TheGoodJoe:
I am talking about the AFCON which Keshi won. The football we played as the game progressed improved.
With respect to offensive football, Manu Garba and his team really delivered in 2013. Those guys made it look effortless. I agree it is a shame we did not build on such amazing trajectory we had then. i think the failure of our youth players to make it to the big stage is partly due to the failure of our local league. if we had a good league, we will develop these players ourselves and sell them to clubs in the top leagues of Europe like belgium and holland. They will not have to go and rot away in obscure leagues like the Latvian league. They can spend 2 to 5 years in our league and from there to to clubs like twente, Eupen etc. We really need to develop our league. Our talented players are rotting away in obscure leagues because of this. |

chrisooblog: We already have enough decent wingers, rather we add Calvin Bassey Ademola Lukman should replace either of Moses Simon or Ahmed Musa in the wings or attack. Simon lacks motivation for laying for us while Musa is living on past glory |

TheGoodJoe:
You are the one jumping in circles here. The point is simple the coach wants a skill set from his midfielder. How you understand that as the only quality, or the important quality, or attributes of a midfielder is baffling.
It is a skill he wants his midfielder to have. Kelechi Nwakali has the skill. The coach wants to work with him in camp to see if he can bring him up to speed to make the cut.
How that worries you guys baffle me.
The coach has his philosophy and Nwakali has a skill important to him. It is simple. Not only skill. It depends on the playing pattern. Finito. With nwakali a 4 4 2 formation may be possible. He and ndidi can Marshall the midfield. Chidera ejuke can play as a false winger who sometimes comes to the middle. There are many options possible. Look our lack of tactical depth is why Small teams embarrass us. We need nwakali skill set. One small team iwobi a false covid report because they realized that our midfield revolves around him and once he is not there we might struggle to create chances. Other teams can read us like a book and nullify us and nwakali offers something different. I'm tired of this. Club football rating is not everything. Onuachu and Moses Simon made us realize that. Every great team always has a dark horse or surprise player. People here should try and see things our way. Midfield control is fundamental to football and if you can win the midfield you have won 50% of the match. Nwakali offers midfield control and can even make the job easier for iwobi if they play together. Time will prove me right |

humility33: He is now FIFA errand boy and right hand man in Africa. Infantino is very close to him, he even gets to represent him in some occasions... This may put him in a bad light amongst other africa FAs and CAF. He could be a saboteur being that the western countries want a postponement or cancellation of CAF and him being close to thjs western block can be used to achieve this plans
Pinnick is playing a dangerous politics while using the NFF as the ladder to achieve his personal ambition Pinnick supports the move that the world cup should be every 2 years and he is FIFA messenger to Africa on this agenda. I think he is agreeing to the postponment of afcon due to his support for 2 year world cup |

daveP: I'm not going to be suddenly comfortable with enikeni cos of they worked with someone. We can't repeat Rohr mistake. Besides its SE, the big brand here. Names that doesn't look it should not get it. We are suddenly trusting this guy due to the sugarcoating of Mou? I think Pinnick deliberately did this so we Nigerians will overlook sentimentally. Everyone trusting cos its Mou.
Even Pep and Klopp have made silly decisions at a point in time. I dunno why Mou's word is suddenly Platinum here. Not like he understands African football philosophy, etc.
Same old mistake.
Naso dem hype Lagerback with Tactician tag. Baba just dey touchline dey fold ams dey look like Lost Santa Claus.
Never Again!!!! The sports minister should knock some sense into Amaju pinnick. He should be forced to accept Eguavon as the coach to Afcon or nothing else. Caf might even sanction us if we dont submit our final 28 man list on time. Sunday Dare should act fast and stop Amaju pinicks childish, corrupt tantrums |

stevemarkdangot: With the look of things. It seems Eguavon won't be leading the super eagles to the Nations Cup next year. IF IT IS A FOREIGN COACH, IT WILL BE A DISASTER. SUCH A COACH DOES NOT KNOW OUR pLAYERS OR THEIR STRENGTHS. MARK MY WORDS. IT WILL BE LIKE FRANCE 98. A FORMER STAFF IS BETTER WHEN THERE IS NEED FOR EMERGENCY LEADERSHIp. EGUAVON SHOULD TAKE US TO THE NATIONS CUp. THE NEW COACH MIGHT EVEN TRY AND CONVERT CHIDERA EJUKE TO A WING BACK BECAUSE OF SOME IDEOLOGY OF HIS. HE WONT UNDERSTAND OUR pLAYERS |

victornoah: I introduce to you the next SE coach. JOSÉ MORAIS. He should lead us after the nations cup. If he leads us now, he will not succeed as he simply does not know our players or best position. Let us see what Eguavon can do before running after another foreign coach. Secondly, the contract must be examined by lawyers and the sports ministry so it is not another Rohr. It should be a one year contract. I dont trust these foreign coaches. The will simply flatter to deceive. Let Eguavon do whatever he likes. After the nations cup, he can now take over. |
