Grammatically, by structure, you can't start a sentence with the word 'them' There are two sets of the personal pronouns - The subject pronouns and the object pronouns. The subject pronouns indicate who or what the sentence is talking about. Also, it shows who acts in the sentence. They are: I, he,she, you, we, they and it. Any of these pronouns can start a sentence. E.g. Jeff and Sally played basketball after school. (They) My mum and I enjoyed gardening. (We) The mountainside is covered in blue flowers. (It) The object pronouns receive the action done by the subject and they're found in the predicate. E.g. Failing the test was the worst thing that could happen to Janet. (Her) A huge rock rolled down the hill and nearly hit John and me. (Us) This instruction manual belongs with the TV set. (It) Going by the aforementioned dear OP, to begin a sentence with 'them' is ungrammatical. |
Ekakamba:Imagine, somebody came to you and said you ain't the father and in between, miracle happened, water turned to wine, the child suddenly turned to yours, Ah! No be juju be that! OP your brother suppose don sense foul play from that moment. This is what the elders call: Àfọwọ́fà l'ón pa èkúté ilé. He should just move on. |
WhisperedNoise:Although I know some of his songs because hit songs have a way of finding their ways to your hearing - on the streets, on radio, on TV etc. I couldn't put a face or any name to the songs. I took keen interest in one of his songs, "Ask about me" exactly two days to his death. As usual, I didn't know the artist but I love the deep voice. I kept a line of the song in my head and said I'd discuss the song with my multi-instrumentalist husband. Since I know a line, I can always get the song on the internet. Then I forgot all about the song; a lot of stuff going on on my mind.... It wasn't until 2 days later I saw it everywhere that a certain Mohbad is dead. An OAP was announcing on the radio and he decided to play one of his songs. Behold! It was the same song I wanted to share with my husband. This was when I lost it. I don't understand the connection but it's like I've known him all through the years. It was really painful I won't lie. 48 hours is too short a moment to know such an enigma. I hope your family gets closure. #justiceforMohbad! |
OBTOREPA:Awww! She's well above. |
Zupay:Wow! That's incredible! |

OBTOREPA:I have a friend, an older friend who is unmarried. She may be too old for you is the problem. Many men disturb me, I wish it were her. |
I hope this woman will be safe for coming out boldly like this. She's dressed like she's in a frat too. What do I know even? |
OBTOREPA:Married. Happily. |
Kobojunkie:Two wrongs don't make a right! No be me invent that saying. I totally agree with the saying. Mind you, I no dey mood for your blind argument today biko. |
Gbegen! A woman should never retaliate by cheating back. She already has cheating hormones inside her, that excuse doesn't suffice. What happened to walking away if you can no longer stomach it? |
Hmmmnn! #3500. I remember when I used to ply that route, from Ilorin to lbadan used to be between ₦80 - ₦120. |
Kenmatt:Hmmmnn! Edwin van der Sar days come to mind. |
ruggedtimi:Abeg make dem no recover. Let the promo continue ![]() |
Galaxydon1:You were making sense at first before you decide to go the Yoruba Ibo way. Don't insult the Yorubas, we are not nincompoops. Don't let me change it for you! |
OBTOREPA: ![]() |
Ballzproblem2:It's possible. While I was still dating, I don't ask for money. Maybe I woulda asked if I dated a tightfisted guy(s) I have my self esteem to protect and it's very high, gbagbe! People I date see a need and just fill in the gap of their own volition. I'll never be at the mercy of any man, the reason why I always campaign that women should work and earn their own money. |
OBTOREPA:I'm taken! |
DiskJokeyManic:Why are you like this? Because he said somebody gave him money x5; Must you? Mr. Pukkalolo, how come I'm just coming across this moniker for the very first time? |
OBTOREPA:Yes Kogites. We are beautiful like that. |
Wordson:Plus it's a Derby. We need to win that game. It'll be a message, strong one to our competitors. |
Chasito:It's what it is. Somebody said something before he responded to him. Ibos like to court trouble. Who wouldn't feel for those people? He doesn't have to bring bigotry into this. |
Chasito:You must know that he has a conscience. One nincompoop, probably one of your brothers, said something senseless before he got his apt reply. I commiserate with the Alaba shop owners for this loss. May God ease their burden. |
successmatters:Ah E ku oriire then. Congratulations! Take the next C N Okoli and port na! |
NwaNimo1:You need the freedom more. |
Ajehkpako4naija:You are a son of perdition. You will soon meet your waterloo if you don't desist from your hatred and self aggrandizement. |
Ajehkpako4naija:I was at a burial yesterday. The deceased was a Yoruba woman. During tributes, a certain Igbo group came around and the microphone was handed to their spokesperson. She sang the praise of the deceased to high heavens. They call themselves the Falomo Ndiigbo community. The deceased was instrumental to building the Police Officers Women Association shops at Falomo. According to her, she was a mother, advisor, companion, problem solver, many things. They are Igbo, she was Yoruba, yet they bonded and blended well. People like you cannot reach the top cause you encumber yourself with too many cloaks of hatred, dissent, contempt, jealousy and foolhardiness. One day, you will know better. |
Acekidc4:Forgive gini? Lailai, this promo must last o! |
Emmanuel30a:What exactly is this about? Did i miss something? |
Badguy77:Yes o. My bf then, now hubby will come visit freely, my mum will even entertain him. She'd insist he eats something. He comes even when I'm far away in school, my mum said he didn't have to come only when I'm around. They, hubby and mum, used that period I was away to bond. Till tomorrow, they're a pair, you can't get between them. My dad will even take him out as 'boys' to go drink together, I used to laugh at them. And on my part, I do tell my mum I was going to his place to go visit him. Whenever we have outings like a date or something, I do tell her. No sneaking-sneaking. My mum encouraged me to bring my date(s) home so she'd know who to hold if anything.... |
