We should give Mainz a guard of honor the next time we play them fr. Those guys are the real champions. Some of their players actually confessed to wanting Dortmund to win the league. They could have just rolled over. They had nothing to play for. They were on a 4-game losing streak to relegation candidates like Schalke and Stuttgart. And they still turned up for us. God bless those guys! We suppose wire them something. Even if na small change ![]() |
Ballzproblem2:This guy ehn I go like meet your dealer ![]() |
Is Balde still winning the Golden Boy award, andrew444? Make I see how una wan take rob this one. |
Omo, I don't want to ever go through this kain stress again. Those fools just wan kill person. All is not forgiven sha. Heads must roll starting with Kahn's sacking and a massive squad overhaul in the summer. |
Musiala Omo Ologo. Golden Boy. |
Mogbe Mo daran. Gnabry, you don kill me! |
These people won't score now, until Upamecano sell match. They should be pumping Koln full of goals right now. |
andrew444:Yep. They are only balancing things with Dortmund Tuchel na their ex-coach, so that one sef dey. |
andrew444:But, guess who dem beat last before those losses ![]() |
Fitting that Coman scored Bayern's first goal today. Guy dey fight for his own personal streak of winning a league title every season since he turned professional. |
My mind never dey at rest sha. Na Bundesliga be this. Home of ping pong ball. Make Mainz no lose guard oh! Those bastards playing at Koln should find the second goal and kill off that game as quickly as possible. |
My Oh My!! ![]() |
Capaldi:Happy Children's day, my guy ![]() |
Capaldi:Lmao. You are shameless. A secondary school student would put up a better defence in favor of Abraham. Is 29,30 anywhere near 43? Wetin your Abraham do at the same level with the same calibre of teams? Abraham wey no fit even sniff England bench. Dem go call Wilson, Watkins before dem even remember am. Mitrovic is a starter and record goalscorer for a team that parades a Juventus striker, and an ex-Real Madrid forward, ![]() Mitrovic wey wan give Ororo HBP Balkan Balotelli First Son of Belgrade, you no dey fear! |
Capaldi:Lol. Person score 43 goals, a season record, e dey mention 29, 30. Bring out Abraham Championship numbers, make we compare. Of course, goals in the EPL carry more weight than ones in the Championship. You are comparing the stats of Abraham who played for Chelsea and Roma, top clubs in England and Italy to someone who played for relegation teams in Newcastle and Fulham. For the first time in his EPL career, Mitrovic is playing in a half-decent attacking team and the results are there for everyone to see, averaging more than a goal every 2 games including goals against multiple top 6 sides. I no even wan go international level, cos that one na no-contest. Abeg, make Abraham shift for where Mitrovic dey. |
Capaldi:Abraham better than Mitrovic? In what universe? My brother, put down that joint. When Abraham hits 40+ goals in a season at any level at all, we can start having this discussion. |
Capaldi:Lmao. I knew someone was going to say something like this. I won't mind Mitrovic at Bayern. In fact, I would take him over someone like Kolo Muani in a heartbeat. Far cheaper and a better goalscorer but our Brazzo no too get sense like that. The only drawback is his age and his brain wey dey touch. Mitrovic go score tire for Bundesliga with adequate service. |
https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/transfer-news/chelsea-will-make-move-for-unbelievable-22m-pl-striker-hes-scored-52-goals-for-his-country-journalist/ Na me write this article, walahi! |
Funny how I was discussing Mitrovic as a potential target to a Chelsea friend earlier today only to see rumors linking him with the club some hours later. That guy dey tailor-made for una. He ticks all the boxes for a Chelsea no 9. Even the agbero spirit dey him body. Dude could turn out to be Costa 2.0. He is seemingly in his prime and looks to have finally hacked the league. Strong hold up play, deadly header of the ball, prolific goalscorer at different levels and he's dirt cheap in a market with no so many quality options. I'm surprised Chelsea are not all over him. |
timbros:I think say na only me see am Baba no mention Mbappe and Fabinho. Although, Falcao was already washed-up at that point and Moutinho na old man now. |
We can blame the board and Tuchel all we want and rightfully so but these players are the biggest culprits. The lack of fight and desire is appalling. We've seen that time and time again this season. Those players should hang their head in shame. Every one of them. That second half was one of the worst i've seen from the team. They just switched off. The three goals conceded were all preventable. The first goal was the most annoying, losing the ball from your own corner and no tactical foul to stop the counter. The number of penalties we've conceded this season is quite alarming. I bet it's in double figures. Not to mention the other glaring errors. You can't blame Tuchel for that. That Sommer sef no fit even try catch one PK. IF BVB wins today, it's all over. They don't deserve to win the league, but we are even more unworthy. |
AUNafada:Correction: Andrea Bazargli x Andrea Petagna, Paul Pogba x Breel Embolo. You can thank me later ![]() |
Ibime:Rodri is playing and winning the ball higher up the pitch than Fernandinho used to so it's normal if he gets caught out and can't get back in time. It's all part of the job. But how many times has that happened for you to recognise it as a key weakness in his game?Pep understands that while Rodri and Fernandinho have similar profiles, they are different players. Fernandinho is the better disruptor, Rodri is better at ball progression. So, Rodri's interpretation of the no. 6 role is not what you would expect from Fernandinho, even though the basics are the same. You can't treat the difference in defensive numbers which isn't sizeable by the way, in isolation without considering other variables such as personnel in Defense which has changed from time to time, etc. That is another thing entirely. The easiest way would be to just judge by league ranking, which by the look of things, not much has changed. The deviation is perfectly normal. City are still a Top 2 Defense team for the most part in terms of goals conceded, clean sheets, shots conceded, XGconceded etc. |
A001:Bros, dey calm down nau. The fact that Inter has 3 CL titles doesn't count for much. They haven't played a CL final since 2010. Heck, until this season they haven't made a CL QF in 12 odd years. They have only made it this far partly because of the luck of the draw. The gulf in quality between City and Inter is sizeable and it would be quite the upset if Inter wins the final Would Inter have made a list of top 8 teams to win the CL at the start of the season? The answer's NO. |
I think A001 is right to a larger extent. The tags 'Favourites" and "underdogs" are not polar opposites, and are not necessarily mutually inclusive. That Team A are favorites in a match doesn't necessarily mean Team B is an underdog. Real Madrid will never be underdogs in a CL tie. They may not be favorites but they will never be underdogs. Odds are nothing more than probabilities and a good Maths student knows it's not a guarantee of success or a definite outcome. Inter will definitely be underdogs against City in the final though. Everything points to that. |
I was actually handing Ibime a lifeline on Rodri and the Robust DM issue but Baba no wan gree ![]() Rodri is actually a Robust DM, if we are being honest here. He has the right mix of physicality and aggression. The man is a tank at 6'2, strong in duels and regularly uses his size in shielding and retaining the ball. Na my own be that. I wonder if Ibime can offer some clarification on what the qualities of a Robust DM are, so we can identify and differentiate them from the weakling DMs ![]() |
But Ibime, you suppose at least contest your Robust DM L small nau or abi Rodri no dey robust enough ni? ![]() But you deserve one small konk for dissing the man sha. No Rodri slander will be tolerated henceforth. |
MorataFC:Who are these people, if I may ask Pep's Village People? Yaya Toure's Babalawo?? ![]() There is no rule that says Pep cannot win both the CL and PL in one season. There is no factual evidence supporting this. Just superstitions. |
andrew444:It's highly unlikely but he's done it before this season. I think, against Liverpool at Anfield. But Camavinga balled yesterday and it will be an injustice if he doesn't start next week. Over to you, Don Carlo. |
