That January 2020 call to sell and the March 2020 to buy was a product of the research carried out.

I shared them but received criticism/hate in both cases. I even updated the house on the likely events that could ensue (like Fed interventions, helicopter money etc) as the February 2020 crash occurs.

It is just research. Anyone like OGG, Meshpips with flair for mathematics, engineering and forecasting ability can easily understand it.

I believe crowd/investor actions(buy, sell, hold, FOMO, YOLO, FA, TA) can still be mapped out and filtered to obtain a measurable signal.

I don too read. Make I rest my brain. grin grin

NSE has no issues but the problem is that our market is too dependent on external events.
You have really tried.
I am also being cautious about our market in its present state.
Second wave of corona virus with fall in crude oil price can scatter everything. I just hope that oil price will stay up for now.

I'm entering the Agric sector after school

I'm going into vegetable crops and Plantain

The problem I have with Plantain is the market... Which market will be ready to get plantains harvested from 50 acres
One of the major problems with agriculture in Nigeria is marketing/market..
Do your home work properly. Don't go into agriculture because you want to help build the country, go where you are sure you can recoup your capital and earn profit.

Where can I learn the nitty-gritty of crypto so I can convert my idle dollars?
There is no time to waste, as government is already making move to regulate that space.
If you have a dorm account just get a dollar denominated ATM.
You can then go ahead to open account with any exchange of your choice that allows Nigeria to buy crypto directly with cards.... Buying is easy and so is selling, you have a better control of your money.

It is better you learn o.
Many had already envisaged this move by CBN and they have moved on.
The interest in crypto in Nigeria is massive.
Crypto market is getting bigger and bigger everyday, arguably now bigger than NSE

Exactly

There is no sentiment or patriotism when it comes to money

If the populace decide to put a foolish man as a president
And cheer useless policy makers to wreck the country
And the currency by extension

What I have laboured to build should not be affected by it

Look at how Dangote networth have plummeted

Even him have had enough
And will be hedging part of his wealth in America

It's a lost cause

CBN better NOT start that war......
It wont end well
It is a desperate move for a desperate situation.
It is one of the signs of economic collapse.
Most of the countries that have gone that route tend to get worse.

Look out for yourself and yours, Nigeria as a nation will be difficult to remedy no matter how patriotic one is.

People should stop spreading false information,
Saying all dom acc funds are to be converted to Naira at bank rate is NOT TRUE

There are multinationals who own dom accs in Nigeria and require forex to repatriate their funds, so they will be forced to take Naira to their countries where it isnt legal tender ?

All maturing Eurobonds go through dom accs so they will all be paid out in Naira too?
Verify your rumours before running to comment online.
You have a point.

.....but prices are not falling.
Doesn't look like flight......maybe if the chartists check their own oracles too, we may have idea of what's happening.
I don't think the PFA are the one selling. They are not short time players. They are most likely the ones buying.
The people likely to be selling are the FPI. They stopped the selling in march after they couldn't repatriate the proceeds of the one sold due to dollar shortage. As CBN continues to clear outstanding dollars obligations, expect more selling down from FPI...

I wasn't even talking to you now was I?

Well, i'll educate you.

I hold dollars that are lent to the FG as eurobonds. I don't need the fund. I have ample naira. I only need it to have some dollar earnings. It's serving its purpose.

I didn't buy it to speculate so I wasn't interested in selling even at 480 so what's your headache?
I like your patriotism. I used to be once upon a time.
If you've got dollars to sell, I can offer you a better rate than bank and will can meet to strike a deal.

Hello everyone.

Just realised that I haven't been getting any dividends.

Filed all the e dividend forms back in 2018, and submitted but they were clearly not processed.

I would like to have someone who has contacts with the registrar's, and can do the leg work help take my forms round. They will help get all necessary documents and follow up with the registrar's to get the forms processed.

I also have a number of friends in same shoes so if the person is good, there is certainly repeat business for them.

Is anyone here into this or interested in doing this? Will need references.
Your best bet is from your stockbroking house. Contact them to see if they will be willing to help. My stockbroker did something similar for me.

When I saw redstar closed below N3 yesterday, I went to look at their latest quarterly result.
The last quarterly result was not encouraging at all, negative earnings....

I don't know what is your own with me guy. Are you the one in charge of my savings and investment? You're just mad for nothing but you know what I'm saying is the truth. I started investing in Tbills in 2017. Normally in a regular economy many people will invest for 10 years and feel okay with their low interest rate in other climes but can you do that in Nigeria? Invest in Tbills for 10 years. This is my simple point. If had converted my money even at black market rate to dollars in 2017 and just left it in the bank doing nothing I'd be richer today than all the investment cycles I've done in Tbills because of Naira current devaluation. For over 10 years the naira has continuously fallen. I'm sure if u plot a graph of Naira against dollars since 2010,it would point straight down. I'm now beginning to re-evaluate my investing with naira. Im kind of buying into the idea to invest in dollars because I don't think the next 10 years may be different. There was time when it was 147 then 225 then 345 now its 460. Then next it will go to is 500 and something.
Investing in dollar can be good and rewarding but you must get your strategy right.
This might not be the best time to switch to dollar.

Thanks sir, speculation wasn't my thing, as for stocks, I grew up were fortunes were loss in the 90s on stocks, it's still affecting me but I know I will do critical assessment before trying it. My story is that am not a regular investor, I have a paying job. No time to engage in any other thing apart from dumping money and getting interest or profit and must be capital secured. The forex thing is that I've watched from sideline for too long while boys dey pick. I want take risk. If I don't and it continues the next one year then I won't like myself but if 5m walks, I will console myself which I already did before giving them my money. Even drank to it with my best man who did everything to stop me but like fly wet want die, I still dey follow dead body. Atleast, av contributed to the yahoo world in my lifetime.
As a fundamentalist, you spend less time doing stock analysis. You are less concerned with day to day movement of stock prices.
You only get busy when companies release their quarterly/ annual reports.
Most of us on NSEMPA also have our full time job,the most important thing is the interest.

By the way,I also lost money just like many others in stocks back in 2007/08.
By seeking knowledge, I have recovered what I lost in many folds.

Thanks boss, just checking around and Max I can get with that 30m on TBills is 1m, that's not growth. I successfully opened vgif account, maybe is time to dump it there. Guess it's safer, after opening the account I was asked to pay in money before I can get details and view, is that how everyone did theirs?
If you can do forex yourself or copy trading, that is not a bad idea.
However,if someone that you can't access his/her forex trading account is telling you to bring your money and is promising a fixed returns on investment, that person is probably not trading forex but collection money from Mr B to pay Mr A .

No matter how long it takes, it will definitely collapse.

Why are you not interested in stocks?
It will give a better returns than tbills and the likes if you are ready to do your homework.

Bro, that is not how leverage works. Mostly, leverage is used to magnify the tiny moves in the market (e.g. 80 pip profit may just be 0.0080 profit per dollar but leverage will boost it to something a little worth while). It's returns are not so different from d stock market.
Leverage will magnify your profits as well as your loses.
The returns are clearly different from stock market except in some cases where you can also use leverage in stocks.

You got it wrong. Let me answer in my own newbie way and with newbie's experience. grin
** You don't have to throw in major fund. Cultivating investment habit is number one goal you achieve here. You can even start as little 10k or even 5,050 (Morgan's min startup) grin ...and keep growing your investment.
** Have investment objective and decide whether you want to be a trader or investor; which type of investor -whether short, medium or long termer.
** Dividend investors are the less stressful set of investors as far as I'm concerned.
** You don't invest and go to sleep anyway, like my ogas will say. You constantly monitor and do portfolio evaluation.
**As for the loss, just know this is market and prices may go up and down, only ensure you buy a good, fundamentally sound and dividend paying stock, if prices goes down, it goes up again and the cycle continues, if prices falls you chop dividend, if it goes up you chop price appreciation......Oga Oracle will say "if it doesn't poo, it will vomit".
** Again you don't invest and go to sleep. smiley

You can take time to go thru Pa Emmanuelewumi's posts for more insight.
The guy is most likely a trader who trades all kinds of financial instruments with leverages.
If someone is used to using $10 to chase $100 profits, explaining to him how stocks with 10% profits is good might be difficult.

Looking at my charts: Brent has entered into a bearish vortex.

There is a high possibility of Brent going below $20. If it goes towards the March low of 16, then all oil producing countries will battle with revenue issues, currency crisis, social instability.

Something should cause Brent to spike and rise rapidly after touching the low. Is it a war? Who are the parties in the war? I don't know. But if oil falls low again, a catalyst will force it to rise very fast.

Wait for Bitcoin at 3,200 those who do cryptos.
