DeepSight:
No, it doesn't presume that: how does it?

Being irreligious is just that: not subscribing to any religion. It in no way insinuates any suggestion of accepting that being religious is a default state.
It's similar to asking you if you describe yourself as a non-clown or an un-insane person. It presumes that both tendencies are the default states.

Tell me Plaetton, which describes you better, an irreligious person, or a godless person?
Neither.

I am a natural, free, mentally SOVEREIGN human being.

Both Religion and god are artificial, man-made constructs.

I refuse to define myself within those shallow, superficial boundaries.

For example, to define myself as GODLESS , I would first have to acknowledge that there is such a thing as god,..and I don't.

I cannot have less of what doesn't exist,..at least in my universe.

Likewise, to say that I am IRRELIGIOUS is to presume that being religious is a natural default state,.. which it is not.

What do these politicians take us for for goodness sake?
First lesson in entering politics is to understand that the masses are not as sensible as they give themselves credit for.
In fact, the masses are dumb like sheep.

The Masses approach political voting in the same manner they choose their churches and mosques; with irrational emotions.
No wonder that they seldom make sensible choices during elections.

Any politician who understands this very well will take advantage and feed the dumb masses with carefully choreographed sound bytes and empty platitudes.
That is what wins elections these days. undecided

@op,
Since you have found god, that's not the end of the road though.
Nope. smiley

Since God and Jesus are Father, son and one, the divine arithmetic, then issue of finding Jesus is also settled.

However, there remains this pesky issue of the Anti-christ , and properly identifying him or it.

Jesus supposedly said " the kingdom of God is within you ", a fact that you just realized yourself.
So, the obvious question is ;
Who has been deceiving and telling the world that the kingdom of god is outside of you, in the sky, some even say outside the boundaries of space and time ? huh

Who has been peddling and vastly profiting from this most egregious falsehood for many millennia ? huh

Find that institution of fraud and falsehood, find this harlot that ensnares the hearts and minds of men , and therein lies the Anti-christ.

God bless you Mr Sensible man, am happy you used the word 'smuggling ' which I believe u literally know the meaning. so you would because the cost of rice in the market is high then legalize stealing it? am no fan of any politician but truth be told, if we keep on encouraging smuggling goods how then are gonna build, maintain seaports, you've been clamoring for more seaports, what then is the essence.you envy Americans,Asians,Europes but u don't bother to care what they passed through before they get where they are today.if we must grow Nigeria economy, drastic measures must be carried, this is one of them. you build your own economy not others, encourage local manufacturers,etc.. Nigerians we must suffer little for posterity to enjoy more, many that suffered, fought to make sure u are enjoying the peace in Nigeria today are no more, but they have left legacies, posterity now celebrates them. tnk u
I don't know from.what angle you have read my.posts here.
Let me put it in another way.

The economy, demand and supply, the market place, commerce does not yield to brooms and sticks. It yields to good , consistent policy.
Water must find it's level. Same with money, capital and commerce.
Command and control doesn't work.
It has never worked,. Not for America, not for Europe, not for any Asian economy.

Streamline the ports, and customs for efficient service delivery at reasonable costs, and VIOLA! You attract both domestic and foreign user.
Simple.

This present measure will only create many more multi millionaires and billionaires in the customs and border agencies.
You know this to be fact.

Thanks once again for exposing your cattle brain here in public.
I am always shocked to see how some people think in very narrow terms.
The fact that importers are willing to pay duty twice tells you, no, is yelling at you, and underscores the rottenness of our port system. That is the market forces talking to you, yelling at you.
But of course, you have permanent ear infection, so you just cannot get the message.

You're also among those that have made a sensless contribution or how do you make your ports more efficient when all you do is smuggling cars in...
If you had any sense, you would know or would have been able to discern that the corruption, the gross inefficiency, the outrageous cost in time and money to clear goods at the ports is the number reason that people turn to smuggling goods through alternative means.

Its a shame if this story is true.

Why can't he just make our ports competitive instead of trying to ban importation of cars through our land borders?

It won't work. Itll only make Customs officers richer
Thank you jare.
You are among the few that have made a sensible contribution.

Bubu, or mumu(a better description) doesn't ever understand how markets and commerce work. And that's the fundamental problem.

He doesn't understand that cow herding and regular commerce don't operate in the same way with sticks and koboko.

Make Nigerian ports more efficient , friendly and competitive, and viola! The market would respond commensurately.

You did not quote the right verse.
Please beware of abusing my scripture.

This is the verse that should caution you:

"For the usurper knoweth himself: the deceitful diviner of our word: and for this man and his disciples: lo! - Aiyelala! A most terrible spectre I beheld: exile from the word: and its fruits thereof: and it was seen in the seven realms that there could be no more terrible a thing upon the Earth."

~ Per Cap 18, Article 18

On Fury & Punishment

I should also draw your attention to Article 19:

"And in suddenness he seized from the usurper his soul and verily: the meeting he had planned: in suddenness a great woe which could not be comprehended arose and became a leech upon the usurper and the soul of his meeting."

As such, be warned.

As a church goer, have you noticed and wondered why Christians love big English words and convoluted phrases when praying to their God ?

It almost seems like the bigger the words and and the more convoluted the phrases in prayer, the more powerful and most likely to reach God's abode on the outskirts of the universe.

But gosh, the Bullshytes became overwhelming. I could hardly contain myself.
My wife's pastor is a narcissistic axxhole, who reads dictionary in the night, and then comes to the pulpit on Sundays to intimidate his sheeple with meaningless verbiage. I personally think he is mildly insane. It goes with the territory.

Anyway, the Bullshytes grew too much for me. My irritation could no longer hold.
