ok I dont know the real value of 30 k naira so I am not the best person to advice.
But I still dont think it should be a reason. Are the you the one worrying or him? If he already harbours doubts and fears he can pause cz you cant build a relationship on those let alone marriage.

You want advise on what? Did your friend say he doesn't want the wedding or you plan to advise him based on what people post here?
Again what are his lamentations? Is it that the girl lied about her background,the girl has put a deadline or is it cz they met only a month ago?

Does he love her? does he consider her a wife 'material'? You know it's possible to date for years an still end up with a bad partner so that clearly tells you that time is not really an issue esp if you are both open and true to each other.
She could be hiding her background for a reason.Probably she doesn't want to intimidate the guy in other words he could be insecure.
How old is she that she wants to get married in 6 months time anyway? What is the rush? Is she expectant?

Op how can u be so shallow?

1. She is not fat cz she's got no job! Do we have fat working people? If you mean office job,then who told you house work is no job? If she gets busy with housework and eat less she will lose weight.

2. Is she on Family planning pills? Those things have several effects including weight lose or gain.Some women baloon out of proportion cz of pills.

3. If she eats less and she is not on pills then it could be her genes. Some people have slow metabolism and burn fat slowly.

4. You need to let her know that she is gaining weight and it's not good on her.Do not take childish measures like hiding food etc.Knowledge of what is right for her body is good. Replace starch with protein and see what happens.

5. Did you say you both cant fit on the bed? Is that really an excuse? Are you not anticipating a pregnancy in the near future? Are u sleeping on a 3 by 6 bed or what? and what happens when she gets pregnant? Invest in a large sized bed.

Lastly she is your wife and running is never an answer.Fatness is not a terminal disease so deal with it now before it gets out of control.

Many people blame these men of the cloak but they themselves are to blame.
The pastor must come up with an answer because you approached him and it's rare to hear pastor admit they are not sure because it puts to doubt his calling.
From what I have seen so far,if you are a regular tither,committed in church he is more likely to approve regardless of whether you are dating a crook.
But if you are 'the thief who steals from God' by not tithing and you only show face in church during Easter and Christmas then you obviously know the answer.
That is why it is important to seek God's will on your own because you have full access to God. The word is is enough.

listen, I may respect an elder person's opinions but that doesn't mean I have to agree with him on everything personal.

If you keep ur relationship to yourself then the pastor will not bother you.

Expecting his opinion means you are not confident with your decision and therefore wants 'approval and assurance from the man of the cloak to feel good.

what a question? which ladies now because we are not all the same height. you could be an ogre or a dwarf depending on my height.

Many times I engage a man in talk they don't want to let go. I have to cut it off cz we can talk hours on end about everything under the sun.
I always start and when I find it exhausting I divert and bring in something more interesting.I just pick from the previous topic and move on.One topic always leads to another and it just seems like we cannot exhaust the topic.
There so many things to talk about really.I can start a conversation from say a gecko I have seen on the wall or a just a mug of coffee.And I keep it afloat.

Alice Lakwena

A self-proclaimed prophetess and spirit medium, Alice, an ethnic Acholi whose real name was Alice Auma, claimed to be possessed by the spirit of a dead Italian army officer called Lakwena who, in August 1986, ordered her to create a Holy Spirit Movement to liberate the world from sin and bring an end to the bloodshed.

After gathering a group of followers, Alice convinced the leaders of the UPDA to put some of their troops under her control. In November and December 1986, under the command of His Holiness Lakwena, the Holy Spirit Movement achieved two unexpected victories over government forces which attracted more recruits. Eventually Alice Lakwena's followers numbered some 10,000.

The Holy Spirit Movement fought as a regular army, albeit one whose weapons were as much magical as military. Alice Lakwena persuaded her followers that smearing themselves with nut oil and taking magic potions would make them invulnerable to bullets.

LRA leader Joseph Kony is Lakwena's cousin

The spirit-medium said she was fighting to purify the aggrieved northern Acholi people.

She promised her fighters that use of her "Holy Oil" would protect them from bullets, turning them to water.Her followers believed magic potions protected them in battle, but they were defeated by government forces.

After she fled, Ms Lakwena lived in a refugee camp in north-eastern Kenya where she died in exile after a long illness.

Following the Holy Spirit Movement's demise, Many later regrouped to form the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), led by her cousin Joseph Kony. Over the next two decades went on to abduct thousands of children to become fighters or sex slaves.

It has not been clear what Mr Kony, who also sees himself as a spirit medium, has been fighting for but he has said he wanted to rule according to the Biblical Ten Commandants, and create a "new generation" of Acholis.


Mr Kony says his group will not disarm until the International Criminal Court in The Hague drops war crimes charges against him and other LRA leaders.
