slightlyMad:
1. see the store image below, observe it's distance to the road side, How will a sales person allow anyone walk out of that store with phones worth 2 million naira? what if a bike is waiting out whisk the customer away?
i have made heavy purchases at computer village many times and trust me, when you buy 2 million naira worth of phones, the sales person will help you to your car with the phones, especially when you are yet to pay for it.

2. When you need to pay 2 million naira in this recession period, you will never listen to any campaign about getting it for you in "my" car
You will rather ask that he brings the money over first, not even with seun egbegbe's hungry-man looks

3. Someone of that "celebrity" status will likely not head to computer village with the intention of stealing 2 million naira worth of phones.

4. If you are caught in such act in lagos, Thou shall not take my pictures is the last thing on your mind, trust me. you will be more concerned about fuel and matches

5. Lagosians will never "touch you small" when caught with 2 million naira worth of stolen goods, you will receive serious beatings.
Even is they dont beat you as a celeb, they will ALL be nakid including the never-talked-about and free-walking accomplices who tried to drive him away

6. maybe he "pocketed" one iphone during negotiations and sales person figured when they were about leaving and then raised an alarm
during the beating, someone then suggested, lets give him all the phones in the store and snap him.

7. Let's not rule out this being a case of negotiations gone sour, you know when you price something very hard and refuse to produce the cash.
in this recession period.

8. a setup.
Why I think this post is silly and lacking in common sense.

What I read from Hardmirror's piece was " died of complications from fasting ".

In Hardmirror's defense, I would say that statement was most likely his own CONJECTURE, and NOT NECESSARILY a lie.

I know a few people who have passed away, whom in my own personal opinion, could have died of FASTING- related complications. That would my own CONJECTURE, might be true, by not factual.

Have you seen or eaten any of these so-called plastic rice before ?
Do you personally know of anyone who has ?

Elementary biology and common sense should tell you that our bodies cannot digest plastics.
Besides, rice has a certain density, far greater than plastics.
The equivalent kilograms of a bag of plastic rice would be at least 3 the size of the same weight of natural rice.
Therefore, it is impossible to pass on plastics as food.

That was the basis. So, rephrase!
Oh, I followed quite alright.

And my response was very appropriate.

For years in this forum, we have been trying to educate you folks on the meaning of atheism, but the religious virus, the religious firewall inside your heads just won't let it filter through.

You choose to define atheism only on your own terms, and as it suits you. That's why having sensible discussions with most you is like romancing a Stone. No common grounds.

Atheism is not a rebellion or rejection of god.
It is an ACCEPTANCE that there is no such thing as god.
And as you can read from this thread and many many threads from NEW atheists, it is always a gradual, slow, lonely, even frightening process of MENTAL Auditing, realization and ACCEPTANCE.

An excellent example of FAKE NEWS and Mass hysteria.

No one, not a single poster has asked the very very important questions.

What is the name of this Woman ?
Where and on what date this event take place ?
What scientific tests were done on the rice to determine that it was not natural rice ?
Did she report to NAFDAC , Any major media or any government Agency ?

Where is the proof that this video was made in Nigeria ?

Is there a living person that can testify that they have purchased or ingested or discovered what they believed to be FAKE RICE ?

The human digestive system cannot digest plastics and other inorganic substances. This is elementary school science.

The period of doubt

Silence and soberity isn't empty it's full of answers.......... Anonymous

Do not seek truth by men, first know the truth and you will know it's adherent.... Imam ali

My moment of doubt started during a long holiday, we had in my third year at the university. Every member of the house will leave, which makes me the only person staying at home . Before people will start thinking am lonely and sad and probably suggest that for the main reason for my atheism, let it be known that am used to been alone and am obsessed with reading, most especially philosophical books. It is through these books and a large amount of self contemplation that the doubt became intense. I had so many questions my religion can not answer. I was convinced logically that there is no God but I held back because of testimonies of personal experience and miracles I had always heard. But on thinking deeper I realised I haven't witnessed any of these things first hand, I had only heard them from ear say, to put it in a more concise way I had never seen or experience anything that goes against the natural laws of nature. I prayed earnestly for God to revealed himself but I felt nothing, I became so worried and my anxiety increased. I later reasoned that the only option I had left to contact God is the Quran and I have heard so many occasions and boastful remarks about the Quran. It is believed that it won't burn when in contact with fire. On a hot afternoon in the corner of my room, I prayed and told God this is the last chance he had to prove himself to me. I tore the first page of suratul yasin roll it, and light it up. Am sure u can guess what happened next (might post the pictures if u guys need it) . After that incident I resolved never to have anything to do again with God, religion, and spirituality again. I still held Islam and it's teaching In great esteem, but after the incident I began to see Islam from another perspective; it's totalitarian and intolerant nature, it's hostility against democracy, science and philosophy, the reduction of women to sex object, and the reduction of every contact between a male and a female to sex, the concept of good and evil, and of Paradise and hell and lastly the superiority and the infallibility of the Quran.

I would definitely talk about all this aspect of Islam but the time is what am lacking. Am still a university student, so I have to share my time and do what is right in time. I just hope u can all bear with me

"But admitting for the sake of a case, that something has been revealed to a
certain person, and not revealed to any other person, it is revelation to that
person only. When he tells it to a second person, a second to a third, a third
to a fourth, and so on, it ceases to be revelation to all those persons. It is
revelation to the first person only, and hearsay to every other, and consequently
they are not obliged to believe it.
It is a contradiction in terms and ideas, to call anything a revelation that
comes to us at second-hand, either verbally or in writing. Revelation is necessarily
limited to the first communication—after this it is only an account of something
which that person says was a revelation made to him; and though he may
find himself obliged to believe it, it cannot be incumbent on me to believe it
in the same manner; for it was not a revelation made to me, and 1 have only
his word for it that it was made to him. When Moses told the children of
Israel that he received the two tables of the commandments from the hands
of God, they were not obliged to believe him, because they had no other authority
for it than his telling them so; and I have no other authority for it than some
historian telling me so. The commandments carry no internal evidence of divinity
with them; they contain some good moral precepts, such as any man qualified
to be a lawgiver, or legislator, could produce himself, without having recourse
to supernatural intervention.
When I am told that the Koran was written in heaven and brought to
Mahomet by an angel, the account comes too near the same kind of hearsay
evidence and second-hand authority as the former. 1 did not see the angel myself
and, therefore, I have a right not to believe it"...............Thomas Paine. The age of reason

Atheism is a state of having NO God before you.
Literally, God is denied as NOT existing or is Miniscule while Self is placed above any one called God.

When you deny the authority of your Kabiesi and they ask you the name of your king, you will reply, "I have no king". This you will do even when this so called king is seated on the throne before you.

Atheism is the replacement of God with the god of Self!

It is called in modern English DEFIANCE!
Foolish reasoning, as usual.

You can't defy an imaginary kabiesi .
You can only rebel against something or someone that you know is real, not an imaginary or mythical character.

I see much ignorance, so much bile, so much bad Belle here.
This witch hunt and trial by media of the former first lady is not only disgusting ,by very very cowardly.

The effcc reasons that PEJ is a political nobody, so they are at liberty to drag her through the mud just the feed the irrational appetite of their legions of Zombies looking for a scapegoat for this government's monumental incompetence.

So far throughout all these humiliating ordeals in the hands of the effcc and the Media, not a single charge of stealing public funds has been leveled against PEJ.

All I here are oohs and aahhs about the millions of dollars in her account, as if that itself was a capital crime in this country.

Well, for those who are ignorant or simply have a bad memory, let me remind all of you of an incident that I remember vividly that occurred long before GEJ became president.

When GEJ was still deputy governor of Bayelsa State, PEJ was intercepted at Port Harcourt International Airport with several million dollars. It made newspaper headlines, and I was so sure at that time, that the Jonathans must be stealing Bayelsa State Blind.
The then effcc got involved in matter, and much to my surprise, they cleared her of any wrongdoing and released the money back to her.
Anyone interested can do a newspaper search of this incident way back during the OBJ administration.

Therefore, the point here , which is very important, is that however PEJ got her millions of dollars, she has such money long before they entered Aso Rock.
And this is what the poor woman has been crying loudly all along, for someone to listen to her.
She did not hold any public office during her husband's reign, neither did she preside over any multi-million dollar budgets from which she could have stolen her millions.

I have no idea where or how she made her millions of dollars, but I know for sure, it is publicly evident, that she had such wealth long before taking up residence in Aso Rock.

It is unfair and cowardly to be publicly humiliating a former first lady for the crime of having millions of dollars , whereas, the current first lady, whom also we know to have held no public office, nor captain of any industry, is also walking around, splashing tens of millions of naira here and there, N60m watch here, N15m handbags there, 150k pounds tuition for her children, etc.

Possession of wealth should not be a crime for which a person is hounded and publicly humiliated.

With that mindset, the effcc is encouraging capital flight.
Who wants to keep their wealth in a country that fights, harasses and humiliated wealth ?

Yes.
Anytime you want to change society or bring changes to society, you first start by indoctrinating the women. Once you successfully do that, then the doctrine becomes self-defense sustaining, because the women indoctrinate the children, and the cycle continues.

Every change starts with focus on the womenfolk.

1. Your parents?

2. Your parents for becoming more religious lately

3. For believing in God for almost 2 decades

You only have one diagnosis and that is emotional tantrum and chronic depression. Atheism tends to lead one to loneliness and depression and isnt the fault of your parents, neither is it Gods fault.

Its a choice you made. You chose loneliness and depression when you chose Atheism so be a man, suck it up and enjoy or endure it. You cannot keep painting a wall with black paint and expect it to become a white wall. You choose what you become so get with the program.

Or

You can be like your Parents and enjoy warmth and affection and communion as a family thereby eschewing depression. Ultimately the choice is yours. If you wish to be angry at God for another 200yrs how would that affect God? Can you punch Him? Can you spit on Him? Can you shoot Him?

He is way beyond your reach and you would only end up hurting yourself and become suicidal. I could be your friend if you like. Even though i know you dread and detest me but i am still open to being your friend.

Surrounding yourself with so much anger and bile isnt even medically advisable and is spiritually destructive. What do you say?

If I might ask, how did u arrive at this? I've been finding my way towards this point, though, I still believe in a higher consciousness.
Your mind is, under proper tuning, capable of higher consciousness.
We exhibit higher consciousness from time, but we are often too distracted to recognize it.

The human brain has been shown to possess quantum mechanical properties.
This means that your mind extends beyond its physicality, into infinity. It here and also everywhere at the same time, just like quantum particles. It transmits and received both physically measurable energy ( electrical impulses) and non-physically measurable energy( cosmic impulses from corners of the universe) .
