I think this brute force is only meant for criminal BDC operators who take cheap forex from a privileged channel (Travelex/FB), then go on to sell at a price which far exceeds the price they agreed to sell when they were given the cheap bills. An agreement is an agreement, if they want to sell at parallel rates, then they shouldn't buy at privileged rates.

That is not to say the CBN's policy of forcefully controlling the rate makes any sense, but the BDCs shouldn't be criminally greedy.
My friend,
How naive can you and the government be to think that banks and bureau de changes will simply ignore demand and supply dynamics to make a profit , and instead , conduct themselves to please the government?

Everyone is in business to have advantage.

Samguine:
Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Doyin Okupe has expressed joy over the emergence of Donald J. Trump as the President-elect of the United States of America.

Okupe on Wednesday on his Facebook page said Trump “contested against the entire american establishment” and won.

Quoting from Psalms 33 verses 10 and 11 of the the Holy Bible, Okupe wrote, “The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought, He maketh the devices of the people of non effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever.”

He also quoted from Psalms 2 verses 1, 2, and 4 adding, “Hillary Clinton, her husband Bill and the Democrats are the protagonists of liberalism in America. They encourage homosexuality, same sex marriage and all sorts of societal immorality in the USA. To make matters worse in July this year Hilarry publicly stated that, the words of the Bible (the Word of God) be changed to accommodate “current” social realities. What a blasphemy against Jehovah, the maker and ruler of the universe, the God of all flesh, the only living and Supreme God. The bible says “the word of God is settled” how can we imagine that God will allow someone who will change His word to have power! Vanity and nothing short is of vanity.”

Okupe also said Trump’s victory was a clear indication of the “awesomeness of God”.

“The events of today is a robust testimony to all, christian and non Christians, about the awesomeness of this God, who has ridiculed all the so-called Principalities and Powers of the world and has used the foolish things of this world to confound the wise men of the world.

“God is going to usher in a new order in the world and its affairs. Only the righteous will prevail.

“For this historic victory, of a man with no experience in politics or public or military service, We give ALL Glory to the Almighty God and His Son Jesus Christ to whom all honour, praise and adoration, is due.”

Oh not at all. I actually regard the generality of women as superior beings to the generality of men.

Saying something is girly is not chauvinism. To read romance novels, or wear flowers is girly. To play around outdoors in the mud is boyish. Neither is a discriminatory statement. I could say an adult is behaving like a little boy or little girl. That is not sexist.

Please do not taint me with the brush of misogyny as I am anything but, infact I strongly resent misogynists.

No, not at all. Absolutely not: there are just certain mannerisms or behavioral patterns that one expects from girls, from boys, from men and from women. For example it might be boyish to play football in the mud all day everyday - this does not mean that it is either good or bad. But it is boyish. Pastor AIO's behaviour right from the other thread and even the act of creating this thread was rather girly. This is not to say it is either good or bad, but it is childish - and is more likely the behavior of a girl child rather than a boy child.

Mind you boys do very silly things as well. Boyish silly things.
Unless my comprehension skills are wanting,That still sounds sexist and misogynistic.

No, you are wrong. Kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall, it is the way the world is structured. God is the only who promotes, He is also the only One Who debases. He is the ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGN of the universe, and He does as He absolutely likes.

It was our time to go down, it is our time to be taught a lesson in humility. If you had lived during the time when the world was ruled by black people, if you are exposed to the literature written of those periods, if any one told you the people who built those civilizations could be devolved to this level today, you would frantically disbelieve it.

Civilization is about the knowledge of God: God is the author of civilization. We lost God, so we fell.

God aligned with oyinbo people, so they rose. When they rose, they spread civilization to the world, Yes! they spread Christianity and removed the superstitions that held us bound during those times.

They have become proud and arrogant, now they think they are doing everything by their own power, because of this arrogance they will fall very soon. Just like the black man fell.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Africa Never Developed Technologically Despite All The Secrets We Know by plaetton: 2:51pm On Nov 07, 2016
HardMirror:
The answer is Ego.

Yes, Africa would have developed far faster than the Europeans, in fact the whites should have been learning from us by now, but we lie a lot all because we want to be worshiped by our fellow men.

Moses learnt the secret arts of the Egyptians and used it to deceive the Isrealites. Particularly with the ark of covenant.

The ark of covenant is proof that africans have been building capacitors (batteries) long before Alexandra Volta.
www.electricancientegyptians.com/blog/uncategorized/ark-of-the-covenant-as-a-powerful-electrical-capacitor/
Check the link and you will discover moses learned the design from Egypt and not from "god"
Don't forget he grew up in Egypt and Egypt was one of the oldest and advanced civilization. Moses did not go back to his illiterate people to tell them he learned anything from Egypt, but he used their ignorance to his advantage.

This is exactly what our Babalawo's, herbalists, medicine men do. They are the supposed scientists of Africa, but they behave exactly like moses. Seeking recognition and reverence from their fellow men. They want to be seen as special. So when they discover any herb or poison, they disguise the whole thing, complicate the whole process and tell you they are specially connected to the gods. They ask you to bring goats, palm oil, red cloth etc all because they want to cure you of malaria. At the end they give you the real cure ( medicinal herbs and roots) but they would have complicated the whole process, adding many rituals to make it seem they are doing something special that only them can do.

Compared to the Europeans who share their scientific discoveries and never claim that the gods are working through them. They made their scientific discoveries open and questionable so that they can be improved.
but not Africans, once a Herberlist discovers the cure to a disease (By trial and error) he won't share it with others, he does not want other people to scrutinize his discovery and methods. They give spiritual excuses for their failures and make sure you cannot question their lapses. They don't improve on their methods because they give no room to be challenged. They spiritualize everything.

Our hunters have great knowledge of animals even more than the white zoologists in developed countries. But instead of being plain with their observations of the animals they encounter, they exaggerate their stories so that you will hail them as brave hunters.

Imagine that guns where invented in Africa, they would have claimed it was a spiritual weapon.

Imagine if bombs were invented in Africa, they would have claimed it was spiritual.

Imagine if mobile phones where invented in Africa, they would have claimed it was spiritual

They would have attached so many rituals to their operations to complicate the whole thing and make the user more confused so people won't ever know the knowledge behind it's operation.

We keep our discoveries secret and spiritualize them so people would think we are special. This is why Africa ended up being colonized, this is why we never developed. Europeans were being honest with their discoveries and making them public so others can contribute to what they discover and there by improve.

An african herbalist would not admit he is ignorant of some things. Out of pride he would keep pretending he can't cure an illness because the gods want the victim to die. Instead of being honest and them studying the illness. While the Europeans were busy collaborating their efforts not pretending to know it all, our own herbalists were busy pretending to have all answers.

Instead of studying how Lightening/thunder works, they wld tell you it is Sango (god of thunder) punishing you. Europeans were busy studying how Lightening works and today we all use lightening conductors to keep our homes from going up in flames during thunder storms.

We are doing the same thing all over again. Some people drank methanole in Ondo town and died from terrible side effects, we were out sacrificing chicken to the gods, in 2015! Geez, instead of studying what happened we already jumped into conclusion without research.

This is how pastors, traditional doctors, Alfas and their ilks keep fooling us and we never bother to research to understand, learn and develop lasting proven solutions.
100℅ true.

Africans like to mystify everything, including dreams, their own shadows, etc.

Because Buhari and his Kitchen cabinet have never earned an honest wealth in their private lives, they simply cannot imagine, in the atrophied brains, how other people earn wealth.

This ill-concieved and ill-motivated fight against the free flow of CAPITAL, the lifeblood of any economy, is the real cause of the catastrophic economic depression in the country, and as long as that old goat remains to exude sucg toxic body language, I mean body odour, every thing in Nigeria will continue to stagnate and collapse.

Japan has advanced technology, plus an annual GDP of 4.92 TRILLION dollars.

Thus, comparing her current engineering capabilities to that of Nigeria is insanity.

OP, it's not about who is a ''hardworking nation'' and who isn't a ''hardworking nation'' - whatever the hell that means.

The economic and development profiles of nations are far more complicated than such silly simplifications.
So basically, you're saying that Nigeria doesn't have money to fix roads and other social responsibilities ?
Or that we neither have the engineering know-how to fix roads nor the money to hire foreign engineers ?

If these are what you believe, then perhaps you should be asking why.

Yes, Japan has trillions of dollars more in GDP than Nigeria. But did Japan need to spend all of its GDP dollars on fixing bad roads ?

Can you realistically say that Nigeria lacks the funds to fix roads while our legislators, about 1,000 men and women, who are said to consume about a quarter of our annual budget, are the highest paid in the entire world ?

Let's call a spade a spade.
The difference between Japan and Nigeria are simply matters of Priorities and Responsibilities, not the size of the economy.

Lol.
I think that since May 29th 2015, Nigerians may have woken up in an alternate universe, where everything, every known law of economic management seem to be upside down.
For example, after winning a historic election, the newly elected leader, rather than attempt to unify the country, opted to divide the country into 95 percenters and 5 presenters.

Rather than quickly assemble a team to hit the ground running from day one, he runs a sole administration for 5 months without ministers.

Rather than present a budget that encapsulates his economic vision, he presents a copy and paste, inflate and pad budget that actually encapsulates his LACK of VISION.

And for first time perhaps in modern history, we see a government almost double it's budget at a time when it's primary source of revenue is down 70℅.
If that was Not pure Voodoo, I don't know what is.

He talks diversification while the information ministry gets a budget bigger than agriculture and labour ministries combined.

He shops for loans to fund the budget while still promising welfare payments to 1 million ghost people.

The finance minister tells us that the budget cannot be fully implemented, and then the next day, the government goes to the Parliament for a supplementary Budget.

We hear that budget is being successfully implemented, but NOT a single CAPITAL project has taken off.

Rather than prune the civil service for efficiency and more productivity, the government is promising to hire hundreds of thousands of more civil servants, while still shopping for loans.

After announcing that they are shopping for a record- setting $30b loan, with no economic blueprint attached, this government is announcing a planned increase in workers salaries. huh

Basically , this government is mortgaging the future generations of Nigerians just to do political PATCH PATCH jobs of today.
What a monumental tragedy. undecided
