Well look at it this way.The press don't bother chasing up the poor because their stories won't sell.They prefer making news out of the known,the rich and the famous because they are more in the public eye and their divorce stories juicy.
The factors afflicting the rich in marital conflicts are the same as those afflicting the poor.Finances,Adultery,Abuse,Neglect,Desertion etc etc.
They both divorce officially but trust me,you are more likely to read the stats for the rich than the poor.

Before one leaves physically, they have already left emotionally.It's like a tiring job.One switches off and starts looking for greener pastures before writing that letter of resignation.You must have seen a 'fed up with work' staff's behaviour and attitude.I swear they are better off gone than work with attitude.They will not deliver, plus they make every other person's work life miserable.
It's the same way people in tiring/worn out relationships behave.They look outside,talk about outside,mingle more with the outside and pay less attention to what happens where they are at because, it doesn't matter anymore.They develop a 'so what' ATT.
By the time one utters those 3 words, the other party must be psychologically prepared already,if she/he was smart enough to detect the tell, tell signs and in that case just let him go, since forcing him to stay may make your life very miserable.

I dont know why you came to this comparison and conclusion because lack of formal education is not illiteracy.

Long ago non -formal education was applied, but it was education by all means since it worked for them in their environment.They just weren't able to read or write but that didn't make their minds were dull.
The frowned upon informal educ. gave them wisdom to solve community probs, which we as 'modern' nations with all the education we have acquired,find it difficult to resolve and instead resort to sophisticated fights.

I personally don't judge people by their level of education, because I have seen illiterate though wise fellows.
Wise in the sense that, they possess problem solving skills and can find their way through life.These fellows can build an empire from simple thoughts.
I have also met the highly educated but poor at solving issues type.They cannot sustain a relationship,raise a family or keep a job because they analyse too much and forget that its simple things that get the tough working.

I think the poster mentioned something about one's relationship with God as 'Immunity'? I actually posted what I did to prove that one's relationship with God doesn't make them immune to such crazy acts. It takes a lot of self will and control to be a great man/woman.Add God's word to that.

You will never hear me tell anybody to divorce as a solution to marital probs. No way.Because first and foremost I am a believer just like Timjo.
All other avenues of reconciliation must be exhausted first.And if that fails completely then separate.
People don't automatically go for divorce.The separation period is a period of reflection and decision making.
The courts don't even grant people a divorce right away esp where I am.They must have separated for not less than 3 years.

My conclusion is this.Go for divorce if it hits rock bottom and there's no hope of reconciling. Anything less,manage.

I was helping out a 7 yr old girl that was eventually murdered together with her mother! She had refused to leave the man even though he kept abusing her daily. Kept hoping that he would one day change. She even moved house to go live far with man.A machete silenced them all and that lil grl's death hit me bad.
