A quick word to all the young men and ladies on this forum. Please try and help our next generation, i.e our children. Please educated yourself about Nigeria and her heroes. We need to desist from the trend our parents set (no disrespect to anybody's parent). Majority of our parents didn't really understand what was going on Nigeria and they didn't take their time to really find out, hence they misinformed us out of the sheer ignorance. And with what am seeing on this forum, we the new generation are not helping matters. We are not doing enough to educate ourselves about past and current events in the country. All we do is insult our elders.

Imagine some people insulting Ojukwu and Abiola on the other thread while south africa is busy over-hyping their Nelson Mandela. Not that Mandela didn't do anything for South Africa but if you educate yourself well (western media propaganda aside), he (Mandela) did the same thing Abiola did. So why are we insulting Abiola? @op, Just a quick pinch. Please don't be discouraged by all those cowards saying it's a bad idea. I can tell you majority of them have never even been to Abuja. This is one heck of a beautiful adventure. You will so enjoy it. I have been doing this since 2002 (i schooled in IB) and i must tell you, you can never regret it. And hey, guess what? My first year driving to and fro was in a Gulf 3 and you will never believe how many routes/towns i have driven through to Abuja. It's always exciting. Back then, my friends'd  say i was crazy for driving in a Golf 3 to Abuja.

Though you can't rule out the issue of insecurity in Nigeria, but I have never been robbed. Nevertheless, be careful. If you are a pounded-yam lover, i'd advise you to stop over at OWO and enjoy the "eighth wonder of the world" type of pounded-yam they have in that town. I can assure you, you'll never miss it on any of your subsequent trips.

Please sir, what is the average landing cost of PMS in Lagos port?? Have you done your research to find out how much lands PMS in our ports here in Nigeria? If you can get this information, you will see that the subsidy thing is just a big scam being pulled on all Nigerians by our government. I have first hand information from a bank officer whose banks facilitated credits for importation of PMS into Nigeria, and copies of Letters of credit (L/C) facilitating the transactions are readily available, and to tell you a fact, we should not be buying PMS at more than 55 naira per litre at least in Lagos, Ibadan, Oyo, Ogun states and maybe between 60 to 65 Naira per litre in other states including the northern states. The landing cost of PMS as shown the L/Cs averages between 40 Naira to 48 naira per litre (depending of foreign exchange rate of course) I am not against government raising money to develop the country, but not at the expense of the lives and security of Nigerians.

We can all see what rot our government officials are made of in these on-going subsidy probe, can we still standing tall to say that subsidy is actually or up to 1.3 trillion for 2011?? This is a big question we should all be asking now. Figures have been given for subsidy claims paid for more than 5 years running and even with the corruption in the system, yearly increase in the number of cars and generators used in the country, it still hovered around 300 billion naira per annum.

Well, I have analyzed this during the subsidy period. The landing cost is not more than N48 but some people still do not see that the FG has only devised this subsidy of a thing as an avenue to pay his campaign sponsors back(Remember the friends of Jonathan program and the billions that was donated?). I personally know someone who donated N500m that same day. He is my uncle's close friend. My uncle didn't even know he was gonna be present at the event until we saw him in the big screen. Hey, did i mention that he owns an oil company too?

For the last time,  Nigerians should wake up. There is nothing like subsidy. It's a scam. I'm an expert in this industry.

Well i posted the below comment some 2 days ago and i take it most of you didn't read it cos if you did, you wouldn't still be asking where he (Jimoh Ibrahim) got his product from. I am fully into oil and gas and i know so much about it, so if you have any question, you are free to ask after reading the below. That being said, I hereby challenge  any oil importer on this forum, Wale Tinubu of OandO (we've met couple of time at Barkindo's house in Asokoro) though my company is relatively small to his, i challenge, MRS,  Honeywell, Folawiyo, Capital oil , Allison Madueke and SLS to call me out on any part of this my analysis below. Nigerians, read and educate yourself a little about what you are fighting for and against.

Please let's enlighten ourselves for a minute. For your information, the above listed companies are just 11% of the beneficiaries of the subsidy. 87% of the oil imported into Nigeria is by NNPC itself (why is NNPC name not on top of the list?) which means 87% of the subsidy paid went back to NNPC (Where NNPC = Gov't = Cabal). The remaining 2 percent are the other independent importers who brought in their product without lobbying for the PSF (Petroleum Support Fund, i.e Subsidy).

Now your question should be, how would the independent importers make profit when they do not benefit from the so called subsidy? The answer is, there is nothing like subsidy in the first place.

As at this morning the landing cost for

PMS (Petrol) = N47/litre

AGO (Diesel) = N82/litre

Jetty fee + Tank farm shouldn't charge more than N2 per litre, so add that up. Meaning the total expenditure to Tank Farm in Lagos is N49 per litre. So if we sell for N65/litre, there will be a N16 profit margin between the importer and the filling station owner. If you are into oil and gas, you will realize that, this is alotta money considering the quantity you are importing, so what the heck is the meaning of subsidy?

Any oil importer can call me out on this one if you think my analysis is wrong and we'll iron it out. Now after the N16 profit between the importer and the filling station, the federal govt now comes out to tell us they paid some "selected people" an extra N75/litre as subsidy, which bring the profit margin to N75+ N16. Does this make any sense?


Subsidy is just a way invented by the government to pay the cabal (Cabal AKA.The Kitchen Cabinet; meaning the Super-Advisers, a position which is called The Consiglierie  in Mafia). This Cabal majorly comprises of powerful Ex office holders,  like the ex presidents, ex senator presidents and the likes and they act as the super advisers to the present president while subtly fine-tuning him to make policies that will suite their own purpose. Not forgetting that they were the ones who endorsed him both at the primary level and at the general election and majority of his campaign funds came from them. ANd now that he is the president as they wanted, it's now a "Fukk you pay us" situation.

Now in my opinion, i believe the country is broke and in a big debt. Jonathan now realizes that he can no longer pay this Cabal AKA The GodFathers directly from the government purse and he's not trying to stand in their way from collecting their entitlement, hence he's putting the burden on the citizen. So now, look at it from the above analysis, if you buy PMS at N140,  you are directly paying the subsidy by yourself to the Cabal and the fortunate ones in this situation is the independent importer. They dont need to even think of lobbying for PSF now, they only need to bring in their product as usual and sell at N140, which automatically gives them the same profit margin as the Cabal. This is why i was telling someone on the other thread that, he must be joking for claiming that Otedola, Adenuga and Dantatas of the world are the one sponsoring NLC and NTU, what would be their gain? Do you think they'll have the time now? I can tell you they're all busy tracking their next Vessels to Naija right now.

There is a lot to say but hey, i don't think i'd make a good lecturer. But let's all seek knowledge and know what exactly we are fighting for and against. It's not about the subsudy removal, it's about fighting the godfatherism trend that has been enslaving us for like god knows when. Let's stand up and fight it out NOW.

Im still very much confused on this subsidy issue. Fine the  production capacity of Nigerias Refineries cannot meet up with the daily demand in fuel consumption. So therefore companies etc OANDO and the rest are  given licences to import  it. They import at a certian price which was to expensive for Nigerians even as they (importers)  would calculate all theri cost. The government then decides to subsidize  the cost therefore they ( Government bears some of the cost) and Nigerians paid N65. On the list released by  Government which people tagged them as CABAL ( Which I dont see them as, they were simply doing business. I was given a licence tO import fuel and  the government DECIDES TO PAY  subsidy, so what makes me a cabal. The government allowed it dint they?) THE  main issue is the astronomical increase in the number of importers within a certain period of time which was very crazy.  cos i believe there should be  a short to medium term plan in place b4  the completion of refineries.

Oando is a legitimate importer and unless any of you can prove that Oando participate in sharp practices like smuggling to other country, over-invoicing etc, stop counting Oando as cabal.

Jetty fee + Tank farm shouldn't charge more than N2 per litre, so add that up. Meaning the total expenditure to Tank Farm in Lagos is N49 per litre. So if we sell for N65/litre, there will be a N16 profit margin between the importer and the filling station owner. If you are into oil and gas, you will realize that, this is alotta money considering the quantity you are importing, so what the heck is the meaning of subsidy?

Any oil importer can call me out on this one if you think my analysis is wrong and we'll iron it out. Now after the N16 profit between the importer and the filling station, the federal govt now comes out to tell us they paid some "selected people" an extra N75/litre as subsidy, which bring the profit margin to N75+ N16. Does this make any sense?


Subsidy is just a way invented by the government to pay the cabal (Cabal AKA.The Kitchen Cabinet; meaning the Super-Advisers, a position which is called The Consiglierie  in Mafia). This Cabal majorly comprises of powerful Ex office holders,  like the ex presidents, ex senator presidents and the likes and they act as the super advisers to the present president while subtly fine-tuning him to make policies that will suite their own purpose. Not forgetting that they were the ones who endorsed him both at the primary level and at the general election and majority of his campaign funds came from them. ANd now that he is the president as they wanted, it's now a "Fukk you pay us" situation.

Now in my opinion, i believe the country is broke and in a big debt. Jonathan now realizes that he can no longer pay this Cabal AKA The GodFathers directly from the government purse and he's not trying to stand in their way from collecting their entitlement, hence he's putting the burden on the citizen. So now, look at it from the above analysis, if you buy PMS at N140,  you are directly paying the subsidy by yourself to the Cabal and the fortunate ones in this situation is the independent importer. They dont need to even think of lobbying for PSF now, they only need to bring in their product as usual and sell at N140, which automatically gives them the same profit margin as the Cabal. This is why i was telling someone on the other thread that, he must be joking for claiming that Otedola, Adenuga and Dantatas of the world are the one sponsoring NLC and NTU, what would be their gain? Do you think they'll have the time now? I can tell you they're all busy tracking their next Vessels to Naija right now.

There is a lot to say but hey, i don't think i'd make a good lecturer. But let's all seek knowledge and know what exactly we are fighting for and against. It's not about the subsudy removal, it's about fighting the godfatherism trend that has been enslaving us for like god knows when. Let's stand up and fight it out NOW.
