I am waiting for the OBJ-haters to start saying Obasanjo is using Waziri to chase elumelu coz Obj is at the root of every prblem in the cuntry |
he is qualified for the election like every other nigerian , but definitely not qualified to be elected |
what makes one a nigerian? that u r born in nigeria, or grew up in nigeria or your ancestors (till to the 10 generation were born in nigeria), that u have once stayed in nigeria for more than 2 years, that ur parents stayed in nigeria for more than 10 years before, that u marry a lady who is nigerian etc |
what pains me is that we are very quick to point accusing fingers at government anytime something bad happen, even politicians will point accusing finger at govt, the govt will even point accusing finger at govt, and the truth is that the govt is a faceless individual, it is nobody becuase all of us are govt. we dont think that our little actions contribute to the large collosal misfortunes that happens everyday- we should all be bold enough to own up to our actions and inactions and not blaming the faceless govt for it!!! we all contribute to the mess and until each one of us changes our approach to one another, to the "so-called" govt facilities etc, we will always moan about it. A lot of reasons could be said to accountable for ladies' death, bad roads, bad health care, people suffocating here, her own personal troubles and pressure (independently of any govt) etc. Dont just blindly point accusing fingers to govt coz no matter how we look at it, we are part of the problem, and so, we must change to be part of the solutions too |
this is very informative and i'll advice all to see this!!! As much as the US government will want t help out solve the case in Nigeria, the current stance of the present goverment with regards to fighting corruption (especially, with the persecution of Ribadu), as well as some domestic intereeest US will want to protect, they may not be tooo willing to help out!!!! But I know that all that participated in this to the further impoverishment of Nigerians wont go unpunished- I am too sure about that!!! On a side note, there is another angle to Abacha's death from the report - it says Abacha died of viagra overdose in a sex romp -lol |
the problem is that we believe that Nigeria cant be better, given is happening now and the trend we are seeing, but should we becuase of that give up on nigeria that we actually are. we dont give up on our children no matter how bad they are (even if we know they are worst criminals, we still have hope that one day they will change), we didnt give up on our life, family, careers, businesses, education, health etc even at points wen we were supposed to have given up hope, we didnt give up on pple in coma - we always hope that one day they will come back to life - why give up on a country that u own and that owns u? the starting point is to change our thoughts, lets see hope, no matter how dark it is, and let the hope we see drive us to act right, let's be the change we want to see- be willing to err on the side of hope. this in anyway doenst mean we should not criticise anybody doing right, but the the critcism be constructive and bring hope to anybody that listens. to think that nigeria wont be better will make us act in the way that resonate with that, and that has never helped us. God bless Nigeria |
there is a way to be real and optimistic, and that is the path to follow A glass half-full can be seen as half empty, both of the views are real, but one view is better |
We are products of our thoughts, and the more we think and say Nigeria is bad, Nigerians are bad, there is no future for nigeria, our leaders can never get it right, the follwership is doomed etc, the more nigeria slides into that state that you are thinking, one of the root causes of our problems is the way we think, and beginning from our thoughts, we can start setting things right. The truth about it is that the situation is not the best at the moment, amd we are not making it better by being negative about it. It will cost us as much as it cost us the equivalient of what it cost to be pessimstic abt nigeria in being optimistic abt it too, let us opt for optimism. When I say think positive, i dont mean saying "e go better" while you believe in ur heart, it wont be better coz that wil never translate to action. I know we are naturally trained to be critical of everything in nigeria, but while being critical, please, be positive. Your thoughts will soon infect that person staying close to you, if you keep on thinking positive. It can be frustrating thinkin positve sometime, but it pays off at the end. Thinking positive is not the solution, but it will lead us right. be the incurable optimist |
right now, kidnappers operations is not well syndicated in its operations, but i bet it, if no drastic measure is taking now, and we believe in the business as usual, then, in 2 years, nigeria will be worse than columbia. the police needs to train its officers abt ways of tackling this, perhaps they may invite the columbian /US police to help out with this as they have better experience in handling, and i hope the training they'll recieve from them will later be customized to suit nigerian realities. |
you only attract to yourself people who think and reason like you, so, if you want to see good nigerians, make urslef good first, and if you want to attract selfish nigerians, you can continue with the way you are living |
i think he tried in Agenda No. 3 - wealth creation (for some members of our society - his cronies , u know dem now, shebi) |
Of course, reading people abusing each other is fun to me, but it routes the discusion away from the real issue to something irrelevant at the end of the day, Why abuse one you are not seeing!!! And many of us will condemn politicians fighting in the parliament while even with the way we rain abuses here, we are sure to do more than fighting if elected parliamentarian. i think we should always focus on the real issues and not on pple yabbing. Of course, i must acknowledge the fact that some pple are genetically stupid, and must be called their name so that they know, e.g nigeria1 being equivalent to slowpoke i cant really find the appropriate section to post this, but since, people abuse each other more in politics section, i have decided to post this here. |
i seriously hope and pray that PDP loose in ekiti, but i can bet on my life that the voice is not oyinlolaa's |
i know say ur guy no fit just do that thing if u guys never drag am reach the level wey be say he no get option but to do what he/she did, so, i have u to blame in the first place, why you go owe ur guy wen u get big money for bank, it is not faor from ur side at alll, anyways, that on one side, going to the issue of ur frend, if u stil like him, make him know that if u take up the issue with him, he may loose his job. but if u no like am. demand to know how 80,000 got missing from your account as you didnt authorise its payment to anybody - at the end of the day, u will get that money back and ur friend will be biting his fingers |
may God forgive all of us oo, including the dead man coz he should have known this will backfire wen he was marrying all those women and giving birth, by the count of this newspaper, the man had 26 chiildren, how come a missionary and CAC cleric would have that - na all the church members him dey do missionary work on?? and may God forgive these unruly children who dont want their father to rest in peace, they should just remember that they will die one day too and somebody may decide to treat their corpse the way they are ttreating their late father tooo, awooon omo iya awusa!!! |
pple are gettin expelled from universities in their thousands after spending 6 , 7 years due to the fact that it was alleged they forged their WAEC certificate and this is wat these ppple called a minor offence!!!! very soon , forgeery will be legalized in nigeria!!! |
depends on ur definition of successs - which i think nobody can define for you!!! -abcha sees himself as successful, adedibu sees himsel as sucessful, soyinka sees himself as sucessful, cyprian ekwesi sees himself as suceessful etc, so, it all depends on wat u term sucess!!!! |
i can eat anything edible but any hausa traditional delicacy is shit to me, u guys have to try them out!!! love fufu - but cant eat it with my bare hands coz the strongeest perf wont remove its odour in 10 hrs |
@poster, though it may not be important in the uk, in germany, it is important - so, let us not bas our discusion on that . (though i dont support the idea of registration too) |
Nigeria!!! Great country Gerat People |
What gives u the impression that Madonna is buying the child, even, if she wants to buy the child, she is not buying the child into slavery (what we do in Nigeria) and if she is giving the parents money to have the child stay with her, this means the child will know his/her parents - which is even better coz the child will have a choice of who to be with in the future. I tell u, if I am told now that one judge somewhere once denied me a chance to be adopted by Elvis Presley - that jugde is in trouble oooo - more esp. if i am now very poor!!! We in Africa give birth to children we cant take care of - see them in the streets, malnourished, not given proper education and most grow up to me a menace to the society. And here in the west, they have a love and the money that they direct to other things - cats, dogs, birds - u can imagine how much these folks spend on this!! One of my former colleagues took a weeks break from work when her dog died to mourn it!!! So if these folks decide to spend these resources that they have on our african children (that we dont love, appreciate and value - coz if we value them, we wont bring them into the world without thinkin of how they are going to live in this world), let them do it - although i will support some form of regulations to this too , but not that stupid one in malawi |
mumu judge!!! The judge had better commited a suicide before I grew up If i were to be the child!!!! I am a strong advocate of western parents adopting african children insted of spending thier money and love heavily on cats and dogs - and this is what this stupid judge has dealt a heavy blow on!!!! Let me hope Madonna apeal the decision |

i think this includes her husband and children coz they aint in Nigeria, and besides - charity begins at home ( a word is enogh for a wise on this). On a lighter note, the second highest source of foreign exchange earning in nigeria is money sent in by Nigerians abroad, so, how are these pple working their arse out in order to send money home Nigera's enemy -is it because the money doesnt go to politicians via the govt coffers!!! stilll wondering |
pics please |
i dont have much against ibinabo killing anybody - coz what happened to her can happen to anybody , and I feel for the family of the dead man too, i dont pray to be in their shoes(neither do i pray for Ibinabo to be in their shoes too), but the problem with Ibinabo is arrongance, and the believe that fame and money cant get you anyting in Nigeria, she showed no remorse for what she did, which is one major thing that Jugdes look ia in delivering a jugdement abt "manslaughter" cases. Wish her 5 year sentence to be reduced, but wish her to learn the lesson (and also teach others especially the oppresors in nigeria) that they will not have it their way all day |
@Ibime http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1083636/Judge-breaks-tears-sentences-lorry-driver-killed-motorcyclist-dangerous-U-turn.html this man was not even drunk and he got 14 years in uk!!! |
