In the north, most politicians are imposing their children on the masses and the core northern youths felt that there's no space for them by any chance. Some of them who have access to good phones try to compare themselves with our celebrities also and felt they have been bottled all along.
So quite a number of them who heard what peter Obi is saying about the north that the north is the oil field of Nigeria got them thinking.
I was in Potiskum last week where I overheard some youths arguing about Peter Obi. You need to hear them. In fact one told them that Peter Obi is the only person who will not use human lives to do business with Boko Haram and bandits. You need to see how they were hailing PO. It's crazy! They refer to tinubu as barawo (thief). They said if tinubu becomes a president he will sell nnpc to his brother wale tinubu. I was shocked how they knew some things.

Interesting days ahead I must confess.

In the run on to 2015 elections when Buhari was packaged as the saviour of Nigeria, some people, mostly Igbos , shouted on top of their voices on the disaster that Buhari would become if elected.

That voice of reason was dismissed, disparaged and called many things.

Some claimed we were against Buhari because GEJ’s government was benefiting us.

Others called us bigots.

In the end, with all of kinds of abracadabra, including underage voting, they succeeded in enthroning Buhari to power.

Still the Igbos did not relent. We never hid our disdain for Buhari and we made it clear for the whole world to know.

Why? Because we saw years beyond what a lot shortsighted people who voted Buhari could see.

In 2019, despite the maltreatment that Buhari had subjected us to, we refused to bend, and voted against him again. Some people still voted him again. Either to spite the Igbos or simply because they cannot think for themselves except what their godfather tells them or out of outright foolishness and stupidity.

But the current realities of Nigeria today has demonstrated who was right and who was wrong.

Naira is now 700 to a dollar.

Abuja, the seat of power, is now overrun by bandits and insurgents that Buhari promised to crush in six months by leading from the front.

Schools, including Universities, are now closing down due to insecurity.

Economy is shambles.

Just today we saw a report that Nigeria’s Excess Crude Account was depleted from about $35million dollars to about $370,000 in less than one month.

Are Igbos now justified or fools still wanna wallow in foolishness and denial?

When Peter Obi losses out next year, watch and see how many Igbo lawyers , politicians will storm courts to call for the annulment of the elections and for fresh elections to be conducted.

This will be widely supported by the Igbo masses .

The court cases will drag on until the close of Buhari's disastrous tenure and calls will be made for a civilian transition by the same Igbos.

Covid blighted Buhari's second term in a general financial depression for the entire world no major economy has fully recovered from till date.

All these cumulatively produced an extended period of paucity of investment finance globally. External factors beyond Nigeria's control have played a part in the decelerated progress of Eko Atlantic but investor confidence is now returning strongly and sales of units off-plan is gaining traction.

It can only get better when Buhari leaves to be replaced, hopefully, by a Liberal President who has no problem enabling Nigeria gain an economy capable of leveraging heavily, comprehensively and exhaustively on her non-oil income potentials.
