Biabeke:
Angolobabe, thank you for posting this topic. I am also from Rivers State, but I am legally married to a man from Delta State. My half brothers are also adamant about me having a traditional marriage. Of course, I know that my deadbeat half brothers want my husband's money. My husband and I discussed about it and came to a unanimous decision to send my parents-in law with delegates and the bride price. This might work for you too. Send elderly delegates from your village with kolanuts and other traditional delicacies along with the bride price. If you father cares about you, he will understand the financial ramifications that go along with travelling to Nigeria. I hope this helps.

I do buy for my kids, it is my pleasure, i am that type that like good clothes so i find it hard not going in a mark shop once in a while, my kids best mark is IKKS for kids but they are mostly used for occassion like sunday service, birthday in school and when we go for vacation, but as for everyday use i buy in a normal shop. This doesn't stop me from saving for their future.

Angolobaba I quite understand how u feel and i am happy u know that ur hubby security is very important.

don't mind what some people say here, u are the one involve just becareful and mind the kind of advice u take here.

Who will say he or she is not aware of the ytee kidnapping in the niger delta?? in as long as he is white, they will take him if they are chanced, they wont mind if he works in an oil company or not.

@EVERYBODY: She is right to ve said that Nigeria is not safe, apart from the fact that ur hubby is a white man, even u going to nigeria for a big traditional wedding, my dear u ve to be careful and don't go and do a big party as u ve said here oooo, you can go to nigeria with hubby and do a traditional wedding in a cool way that people around will not even notice, howhuh(1) don't inform all family and friends ur arrival and hotel where u will loge,(2) u can rent a hall in the hoteland celebrate ur thing, make sure it's a secured hotel and tell ur dad while u would want the thing to be done in the hotel where u and hubby loged abi na by force to dom 4 villagehuh? what is important is that ur family will witnessed it as that is how they want it.

Thia is how i want to do my own when the time comes, I no fancy that someone representing u and hubby stuff.

[Mr Beatie, born a woman, has had a chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy, but decided to keep his female reproductive organs.]

                                                           written by Mr Beatie

When Nancy had to have a hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis 20 years ago, the couple started thinking about Thomas carrying their child.

"I stopped taking my bimonthly testosterone injections. It had been roughly eight years since I had my last menstrual cycle, so this wasn’t a decision that I took lightly," Mr Beatie said.

"My body regulated itself after about four months, and I didn’t have to take any exogenous estrogen, progesterone, or fertility drugs to aid my pregnancy."

This is Mr Beatie's second pregnancy. The first was an ectopic pregnancy with triplets.

"It was a life-threatening event that required surgical intervention, resulting in the loss of all embryos and my right fallopian tube," he said.

"When my brother found out about my loss, he said, 'It’s a good thing that happened. Who knows what kind of monster it would have been'.”

Mr Beatie said he and his wife had begun experiencing anger from people offended by their decision.

"Doctors have discriminated against us, turning us away due to their religious beliefs. Health care professionals have refused to call me by a male pronoun or recognise Nancy as my wife," he said.

"Receptionists have laughed at us. Friends and family have been unsupportive; most of Nancy’s family doesn’t even know I’m transgender."

Mr Beatie said his identity as a male remained "constant" despite his growing stomach.

", I am so lucky to have such a loving, supportive wife. I will be my daughter’s father, and Nancy will be her mother. We will be a family," he said.

Mr Beatie doesn't appear to be the first "pregnant" male. See the story of Mr Lee Mingwei who is apparently the first born male to give birth to a baby from his body.

when are we going to stop tempting naturehuh?

He was said to be born as a woman, named(( Lagondino Tracy)) but after a change of sex he is said to be legally a man today and he changed his name to Thomas Beatie.

He look urgly and disgustin embarassed embarassed embarassed i still see him as a woman he didn't make any history as he was born in a woman form.

Why don't he wish to be animal then so he can breath in water or fly like eagle or jumping from tree to tree like monkey huh What he has done is not against the human law, but GOD law ! Repent ! It is good enough if God determine us to be male or female ! And publishing this news is like to give hope to many "sick-mentally" man that dream to have child now become true , You may be responsible for this , repent , now befor it's too late"

Romance › Re: Your Favourite Romance Song by plappville(f): 11:01am On Nov 18, 2008
I love this song anyday anytime of my life,

(((TAKE THAT))))

guess now it's time for me to give up
I feel it's time
Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup
Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood

Unaware but underlined I figured out this story
It wasn't good
But in the corner of my mind I celebrated glory
But that was not to be
In the twist of separation you excelled at being free
Can't you find a little room inside for me

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood

And we'll be together, this time is forever
We'll be fighting and forever we will be
So complete in our love
We will never be uncovered again

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood

I guess now it's time, that you came back for good
Romance › Re: Is Maintaining Her Viginity A Crime? by plappville(f): 10:33am On Nov 18, 2008
I dont think the guy needed her just because he knew she is a virgin, at least he has visited her several time and has been calling her,
its true that some guys can't wait if they are really in love.

don't u think the girl is taking this her virgin thing too farhuh does HER HEART BEAT for the guy toohuh .
alot of girls make this mistakes, after all there is limit in keeping virginity, if u know the guy well and both of u ve dated for years what's the need keeping him waiting and waitinghuh
OK She should tell her guy to take her to the alter, BUT she must be sure she is virgin ooo.

i ve seen a muslim couples that got married, the girl claiming she was a virgin and that she will not ve sex befor marriage.
As a nice man, he respected her right and waited but was dissapointed to discover that she was not a virgin after he married her, the man want to divorce her immediatly, the case is in the court.

Na this make me say make she dey sure!!!!!! undecided

As nature, religion, and tradition demands, it is wrong to get pregnant outside wedlock, but in some case if one didn't plan for it and the baby came, it's better to have the child than to abort it. I was one victim, my first baby came befor i got married. I didn't stop begging God for his forgiveness even when i went to dedicate him in the church my mind was judging me that i ve sinned against God, but if i didnt want to sin against God i could have not even slept wit a man befor getting married, it's hard to really keep to this.

Family › Re: My Wife Gave Out My Son To Another Man! WHAT should I do by plappville(f): 6:16pm On Nov 16, 2008
All the advices u have heard befor mine are parfect, u just have to take ur little angel back, he needs u more than u know.

what will be bad is if u continue to ignore him becos of his mother, he knows nothing and can't take a decision of his own for now.

sure u can have another kid with another woman but no kid can take his place as nature demands.
But another woman can for sure take the place of ur wife.

So please think for him and him alone, try to forgive ur wife and forge ahead.
