RomanceRe: Til 2013 Do Us Part? What Do You Think About This? by pendo89(f): 5:18pm On Oct 01, 2011
I even think 2 years is too long to waste on a relationship that is dead or dying. And do not talk patience.I have seen people getting patient to their early death.
Its obvious nobody enters marriage expecting to divorce 2 yrs later.poo happens and people part ways.
Here I come Mexico! grin

ok enough derailment.
Its good to know the dude on the other side. Insults come because people feel insecure with themselves and try to prove what they are not.
Smart and good-looking people have no time for tantrums and insults.
But you look good for sure and I say that with pure heart.
cheers

^ silly. But if you havent noticed I never expose my wardrobe to the public cz its not public property and am not a politician. grin

Well what I noticed here is that some people become aggressive over nothing yet some have never met.
Some topics are simply provocative.meant to get into nerves and get people fighting.Who am I to stop it? If am not comfortable I skip altogether.
But you know some bashing helps to get rid of some silly demeaning topics. What I just find hard to comprehend is the level of insults. You know the kind of you expect from high school kids?  I always want to believe its not coming from a grownup cz I cant picture a fully grown man/woman with hands Akimbo yelling out.
its akward and not civilised. Its better to use sacarsm than insult.
And what is even pathetic is insulting each other's parents, what if they are no more?
RomanceRe: How Important Is Tribe In Nigerian Relationships? by pendo89(f): 12:51pm On Oct 01, 2011
I doubt the issue is tribe but the culture associated with a tribe
I know a tribe where if you marry and the hubby dies then you must be inherited by the bro in law. Plus other crazy rituals that follow the burial ceremony.
That is archaic and even though its rare now its still practiced in the remote regions. Not nigeria of course but Africa.
I wouldnt mind the tribe as long as you dont bring some weird archaic culture into the relationship.
Foreign AffairsRe: Ocampo/hague Kenya Case by pendo89(f): 12:30pm On Oct 01, 2011
We are in the hague because Kenya is a signatory of the Rome statue which authorises the ICC to prosecute and pass judgement on people who have engaged in war crimes. Theres no escape once a warrant is issued. Bashir has refused to voluntarily present himself there so there is a warrant for his arrest. He can only be arrested in a country which is a signatory member. Not in US or Israel. But who wants him there anyway. That is the risk of the being member of the rome statue.

All these leaders who appear at the ICC dont do so because their systems are bad,Its cz they have no option. They MUST or they get arrested like sadam.

Now who told you that only Raila and Kibaki  pay taxes and not the rest? I saw them troop one by one to pay tax arrears amounting to millions. They were given a deadline. Some are paying in instalment cz  the amounts are huge.
Kibaki and Raila did it publicly as an example. How d u expect the others not to if the 2 paid? Its criminal.

Listen now even if we have the best justice system and a crime of this nature reoccurs,we shall find ourselves at the Hague!
Only way out is to cease being a member which again is even worse cz citizens will suffer under ruthless leaders.

pliz dont ask me to watch sauti again
TravelRe: Please What Are Neccessary Steps To Travel To Kenya by pendo89(f): 12:11pm On Oct 01, 2011
oh if the agency you approach does not have an IATA approved cert on their wall then step. An approved agent must publicly display it and before one is apprvd they must qualified according to International IATA standards not local. One of the notable qualifications is the location and appearance of the agency.
It must be accessible in a good location. Not hidden in some dingy place.
TravelRe: Please What Are Neccessary Steps To Travel To Kenya by pendo89(f): 11:34am On Oct 01, 2011
Gidson first start by checking on this very section a thread titled kenya a beautiful east african city.
That guy gallivat has captured kenya so well and exposed the best places any visitor would wish. The choice is yours but I will use a common word agents use.
Combine beach and Safari.
A good tour offers you a complete package comprising of air, hotel and safari, excursions etc.

Kenya is a world. We have 3 to 5 start hotels, mountain climbing, adventure safari, the beach, snorkling, show trips, scuba diving, rafting, bungee, deep sport fishing tours, hikinng, surfing hot air baloons bla blabla. All at a cost.It all boils down to the pocket and how much your willing to blow.

A good agent will ask you ' What is your budget'? then work around that. You may not afford a safari but a wild excursion may be affordable.
You only mention your budget, state your likes, see the pics then decide.

Then check the season. If you come to kenya during high season like now towards festive holidays be sure your pockets are full.

So key things are

>Budget
>Where to tour ie hotel and sites
>How many are you
>The season

The coast is beautiful for honeymoon, you can thereafter tour the tsavo, mara, the rift valley, central then back.Or start with the wild and end with the beach. whtver rocks your boat. Those 3 places alone have the best tourist sites and spread across the country. you will def enjoy.
Get a good IATA APPROVED TRAVEL AND TOURS AGENT I would have recommend from here but I am not doing biz only trying to help you.
If you pick a guy on the street to help you then u have urself to blame.

^^
lol  newcomer faces the wrath of oldies. I rem I was still new, fresh and worse a foreigner! but wanted to particpate cz I had been reading as guest before.
somebody asked me to take my threads out of nl. sad  His profile pic had dog on it!! I still rem and I hated him so much. grin
I disappeared for 3 days thinking that foreigners are not welcomed here, then I saw Nayah form cameroon/france plus a couple of others and I resurfaced. Its like being a fresher in high school.
With time you develop thick skin.Best way is to skip or avoid such threads. It doesnt pain to do that.
Go with what you find comfortable with and have fun

Kenyanman I think you r mzungu mweusi. grin

I love talking about anything under the earth. From weather to diapers. That is why am still here.

I don't doubt  your uzalendo but its been a while since you were in Kenya.I can tell that.

The constitution is being implemented bit by bit. Kenyan are seeing the change and everything is done under the new not old anymore.

Finally I have visited sauti ya kenya. By the way I came across that sauti in my usual browsing even before I met you here. I just dint understand what it was all about.

just stop asking me to keep checking it over and over. its tiring. I already know what is happening even without the sauti.

Now wait a sec,I had not seen the soil. grin

Where and when was the photo was taken because river road which is the nbo downtown has nice tarmacked roads.
this kind of soil can only be found at a place called gikomba which is not far from the city. Its the largest second hand clothes market.
You only find soil in 2 places.City parks, or any place with vegetation not roads.
Our council officials behave like hawks in searching for prey. Clamping vehicles parked at wrong places (their fav hobby angry).you are caught spitting, throwing paper on street, sitting on flower vase, getting into bus at wrong stage or public smoking and its an instant fine. Not cheap to deter people. grin
They are so zealous at reinforcing them. But its good cz they tame people and give the workers less work of cleaning.
What if its a rural area far from the city? u know bodas are found in every town for ease of transport.
nway what is a city without a downside.Jburg has one and so does Miami florida.

Foreign AffairsRe: Ocampo/hague Kenya Case by pendo89(f): 9:39pm On Sep 30, 2011
what happened to your swahili then? i bet u dont live in Africa.
what is driving you? do u aspire to be a politician or journalist?

majimbo!The problematic issue was resources.
can u compare garissa with wolalos and turkana/pokots with meru, rift valley, nyeri  kericho or kisumu in terms of revenue?
I laughed when I heard overheard a discussion in the mall regarding majimbo. That if introduced, one may require a visa to visit another region.
But the main challenge with majimbo will be resources and revenue.  I am telling you some regions will be 5 star while others 2 star unless financing is done from a central location in this case Nbo.
I think the CDF thing was a test trial on county governance. I prefer it to majimbo unless I thoroughly understand how majimbo is gonna work.

Why not consult the Kenyan High Commisssion in Nigeria.I believe in following due process.
Then are you coming for tour or business? Where to do intend to stay?
Get a reputable tour/travel agent to book you a nice tour plus check out the best airline.
That info is only a phone call or website away.
