He is Michael the archangel!
Archangel (most powerful angel) means he already has the power to control other heavenly beings! Revelations 12:7-9
That's why no other angel is called by that title! smiley
How come none of the writers of the gospel and the epistles revealed the Jesus was Angel Michael? You don't give meaning to what the bible says you draw out meaning from it. The Bible can never mean what it never means

Christianity EtcRe: Even some Non Christians Will Make Heaven by Perfectbeing(m): 6:56pm On Apr 22, 2020
The criteria.. I repeat.. The only criteria for making heaven is faith in Christ. Hence you'll see good people in hell and "bad people in Heaven.

Good works existed before Jesus came to die. If good works was a requirement then John 3:16 would read "For God so loved the world that whoever does good shall not perish but have everlasting life"

John 6:29 (from Jesus Himself); Jesus answered and said unto them this is the work of the God, that you believe in Whom He sent..

Mary and Joseph would not have been saved if they did not believe in Jesus
Christianity EtcRe: Jehovah Witness, Did Jesus Create Jesus? by Perfectbeing(m): 6:17pm On Apr 22, 2020
John 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

This texts clearly shows that the Word (Jesus) existed before the creation of things. So he obviously is the creator.
Now even if we go by the JW logic and say the Word was created first and then the Word created all other things there would still be a problem.

Gen 1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness...

The question is who actively created the heaven and the earth. It would be Jesus. Because (according to JW) God made Jesus, the Jesus made all other things. So Gen 1 would simply say;

In the beginning Jesus created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Jesus moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And Jesus said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And Jesus saw the light, that it was good: and Jesus divided the light from the darkness...

Now in Gen 2:2, someone rested. Let the JW tell us who rested...

2 And on the seventh day ---- ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

A certain man placed a fountain by the wayside, and he hung up a cup near to it by a little chain.
He was told some time after that a great art-critic had found much fault with its design. "But," said he, "do many thirsty persons drink at it?"
Then they told him that thousands of poor people, men, women, and children, slaked their thirst at this fountain;
and he smiled and said, that he was little troubled by the critic's observation, only he hoped that on some sultry summer's day the critic himself might fill the cup, and he refreshed, and praise the name of the Lord.
Here is my fountain, and here is my cup. Find fault if you wish, but do drink of the water of life
I only care for this. I would rather bless the soul of the poorest street cleaner or rag-gatherer than please a Prince and fail to convert him to God

Christianity EtcWhen Your Persuasion Is Not Enough In A Pandemic by Perfectbeing(op): 5:17am On Apr 18, 2020
Knowledge is one thing, the ability to apply contextualized facts is another thing .
There are many instances ,When your knowledge or let’s say persuasion isn’t enough .
Paul highlights this
1 Corinthians 8:1....But knowledge makes us proud of ourselves, while love makes us helpful to others.
Here he deals with the eating of food offered to idols .
The question of when it comes to others is not always what I know or believe but rather what will help .
This knowledge doesn’t make one superior over another, but rather should help Others
Vs 8 But food doesn't bring us any closer to God. We are no worse off if we don't eat, and we are no better off if we do.
He reiterated an admonition
Vs 9But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.
In a later text he re emphasized this ..
1 Corinthians 10:24 We should think about others and not about ourselves.
What would help people now ?!
Verse 23-Some of you say, "We can do whatever we want to!" But I tell you not everything may be good or helpful.
True knowledge of The Son watches out for others.
Yet elsewhere paul reemphasizes this in a more direct way .
Romans 14:14 The Lord Jesus has given me the knowledge and conviction that no food is unacceptable in and of itself. But it is unacceptable to a person who thinks it is.
His persuasion about food yet he mustn’t get in the way of others .
The issues here are non essentials.
They mustn’t constitute what we flag or flaunt .
This is the same with using medication or taking medical precautions.
Men are variably persuaded.
Yet paul gives yet another instruction
Verse 22what you believe about this matter, then, between yourself and God. Happy are those who do not feel guilty when they do something they judge is right!
Keeping such persuasion to yourself might save many .
Now to the issues.
Some believe in a pandemic situation we rely on the supernatural.
The healing power of God.
Yes we should.
A Christian who doesn’t believe in the supernatural is pretending.
He’s not a Christian.
But herein lies the challenge.
At times those who say so, do no more than brag and make unsubstantiated claims .
In a situation described above ,it can’t be wise to start tagging those who take to medical advise as being faithless concerning Gods power.
Nothing in scriptures refers to medical advise as faithlessness or that which neutralizes our faith in God.
This was an age long error perpetrated and perpetuated by certain charismatic/ Pentecostal heroes .
Infact many of such claims sent many into early graves and others into disillusionment even into abandoning the faith altogether.
No famed healing minister of the 1900 or the healing revival is still alive today .
Some of them have their mates still alive and weren't healing ministers .
That said .
It’s without doubt that as touching sound physical health, common sense and good nutrition are the norm ,the miraculous comes in where it’s beyond them .
To ignore that non believers live long and healthy is to have a jaundiced view of the subject matter .
I have dropped such myopia for many years .
I take church members to the hospital .
I give and study medical advice .
I minister to the sick .
I have been doing this for over 25 years .
I have thousands of testimonies including recent cases of the recent pandemic.
Yet,my perception must never be selfish.
What would make people safe ,sound and healthy?
Not my persuasion, but what is practical for them now .
I personally have defied doctors predictions twice .
I mean life threatening and ending scenarios.
If you lay your hands on what I teach ,on healing ,
It has a far more wiser approach than my earlier years of making reckless statements.
I have a better wholesome and wholesaled view ,Scripturally speaking .
To endanger lives to prove a point is callous.
To use your persuasion on others on issues like these without considering them is mean .
In my earlier years ,I mocked using drugs ,I had nicknamed them too.
Stupid.
It’s arrogance.
Hear paul ..
1 timothy 5:23Stop drinking only water. Take a little wine to help your stomach trouble and the other illnesses you often have.
This is Paul’s number one disciple.
I didn’t see paul tell timothy,
“ I am immune from stomach trouble ,you should be too “
Or come let me lay hands on it .
Or why use wine ,that’s panic and fear .
I am sure paul must have prayed for timothy.
Yet ,he prescribes a natural cure .
Some have opined timothy didn’t walk in the supernatural.
They are comedians.
He did, hence Paul’s counsel to take wine too.
The church mustn’t discredit the sound healing ministry with bogus and unpractical means to stave off an epidemic.
It’s unwise .
A pastor friend told me recently how his church members prayed for him when he fell ill .
I saw that as commendable.
As he's a strong advocate and practitioner of divine healing with outstanding results .
That said .
Even when and if you feel you are so immune from sickness and disease .
Still advise
Social distancing.
Eating well
Washing hands
Staying home
When you do this well, you are obeying scriptures.
Realize you are an exception and others aren’t .
Take Paul’s counsel.
Keep it between you and God.
So others don’t stumble and die .
I hope this blessed you

Christianity EtcOn Material Prosperity by Perfectbeing(op): 12:25pm On Jan 04, 2020
Before You sow that seed ( short exhortation on material wealth ) kindly read patiently
Anytime a preacher attempts to give proper bible interpretation to the subject of giving and receiving ,he is often accused of being " critical " and " not wanting others to prosper".
Such blackmail doesn't work with me .
I teach giving extensively and exhaustively .
It is notorious .But I emphasize the truth of it.
If the truth won't make you prosper ( which is ridiculous ) then it's better not to live in a lie .
It's often said and believed that the reason for prosperity is giving .
Hence the doctrines for all sort of giving with testimonies accompanying them .
As a base rule for Christianity ,never hinge biblical truth and its validity on human experiences ,whilst our experiences testify, they don't authenticate .
I am a stickler for sane and scriptural interpretation of scriptures .
In bible interpretation there are three key principles ( amongst others ) before laying a bible doctrine:
Firstly , it is written in the scriptures and conspicuous enough all over it
Secondly ,is it well explained ,exegeted and laid down?
The bible isn't a reference material but doctrinal ,that is,it explains itself
2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The term " doctrine " means teaching ,explanation .
Thirdly,is it true in everyday experience .
I will recommend a teaching we have for your diligent study .
" Healing and Material Prosperity in Redemption ". It will give you things to think upon .
I will highlight a few very poignant facts here.
In the four gospels ,Four Major rich men were discussed and none was credited for being a giver .
The Young rich ruler
Mark 10:22-23 KJV
[22] And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. [23] And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
He wasn't a giver .
The Rich Man in Lazarus Story
Luke 16:19,21 KJV
[19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
[21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
He wasn't a giver .
The Rich fool
Luke 12:16,20-21 KJV
[16] And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
[20] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
[21] So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Obviously wasn't a giver .
Jesus parable about giving clearly doesn't lend credence to such teaching as giving is what makes men prosper .
Luke 21:1-4 KJV
[1] And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2] And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3] And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: [4] For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
This is self explanatory .
Joseph of Arimathaea
Mark 15:43 KJV
[43] Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
Obviously influential but not as a result of knowing Jesus,it was in his state of affluence that He met Christ.
Without Doubt the Pauline epistles don't lend credence to this too
I will cite two key scriptures
The Macedonia Church was Pauls example for giving .
2 Corinthians 8:1 KJV
[1] Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
He wrote to Corinth,a much more prosperous church to emulate Macedonia
2 Corinthians 8:2 KJV
[2] How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
Yet Macedonia was experiencing poverty .
It debunks the Theory that givers don't lack .
It's a lie .
Givers lack .But God supplies our needs .
A much more interesting one is the letter and instruction to Timothy .
1 Timothy 6:17 KJV
[17] Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
This is for already wealthy believers.
He is asking Timothy to teach them not to trust in investments ,shares and landed property but in God .
Isn't that interesting?
But what does he mean
1 Timothy 6:18 KJV
[18] That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
They should be givers !
Seriously ? I thought that was the secret ..
1 Timothy 6:19 KJV
[19] Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
For the time to come .The rewards of giving is at the judgment seat of christ .
Jesus said this earlier in a different text
Matthew 6:19-20 KJV
[19] Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
[20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
That means you have treasure first before laying it.He speaks of eternity .
Paul teaches industry preeminently in his epistles
Acts 20:34-35 KJV
[34] Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
[35] I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
1 Thessalonians 2:9 KJV
[9] For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 KJV
[10] For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11] For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
[12] Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
Ephesians 4:28 KJV
[28] Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
This includes preachers of the gospel ,you must work hard too in preaching and teaching
1 Corinthians 9:14 KJV
[14] Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
And be so rewarded
1 Timothy 5:17-18 KJV
[17] Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
18] For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
Galatians 6:6 KJV
[6] Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
That said.
Why then do we give ? I have been asked this several times.
I give one basic answer,To break the hold of selfishness over our lives ,covetousness and greed !
Like I earlier recommended ,get the teaching material" healing and material prosperity in redemption " it is exhaustive .
I believe in material prosperity .
I subscribe to believers enjoying this worlds riches and wealth and more importantly ,purposely use it for the advancement of the gospel .
There is no Devils wealth .
1 Corinthians 10:26 KJV
[26] For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
Only devlish ways ,
The wealth of this earth belongs to our God.
He blesses even the unrighteous
Matthew 5:45 KJV
[45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
That explains why unbelievers are rich .
Bill gates according to scriptures is a fool, for he says " there is no God" alongside warren buffet etc .
But God blessed them .
Just like the rich fool .
Luke 6:35 KJV
[35] But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
God is kind to the ungrateful like Gates,Jobs and Buffet and their kind,
This shows Material Prosperity isn't a proof of faith or spirituality .
It's more preposterous to start merchandizing Gods blessings by asking people to sow for certain blessings like $91 for Psalm 91 blessings .
2 Peter 2:3 KJV
[3] And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
Peter warns us here .
Acts 8:20 KJV
[20] But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
God's blessings aren't for sale .
Matthew 10:8 KJV
[8] ..: freely ye have received, freely give.
The preacher must never sell Gods blessings .
This in no way scares us about wealth .
It's Gods will that we prosper .
3 John 1:2 KJV
[2] Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Matthew 6:32 KJV
[32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seeksmiley for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Be healthy .
Have to give to others .
Luke 5:7 KJV
[7] And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
Give to the gospel .
But we mustn't see a sales purchase contract in this !
If many of believers can think they will know in practical terms the most wealthy aren't Christians .
We must never have such shallow judgements
James 2:1-2 KJV
[1] My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
[2] For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
Wealth says nothing of your spirituality.
It could be industry ,family inheritance ,location ,miracles ,fraud, education etc, which we can find within scriptures.
But to associate wealth with sowing seeds is spiritual illiteracy and living in denial .
My late dad once told me " I couldn't believe the gospel of the Pentecostal for a long time because to tell me I need to be born again and start giving to preachers is an insult on my intelligence ,not at my age "
It's very true.
Some unbelievers take some of our testimonies as a joke when compared with what they own and yet don't believe alike .
I function in the corporate world of business,so I can't " gawk " those lullabies .
Try next door .
We should present prosperity in scriptural terms and stop this casino made seed prosperity .
It's deceit and preacher "friendly ".
And is a disservice to the truth of The Gospel which makes all of Gods blessings freely given and received .
To dear young preachers ,don't allow anyone threaten you with poverty if this isn't your conviction .
They claim your ministry won't go global without these practices
There are several missionary organizations which reach millions without these tricks .
And many other churches in Nigeria too.
For example,Deeper Life Bible Church is in over 80 nations and none of these is found in its shadows .
Don't allow anyone intimidate you .
The Catholic Church has well over 1 billion members and arguably has more wealth than all other churches put together .
Facts speak for itself
Satan uses threats when he wants to manipulate .
God will prosper his work without gimmicks ,fraudulent bible interpretation and manipulation .
I believe God,all your ministries and ours will keep experiencing His provisions and overflow .
Amen.
I call you blessed

100usdaday:
I just wanna say this "What you get comes from what you give."

So, just decide what you want to do.
You shouldn't have that mindset when giving as a Christian.
Give because it's in your nature to give. When you start giving with the mindset of receiving, you're not giving.. You're investing..
Christianity EtcShould I Give To My Pastor Or Just To The Poor Only ? by Perfectbeing(op): 8:42pm On Dec 27, 2019
When you are half baked theologically ,You have a proclivity to talk so loud and assume it's true..
Now hear this ..
"The only giving God honors is for the poor ,rather than pay tithe to a church or pastor ,send it to the poor "
For starters ,the New Testament doesn't teach tithing as giving .
If you need more information on this ,kindly go on livingwordmedia, listen and download the teaching "Bible Doctrine on Tithing ,Tithe "
It's exhaustive and comprehensive.
Kindly don't try to distract this post into arguing the validity of tithing today ,that's answered above ,either you listen to the recommended teaching or you don't get in the way here !
That said .
Is it true we should only give to the poor ?
For starters Jesus taught giving to the poor .
Matthew 25:38-40 KJV
[38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee ? [39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
To the needy and helpless.
He even instructed the rich young ruler on the same
Mark 10:21 KJV
[21] Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Very clear .
The Apostles taught same
Acts 4:35 KJV
[35] And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
Acts 11:29 KJV
[29] Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
Paul was so pointed
Acts 20:34-35 KJV
[34] Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. [35] I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
In his Epistles..
Romans 15:26 KJV
[26] For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
1 Corinthians 16:1 KJV
[1] Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
Galatians 2:10 KJV
[10] Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
Writer of Hebrews
Hebrews 13:2-3 KJV
[2] Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. [3] Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Same as James ..
James 1:27 KJV
[27] Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
John ..
1 John 3:17 KJV
[17] But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
This is very clear ,
It's succinct to note that ,this giving was basically for BELIEVERS!
However ,was this the only kind of giving taught by Jesus and the apostles ?
Was giving only meant for meeting needs of brethren and the poor ?
Let's revisit the same persons again ..
Jesus ..
Matthew 10:10-13 KJV
[10] Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. [11] And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. [12] And when ye come into an house, salute it. [13] And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
This was taught about giving to ministers and with grave consequences.
Matthew 10:41-42 KJV
[41] He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
42] And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
There's a reward for this .
This receiving includes material giving .
He used an Old Testament example which buttresses this too
Luke 4:26 KJV
[26] But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
This widow gave materially to Elijah
1 Kings 17:12 KJV
[12] And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
Honor ,even from the seeming poor woman .She gave and not Elijah .
Jesus taught the poor gave too ..
Luke 21:2-4 KJV
[2] And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. [3] And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: [4] For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
We shall view this later .
Honor was taught as giving to ministers too
This was evident with Jesus
Luke 8:3 KJV
[3] And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
Joanna, whose husband Chusa was Herod's administrator; Susanna; and many other women. They provided financial support for Jesus and his disciples.( Good word translation)
They made available their estate, property and Money for Jesus to use ..
Obviously Jesus's ministry was supported this way .
He had many rich folks who served him with their wealth ..and influence
John 19:2,38-39 KJV
[2] And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, [38] And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. [39] And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight .
This is even in his death !
Earlier a woman extravagantly spent upon Jesus ..
Mark 14:3 KJV
[3] And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
His disciples even grumbled about this ..
Hear Jesus
Mark 14:6-7 KJV
[6] And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. [7] For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
It's a good work even though extravagant in some eyes !
Jesus was not poor and he was well taken care of .
He used others ships ,homes and facilities.
Did the Apostles restrict giving to the poor only ?
Not in anyway ..
Romans 16:2-4,9 KJV
[2] That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
[3] Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
[4] Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. [9] Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
His ministry was supported by many .
In fact ,the influential and wealthy too
Romans 16:23 KJV
[23] Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.
Gaius was obviously a man of means ..
Known to other apostles..
3 John 1:1,5-6 KJV
[1] The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
[5] Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
[6] Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
John .
He was paul's financial supporter, gave to the poor and surely very well to ministers ..
Also Erastus..( Romans 16:23)
Romans 16:23b....Erastus, the city treasurer, sends you his greetings, and so does our brother Quartus.(NLT)
A man of means ,like Minister for Finance
Giving and supporting ministers was well established
1 Corinthians 9:11 KJV
[11] If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
Paul left this rhetoric with Corinth .
In more clearer texts ,he's much stronger on supporting clergy
Galatians 6:6 KJV
[6] Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
who is taught the word should share all his goods with his teach(ISV)
Good things !!!
Also later
In His pastoral epistles
1 Timothy 5:17-18 KJV
[17] Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. [18] For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
Exactly what Jesus taught earlier
What's double honor ?
Elders who handle their duties well should be considered worthy of double compensation, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching. (ISV)
Double is multiples of two.
Honor is price or payment
It means ,you double for your pastor what ever you pay any other person
This definitely will differ per congregation
To some this could be in millions !
It's clear that giving to ministers is well emphasized and taught
Any teaching which despises giving well to our local church pastors isn't of God
We are to esteem them very well
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 KJV
[12] And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; [13] And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
Take note of VERY HIGHLY
Not the poor but the leaders of local churches
This will show also in our material giving
Even the not financial buoyant and those in need are seen to give
2 Corinthians 8:2 KJV
[2] How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
Those who were widows too
1 Timothy 5:10 KJV
[10] Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
See ?
It's not doctrinally correct to teach that giving must be to the poor only
Giving should be encouraged from the poor too
That's the essence of the much twisted text
2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV
[9] For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Grace is to give even when you are in lack !
Not to expect " God to double your giving "
It's just generosity
Give expecting NOTHING
Luke 6:35 KJV
[35] But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
That's Biblical teaching
We must support our leaders well even if they have other sources of income
Philippians 4:10,15-16 KJV
[10] But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. [15] Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. [16] For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
No one should be gagged from giving abundantly to His pastor or teacher
To replace this with giving to the poor is amateur and heretic!
Give to the poor and widows and give DOUBLY to your pastor !
Ensure you have a local church and not some loose canon on social media !
Today ,joyfully support your pastor
Whilst not encouraging money lovers and greedy preachers
1 Peter 5:2 KJV
[2] Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof , not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
This is yet not an excuse to use an abuse to disobey scriptures
And it's very preposterous to generalize and start second guessing your pastor because of some ill willed and bitter ranting of some folks discouraging you from supporting your pastor and honoring him and your local church claiming to give to the poor !
That's not biblical
Give cheerfully to your pastor and Gods reward is yours
Galatians 6:7-10 KJV
[7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. [9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. [10] As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men , especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Is he teaching you the Word and feeding you spiritually?Caring for you and speaking the word over you
Hebrews 13:7,17 KJV
[7] Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
[17] Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
This is your local church .
Don't give up or give in .
Keep giving ,to your teacher and brethren
Gods eternal rewards are yours !
Hope this is clear enough
I call you blessed
Merry Christmas and Remember to send gifts worthy of double honor to your pastor this Season!

And if God is Omnipotent, is he powerless to make himself man?

The teaching of the Grace of God always reveals the hypocrisy in men. It makes you see those who are truly doing what they are doing because they want to do it, and those who are doing what they are doing simply out of fear.
I heard a story about Andrew Wommack.
He had just taught about the grace of God and forgiveness of sins in church. Taught it well according to scriptures.
The next day/Sunday, some of the church members were out there smoking. Andrew was challenged: what you taught last Sunday is the reason our members have started smoking. He replied: what I taught isn't why they started smoking, rather what I taught made them come out openly about what they've been doing all the while that you all never knew (paraphrased).
Nobody suddenly starts smoking because he is taught the grace of God.
The sister wasn't using earring before.
Wasn't fixing her hair.
Wasn't painting her lips and nails.
Wasn't wearing trousers.
Then she hears that all these things don't take people to hell.
And almost immediately.
She begins to do all these things.
You'd look at her and said she's backslided cos she was taught Grace.
You're wrong.
She has been putting up an act all the while.
It's now she is living.
This is what she desires to do in her.
She has been living hypocritically
And thing is, the other sister who is also saying this sister has lost it, somewhere inside her, wants to do the same.
But now that she has come out and shown her colour, you can now correct her excess and teach her modesty.
The brother was a faithful tither.
He'd pay first fruit, second fruit, redemption seed, long life seed, etc.
Then he hears that God doesn't curse.
That tithing is abolished with the law.
He stops giving altogether.
You'd say the preaching made him stop giving.
You're wrong.
The preaching only showed you that he'd not been giving willingly. He was just afraid of devourers and curses.
Now, you get the opportunity to teach him generosity as taught in scriptures. And from his heart, he begins to give again.
The minister should never be afraid of teaching the grace of God.
Is there the tendency that his people will "misbehave"?
Yes.
But it's a good thing.
They are shedding off their scale of hypocrisy.
They are casting off that cloak of fear.
Now you can see them clearly.
Now you can teach them to walk in the Spirit.
Now you can teach them to fashion their desires by the word.
And you'll have people, serving the Lord, not out of fear, but out of love and pure devotion to His cause.

Christianity EtcOn Sin And Addictions by Perfectbeing(op): 12:20pm On Dec 26, 2019
How do you stop a sinful habit as a believer?
By simply stopping it.!
Yes, it's that simple because you're that powerful. You're that powerful against the world, sin, darkness and the devil
Unlike the lost, you have the power to say no to any sinful habit and put an end to it. You do not need a resolution to stop a sinful habit. You need a decision to.
The habit that you are waiting for January 1st to stop is a habit that you are not yet willing to stop. Never become comfortable with a sinful habit. You are the righteousness of God in Christ and sin has no power over you.
Unlike the lost, the unsaved over whom the devil has power and control, the devil has got no power over you. The devil cannot make you sin if you do not decide to sin. The believer sins by choice and not by mistake or because he cannot help it. It's a lie for you to say the reason you sin is because you cannot help it. That's the lie that the devil wants you to believe in order to keep you in a mess. The Spirit of God gives you the power to say no to any sin. So stop saying that you cannot help it because it's a lie. You are lying and you know it. Sin has no hold on you
You can never be helpless before sin and the devil. The devil is the one helpless before you. You are the master, he is the slave. Stop switching offices!
There is no addiction that has power over you. You are not in the world but in Christ. Addictions are not in Christ realities. They are in the world realities. So, stop feeling helpless as if you are truly helpless. How can a man indwelt by the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead with all the weight of all the sin of the entire human race on Him say that he is helpless before any sin? That's the lie of the ages. There is no sin or habit in the world that can hold you down if you do not want to stay down. So stop courting and dating sin and calling it an addiction. Stay true to who you are ;you are God's superman by His mighty indwelling Spirit in you
Child of God, remember whose son you are.
I call you blessed

This is our God,
This is Christmas
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth
Amen!
Every man loves his life and willingly clings to it
But Not the man Jesus!
For he willingly embraced his death knowing in it our life would be found.
He was God becoming man just so he could die like mortal man.
He had to become a man in order to die as that was the only way; death was found in man, man was found in death
Man was subject to death so he became man to subject himself to death
The almighty eternal creator became a babe in a manger
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob allowed himself to be nursed by human hands, unclean hands!
The invisible God became a visible foetus in the womb of a sinner and born as a little baby boy
The all together holy God allowed sinful and wicked hands to carry him in their arms and kiss him with their unclean lips
He permitted 'sinful' men to bless him in the temple as an infant.
Unrighteous men, sinners saw his face and they didn't fall down and die
God went on errands for men and obeyed the instructions of His earthly parents
His hands were not short neither did men's sins separate him from them
He went around the streets of Jerusalem looking for sinful and wicked men to heal and bless
For three and a half years he healed , blessed and associated with men of which none was righteous.
He even chose twelve sinners and ordinary men as his trusted companions
He loved all men!
We saw love put on flesh and walk the streets
He sat down at tables with sinners eating what they ate and been identified with them
God is now a man... full of grace and truth!
Suddenly sinful men cursed him, spat on him, slapped him, stripped him naked and none of them died
Suddenly (though not suddenly for the man who understands the prophets) we see that God doesn't count sin,
suddenly we saw that God doesn't kill men for their sins but dies for men's sins
Men's iniquity couldn't keep him away
Suddenly we saw that God would rather punish himself for man's sins instead of punishing man
This is our God!
All together loving, all together merciful!
His constant thought has always been man. All he's ever done has been with man in mind.
This is our God
This is Christmas
Glory to God in the highest!
Merry Christmas

Christianity EtcJesus' Promise Vs The Devil's by Perfectbeing(op): 2:21pm On Dec 18, 2019
Jesus promised those that serve him eternal life and an inheritance incorruptible, reserved in the heavens for them.
The devil promised those that serve him all the kingdom, power and glory of this world.
So the next time someone says, "it is impossible to serve the Lord and be poor", I hope that now you know who that Lord is?
Christianity EtcGivers Never Lack? by Perfectbeing(op): 2:05pm On Dec 18, 2019
The assertion that givers never lack is gross misunderstanding !
Giving does not exempt the Giver from lack.
Interestingly. the example of GIVING sited by Christ was of a POOR WIDOW (Luke 21:1-4).
We were not told that she became rich afterwards.
The Lord Jesus was right there, He saw her offering and affirmed that it was her ALL; yet He did not pronounce such 'blessings' as:
- "this offering will break the back of poverty in your life". neither did He say
- "tonight is the poorest you'll ever be" or
- "you will never be broke another day in your life".
Saints, there is NO offering that breaks poverty's back (poverty has no such back).
GIVING is not a mechanism for Wealth !
Apostle Paul also sited an example of the Macedonian Church where GIVING is concerned.
They were sandwiched in an interesting mix of DEEP POVERTY and a Great trial of AFFLICTION !
Yet they were Givers !
Paul did not promise them such 'promises' that can best be described as 'outrageous' !
When we look intently in scriptures what we find is that Givers can lack just as non-givers do. Yet God meets both the needs of the giver and the non giver. God doesn't give because we give but because He gives and the biggest giver
Our Giving should not be motivated by greed *sorry* need !
We don't 'sow' a seed to meet a need!
Saints who were in distress were the recipients of the Macedonian Generosity!
They weren't 'sowing up to go up'
They gave WILLINGLY of themselves (2 Corinthians 8:3)
Nobody had to whine them with empty promises!
Believers help each other when in need, just as we learn to trust GOD to meet our needs!
Even Jesus LACKED !
He did not have the resources to feed the multitude in John 6!
He trusted His Father for a MIRACLE !
Notice He never sowed a seed to get that Miracle !
So, dear GIVER!
You may still lack after giving, but never stop trusting God that He will supply your needs through the generosity of other Saints even though that's not the reason you give. Because even when you don't see that generosity from others you'll remain generous still
Let Your giving be an act of GENEROSITY !
It is in your nature already!
Acknowledge that divine influence - that readiness to GIVE just like Our Father does !
You are blessed
