EGYPT IS A GOOD EXAMPLE.

THE FACT REMAINS THAT YARADUA LEFT IN A HURRY SO HE COULD NOT HAND OVER. (HE WAS  TOO SICK)

THE SENATE DID THE RIGHT THING.

THERE ARE CORRUPT PEOPLE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION

SUCH ONES ARE TO BE FISHED OUT AND JAILED.

EVEN IF YARADUA COMES BACK HE SHOULD BE QUESTIONED IN THE SENATE AND IN MY OPINION IMPEACHED FOR HAVING CORRUPT ADVISERS WHO KEPT LIEING TO THE NATION.

YARADU IS INDIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SITUATION; REMEMBER HE EMPLOYED THOSE CRIMINALS.
With all the awareness around, people still type in all CAPS. Abeg stop it na.

thats your own experience so speak for yourself. 18hr flights? since when?
usually flying to Nigeria the plane is always half full. well at least from my experience and probably the time of year i decided to travel.
not a lot of people are flying to naija, so the plane was like half empty/half full.
Yes oo. It depends on your destination. My initial destination was houston after which i left for Newark.

Paris to Houston was 11hours, Lagos to Paris was ~7hours. I waited in Paris for 3 hours.!!
And yeah, i travelled during the peak period.

Is this guy for real? Relax, stop being so condescending- this stuff is getting way into your head. I was just surprised that you got a spring admission which is typically not possible- you should simply have said deferred. Then you made the claim that you were the first to get a full ride at princeton, which is not true- you did not do research before you opened your silly mouth making a false claim. Moreover, at least if you are at princeton you should know that there are lots of Nigerian-americans there (Considering the fact that it is in Dirty Jersey which has a large Nigerian population). And dont be silly enough to ask me about deferred admissions- lol, I should just even avoid responding to your comments.

Rain abuses all you want it would just make you look like an idiot. I remember this Nigerian kid who got a fullride at princeton with a perfect SAT score- at the end of the day most people called him silly because of his foolish attitude; he did not get a job or anything and his education was wasted.
And your point is.
So far you are the only one that has abused anyone.
If you didn't have bad belle, why bring up an issue that is about 10 pages back on this thread.
We were talking about spring break and here you are trying to bring somebody down.
You were simply trying to tell people that i am just deceiving people here. You are the one that is really silly. Whether you like it or not, i am living my dream. If people say i am immature, i don't know what to call you because you have just shown that i have one over you.
Why the bad belle na. Did you have to let everyone know that you applied to princeton during your days. Omo see EGO oo

@ Topic, yes, you will be allowed to carry 2 bags not weighing not more than 46kg, anything above that wuld be regarded as excess.

N.B- Airline baggage restrictions do change from time to time!!!
They have a partner share agreement. If you choose a direct delta flight from LOS to ATL, they will not put you on the Air france flight.

Trust me, they will pack you like SARDINES. The seats are small and most naija flights are always full.
It's not worth it if you have to fly for 18hrs
I'd rather be packed like sardines in delta and fly for for just 12hrs.

The guy claimed he was the first Nigerian to get a full ride at Princeton. Big fat lie though- maybe in his time but not while I was applying to undergrad. I at least have heard of three people from Nigeria who had full rides to princeton- the problem is that some did their A-levels in the UK on scholarship and then moved to Princeton.

But congratulations on princeton though I did not know they had spring admissions for undergraduate. Things might have changed during my years.
Many people have gone this path in the past, and i have been advised to refrain from getting tensed. Are you trying to prove the authenticty of my admission or what. If i wasn't the first to get a full ride, then so be it. Thats what i thought at least. If you got ur full ride and didn't attend that is ur problem. If you don't know anything about the current situation, why not confirm rather than trying to start rubbish on here. Don't start nuttin won't be nuttin. Ever heard of deffered admission by the way. Don't get me wrong oo. I am not getting tensed or angry or anything like that. It's just that we tend to generalize too quickly. I have been to two different states already and all i can say is Yankee is different for everyone from state to state. I went to Houston and Dallas recently and somebody almost "put a stone in my mouth". I opened my mouth in amazement. The road network in Houston is marvellous. Bridge and flyover just dey mix like pounded yam. My point is that, most people will not talk about things like this because they expect it to be the "norm", hence the "hype" about yankee. The minute we see bad things, we start saying yankee is/has not lived up to the hype.

Rather than ranting, you lot should be shouting and looking for ways to remove your senators and representatives. They have failed us. Yaradua's cabinet should not be able to take the nation for a ride. That is why we have representatives.
Yaradua should have been impeached after no one heard anything from him for 2 weeks.
The question we need to ask is why our representatives have waited this long. We all look like fools now. Yaradua's cabinet is basically saying we will wait till whenever Yaradua recovers. Nigerians can wait for him since we can't do anything about it. Shameful nation.
After we will claim that Nigerians are smart, bright and educated. We are the dullest set of people in the world.
Of what use is our education if we can be taken for a ride like a bunch of baboons. Sad nation, Dumb people. Dora take note.

The biggest irony here is not the clueless Americans, its the brainless Nigerians who cant even use their God given brain to reason. Be a Human being and reason for christ sake.

Mutallab was a decent good boy when he left Nigeria, ( even though he attended "Isamlist" school) It was while he was in the UK that he was radicalised. It is reported that he then travelled to Yemen where he met Anwar al-Awlaki the same American Terrorist dude linked with to a gunman who ran amok in a US army base in Texas in Nov, killing 13 pple. The UK has more radicals and Terrorist than Nigeria. And facts have showed the more US and UK citizens have been involved in Terror attack than Nigerians. The only one as of yet is Mutallab. How come is Nigeria on a terror list. What evidence does the CIA have about Nigeria. Was this not the same CIA that said Iraq had Weapons of mass destruction.

I have some question for the CIA. How come Mutallab was giving a US visa ( we all know how hard it is to get one ) after he dad warned them of the extremist views of his son.

How did a guy who is suppose to be on terror watch list obtain a visa and even got on a plane?

You say your war is on terror not Islam, but all we always hear is that Islamic schools should be closed. And most Muslims are targetted and mistreated in your country.

Why do you call Terrorist Islamist and in the same vain claim that Islam does not encourage Terrorism. We have a group called the Lords Resistant Army in Urganda. There kill people and Turn childrens to child soldiers. There claim to be Inspired By Christ. I dont see them called Christainist group. Even the KKK use the bible to Legitimise their claims. even Nazi is founded on chritian Values I dont see does being called Islamist .

What makes an Islamist?

How come UK is not in the List of countries Blacklisted? even though most active Terror cells is in Europe?
If you did proper research most of your questions would have been answered. Are you on this same earth that we are on. Your questions have been answered since 1900.

The boy got his visa in 2008. His father reported him in 2009. Are you satisfied now.
To the people asking why the UK is not on a list of blacklisted countries. Come on now!!!!!! Are you for real. Quit being childish.

Don't mind the US embassy in Lagos/Abj, if this would be suicide bomber is an ordinary Nigerian citizen they won't give him visa but because his father is a big man he got the visa so easily, Tha fact remains that the US visa policy of awarding visa based on the state of mind of the visa officer rather than conducting proper interview and checks will enable many others to slip through the net,

if this bloke has been properly interview they could have got a clue of his intention from the interview, they gave him a visa to attend a religious conference in the US and they didn't even bother to ascertain what the conference is all about,

what bothers me most is just the fact that Nigeria's already battered image has been badly damaged again, these people will now make our journey more difficult because its very easy for them to label Nigerians so quickly despite the fact that many other countries UK inclusive probably have more potential suicide bombers than Nigeria

Heck, american airlines now charge passengers for checked luggage. Can you beat that.

It is not news that people returning from abroad are targetted. There are stories of people that left nigeria decades ago, came back to the country and were assassinated.
Of course you can wear watches and carry expensive phones in Nigeria. At least if you live in the nice places in Lagos. Most of the people commenting probably live in Lekki and environs. If you live in other places in Lagos, you dare not flash your expensive phone.
There is a reason cellphones are the next business initiative in Lagos. Most people that use expensive phones change them at least once in 6 months ( reason : hold up theft, various kinds of theft and on occasion, dropping of the phone)
Anyway, be careful in lagos. If you must go to the rugged parts of lagos, go there during the day. If you stay on the ISLAND you can flex all you want day and night. The mainland is a different ball game. Crime as gone down but it is still Lagos.
A 4yr old boy was just kidnapped in Lagos recently. Just make sure you watch ur back and be street smart.

Let companies generate power and decide who they want to supply to. Let retail distributors buy their own transformers and distribution cables then determine who they want to service. If this is done, we will have uninterrupted power in 2yrs time.
PoliticsRe: Aero Contractor Airlines Now Sell Snacks On Board Flight, Due Economic Meltdown. by phuckNL: 10:42am On Dec 17, 2009
It is sad that a lot of you are missing the real point here. Haba. What they have done is simply a cost cutting measure. Whether you like it or not, the free snacks and drinks you receive on board costs the company a lot of money. You may think it is not much but multiply the cost of snacks for an average flight of 50 -100 people per flight x2 daily and then multiply for the whole year and you will know it is money they can do away with.

They are not trying to make profit from snack selling. I see it as customer service sef. They know customers have been accustomed to free snacks so they have inculded it for sale if you feel you must eat on a 45 minute flight!.
They are not forcing you to buy it. Short haul flights dont include snacks in most countries all over the world so i guess Nigerians have been pampered over time. They probably had to do it earlier in order to reel customers in since air travel has always been lowly favoured by we nigerians. Now, air travel is the way to go unless you want to contend with armed robbers, rivers on roads, kidnappings and trigger happy police officers on our death trap roads.

God forbid! After giving him so much?
He should be the one paying for everything i ask for
Here's the big problem with Nigerian girls. "Giving him so much". My dear, you are not doing him any favour. BOTH OF YOU HAVEN GIVEN YOURSELVES SOMETHING. It's funny when women assume they are giving it up. What you forget is that the man is also giving you his "kini" as well.

Until you show me the section in the Nigerian constitution that says a man should pay for everything, i demand that Nigerian women start paying up if they really think they are strong and independent.
