfull indeed.

Most gout cases happen in big toes. It usually affects only one joint at a time. But without treatment, you might end up with it in your knee, ankle, foot, hand, wrist, or elbow. Flare-ups can last up to 10 days. They hurt the most during the first 36 hours

Until your appointment, you can ice and elevate the joint, and take anti-inflammatory drugs such as naproxen and ibuprofen. Drink plenty of fluids, especially water. Stay away from alcohol or sweet drinks.

Ensure to go to a doctor asap.

Wish she gets better.

I feel you, well said. It has been hijacked by the thing that hijack most innocent things in life: MONEY. FIFA, UEFA only cares about one thing MONEY and thats what drives their decisions and everything else.

Drienzia:
Gone are the days when football used to be so great with much more talented players like Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Rivaldo, Beckham, Ronaldinho, Nesta etc. when the Balon’dor was strictly on merit and not politically motivated. Till today I wonder why Sneijder/Iniesta didn’t win the FIFA world Best in 2010 and how Robben/Ribery didn’t win it in 2013. How on Earth Madrid were pardon to go to the transfer market for two transfer windows before starting their transfer Ban and why same treatment wasn’t given to Chelsea after several Appeal? The 2002 World Cup, the 2006 World Cup, the joy it brings and how unique it was can’t be over emphasized. Now the transfer market have been inflated and clubs now buy mediocre players at an outrageous amount. Currently Only few players are loyal to their team. Where is the beauty of the round leather game ?.

For the record let me say that the act he is being charged for is truly discpicable, but my ppl, dont be so quick to judge. The title is also wrong as it should state Police Arrest suspect. No matter what or how, a trial should be held. This is how my friends acquantaince was killed years ago in Lagos. Upon entering a bus he noticed a guy trying to pick his pocket, he then grabbed the guy and wanted to raise alarm, not knowing that the guys gang was around. Before he knew it they surronded him and started beating him call HIM the thief. Didnt take long before a crowd came and he was beaten by the crowd only to die days later due to the beating. It was a small girl selling by the roadside who later relayed the story claiming she was afraid to speak seeing the way they beat up the guy. Sadddest was that he was the moms only child and his dad passed away some years earlier. The mom died after a year due to stress and grief, so my ppl be slow to judge, remember this is Nigeria where they do and undo.

This is not as crazy as it sounds, the only thing is that our health standards are so BACKWARDS. It may have been a tooth abscess which if not treated with the right antibiotics is actually quite fatal. Its such a shame how Nigerians die from basic things.

kitone:
It's obvious you are not a Dentist or even Medical doctor, so you don't just jump to conclusion. Dental abscess will not kill him.unless its cellulitis ie Ludwig s angina.and if its that then he presented to the clinic late.and perhaps he was said to have slumped and die .he could have some other co morbidity. So for you.to say we are backwards then you are ignorant. With no apologies

Typical Nigerian reply. Impossible to have a decent conversation without slander or abuse, we wonder why we are seen as uncivilised and replies without substance just in the essence to make noise. Ok let me harbour you. Im an MD (not doc) of a bank.

First of all my first path was medical many moons ago. I was always interested in the sciences and wanted to be a doctor. I was even given a (paid) research training spot in a North Holland Hospital to further in Clinical neurophysiology but quit not because of the rigors but when I had to tell a man of roughly 30 he was dying when I saw him come in for the examination with his wife and small daughter. I couldn’t do it, it got to me more than I thought and that day believe it or not I quit, so you are woefully wrong. My wife is in the medical field for over 20 years and my daughter took a sabbatical from med school and will be resuming this August. You have time, look up my past posts, you will see I mention it. My wife calls people like you Doctor Google. With the advent of Google we all are doctors nowadays. Would get into Ludwig Angina but that's for another time.

Secondly based on your response, you certainly are clueless. Anyone in the medical field worth their medal will tell you that bacterial infection is the MAJOR CASUE OF HUMAN DEATH since time immemorial. The majority of abscesses are caused by………….you guessed it Sherlock BACTERIAL INFECTION. So whether its dental, facial etc etc thats not the issue, you are dealing with an infection and they are deadly.

Thirdly and most importantly, I witnessed this first hand when some years ago, a junior staff fainted after complaining for days from a molar extraction. Here in the West its common to remove the last 4 molars or Wisdom teeth, they claim it makes it easier to clean the teeth. This chap did so and days later actually fainted at work. While everyone was going helter skelter I called my wife explaining the situation and she said right off, INFECTION. Turns out the guy had an abscess in his upper jaw that had gone thru the soft bone tissue and was near his temporal bone. The doctor said had he waited a day later it may have gotten into his brain area, then its touch and go. The thing is that an abscess can become so infected that it either cant be stopped or actually will submerge and cause damage. So you are very wrong. This chap had to get antibiotics actually infused directly.

thank me later.

Something tells me English wasn’t your forte. I didn’t say Nigerians were backwards but the medical and I stand by it. Also I state it MAY have been as I wasnt certain and I stand by the fact that our medical system is backwards. Our general medical I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy, but since you love it I pray that when you are sick or your loved ones you should fall back on the excellent expertise of our medical system. Something tells me you may one day you may think back about this rant with regret, oh well Karma can be a b…………

DoTheNeedful:
What about the South East?

If anyone is to be president from the North Central now then he should be a Christian. Are the Christians in the NC not good enough to rule Nigeria?

Politicians are our problem. Once they can't compete effectively you start hearing "It is our turn", "It should be Christian", "It should be Muslim", "It should be from the SW" and so on.

At the end of the day they have all failed the country. We have only "succeeded" in creating billionaire politicians. undecided

I agree with you, hence I stated in a sane society. In the western world, they would allow a convicted felon to even associate or have any link, why, its a stain period. But hey its Nigeria, we like second best and are pros at being run over and walk over as the common man, tomorrow we will complain how we are being mistreated.

This is also the reason why Buharis war against corruption was not being taken seriously in the West, in his party are known thieves.

because of the fact that ibori was convicted for corruption case and serve jail terms doesn't make him less human.if he joins apc he is not going to be the decision maker of the party.he only add electoral value to the party.
as far as apc decision body is concerned
Tinubu oshomole bisi akande led Acn and buhari led cpc re the foundation of apc and the decision making body .any other person's re just members.for the fact that none of tinubu ,oshomole, buhari have never been in pdp in their political career is a plus to the nation

In sane societies, a convicted felon wouldn't be allowed to join a party nor hold office. Some of the names mentioned are also not positive from a non corruption point of view.

Celebrities / Re: Mimi Orjiekwe Flaunts Her Purchases After She Went Shopping In Dubai by PBundles(m): 7:12pm On Aug 20, 2018
Chances are these are all fake. I go to Dubai all the time ( business and pleasure/vacationing etc), ask anyone in the know, there is a thriving FAKE industry there being managed by Indians/Pakistani with the help of some Emirate citizens, mainly around the KARAMA market area. You can get everything right down to the actual (FAKE) designer store bag, boxes etc etc. if one cant show the receipt, you know its probably fake. In Dubai those that have money don't show it at all, since the person sitting still next to you could be a multi billionaire. The government is trying to crack it down because of trademark infringement, as the real brands in the malls don't like this. On the other hand, Dubai is thriving on tourism so, the government every now and then carries out a raid, but if they really wanted to stop it, they could at the port. She runs a heavy risk though as I have seen this a couple of times at the airport. If she is controlled, they may ask her to tender receipts and if she transits, say via UK and steps out, she runs a risk too. Not worth it in my humble opinion, but hey, her life, her headache.
