Bomboclad: ALL STOCK EXCHANGES ACROSS THE WORLD ARE RECOVERING FAST EXCEPT NIGERIA. SEE SOME BELOW AS AT THIS MOMENT:
DOW JONES - UP 6% NASDAQ - 7.4% LSE (LONDON) - UP 6.8% IT40 (ITALY) - UP 0.34% CAC 40 (FRANCE) - UP 8.4%
BRENT - UP 1.5% TO $30.18
WHO IS HOLDING THE INDEX OF THE GIANT OF AFRICA? Our own problem is peculiar. Corona and oil price. The economy impact will be severe and printing money elsewhere will not solve our dollar shortage and revenue shortfall. |

onegentleguy: U LACK basic understanding !! ...and hear this pluto; U are one of the few persons I can never try to convince or even impress. It'll amount to a waste of precious time.
Pls go stick ur nose where they belong !! Go look yourself in the mirror. You can count the number of uncouth words you have used today. Na only you I really pity those who walk directly under you, even if you are a military man you should know that there is a limit to your authority. |

onegentleguy: Before u leap, LEARN TO LOOK !! Look at the context for which "the matter about his then missing daughter" was used in the post, before u make illogical conclusions.
Read that part in bold again. ...but this time, do it slowly. ...and try interpret the phrase; "see u in a better light" It's not that complex to comprehend. ...it's called simple English !! But if u still don't understand it, then am sorry, I can NOT help u !! You definitely don't know how to talk to people. This is not your first and it won't be the last. There are many on this forum who didn't know that something like that happened to him, why mentioning it again... |

onegentleguy: If indeed u have now gone ahead to buy into the very same stocks u've repeatedly prophesied doom on, then u are NOT a good person !! While u cannot deceive me and a few others, what about the naive ones who may have acted out ur nefarious opinion and sold off their assets.
Up until just a few hours ago, u were still not talking sense. ...and now u've gone ahead to buy? What really has changed? There's even been a few more cases of spread of the virus.
Sincerely, I used to see u in a better light after u had an issue(ur missing daughter)years ago. ...but with this right here, u've lost it !! So ur intent all along was to DECEIVE? ...So u are this treacherous !! Do u have to deceive others to make money? ...do u? Look @ Oracle, rebakah, Fxuser, Bullbearmkt, sayisanya, mcy56 and many others here. ...they do their thing without trying to deceive.
Wonder why some of u behave as if u can take money or anything at all to the grave. Oftentimes, the aftermath of what we do in life, SHALL come back to hunt us(or our families) in the course of time. We will always stew from our own juice !!
Keep leading a life of subversiveness, by the time u'll realise what u are doing urself, several repercussions will be steering at u right in the face !! Hear this my dear; GOD is NOT asleep !! Some of the words you use here are very very wrong. Why will you bring up the issue of his missing daughter..... I take exemption to this and that should be condemned by every one. |

The Foreign Investors we’re still in the market as at February according to this report from NSE... the domestic Investors even dumped more than them You have to look at the outflow against inflow. FPI are still selling more than they are buying, the ratio was even worse in February. We are on a long thing. |

Guess he's got his hands burnt severely before, hence the fear, which to me is understandable.......but that's the same fear that didn't allow me to buy or make anything when it first went down, I just want to take the risk and see how it goes. It may or may not go down below current price. No one is sure of anything now. Zenith is good at cp. Don't jump in with both legs at once, buy in tranches. |

Chibuking81: You still have opportunity to bail out today, at any sight of bid, and reenter at lower lower price. Take it easy bro. While I believe the effect of corona virus will be very severe in Nigeria both in health and economic output,I think you should tone down how you predict what will happen with stocks. There is no need for people holding fundamentally sound stocks to panic sell.. |

chigo4u: So should everyone start panic buying dollars instead? It’s the duty of the government to fix the economy not the masses. The government doesn’t feed anyone atleast in Nigeria That is what CBN is doing... Prioritising our needs. As an import dependent economy, we need certain amount of dollars to survive.. We cannot print dollar but we have to earn it. The major source of dollar is our oil and unfortunately we have no control over its price. Anytime there is a drop in oil price, the country find herself in trouble and the CBN will try all manner of on orthodox means to enhance our survival. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by pluto09(m): 10:04am On Mar 22, 2020 |
chigo4u: What do you mean there is no excess cash in the system, every devaluation leads to inflation, also the new minimum wage will also cause excess cash in the system, the CBN OMO bills was closed to local investors making them to divert to tbills causing the over subscriptions being recorded in tbills. Now that OMO bills is receiving low subscriptions what will CBN do next? CBN said it devalued the naira to increase naira revenue and finance local spendings.. Budget is already running at deficit so they should get ready to print more naira.. You should know all these policies are making the naira lose more value.. Liquidity is very high and the dollar revenue is decreasing with the oil price fall.. Inflation is nearing 13% for Gods sake.. Looks like the current CBN don’t even care about the inflation numbers. The surge in inflation is mainly attributable to recent border closure. The biggest problem facing CBN now is shortage of dollar and dwindled reserves.. Raising interest rate on tbills will not solve those problems. It is ironic that some people are more concerned about what they get from tbills than the over all heath of our economy. |

Chibuking81: Recession never help construction company, because during recession government will put capital project on hold, but will concentrate on wage bill of workers. The current occurrence will heavily affect the constructions firm in q1 and q2 this year.
If the price of crude oil remains down up till May, most Nigeria state will find it difficult to pay their state workers, FAAC meeting two days ago ended in deadlock. This is sign of looming financial crisis. Having study the movement of things the crude price will likely touch $20, even blow. Some states still have outstanding salaries owed their workers during the last recession. I don't know how some of them will cope with oil price below $30. |

wanaj0: It was obvious that the bull had no basis.
Our economy is in dire shape. Devaluation is imminent. (CBN will delay till next year). Recession beckon. I pity the economic team. Salaries will be owed. There will be job losses. For us it is more of the price war than the corona pandemic. Saudi Arabia and Russia are trying to push Shale Oil companies out of business. This will affect the economy of USA with the banks feeling the heat. So expect a fight back.
That said, people will over react. Stocks will become ridiculously cheap. So great opportunity is here for fundamentally sound stock especially those that are toast of foreign investors. People will make a KILL Your input is highly valued. Thanks. |

Watch that space My concern is how low oil price will affect Nigeria and not if price will go up or down. I have my eyes on our reserves, if reserves keep going down then devaluation is inevitable. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 5:41am On Mar 16, 2020 |
RabbiDoracle: Devaluation news in Nigeria will be gone soon. The money will be flooded all over the world to bid asset prices.
All central banks cutting rates and pumping record liquidity.
Soon US coronavirus cases will peak and everybody will run into equities.
Las las we all go dey alright. Devaluation news will not go because other countries are cutting rates and pumping liquidity. The major determinant for devaluation is oil price, if price recovers quickly we will be good but we will be stuck if price stays low for a long period. |

He worked for 3 years as a bank clerk before moving to USA where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Maybe it has been a lifelong ambition for Jim to one day takeover Union Bank. At cp ,Union bank is one of the most expensive banks in the sector. Just hope that zenith will not over pay for this acquisition. |
