EchoLima262: Ogas in the house, I want to tango with Alhaji. I am not sure whether to Cement our relationship, add Sugar to it or get Flour for our bread. Pls advise a confused forumite. cc: Currentprice, Bullbermarket, emmanuelewumi, deruggedprof, Agbalowomeri, Toluway, fxuser, coolcash, etc, etc Going by the 9 months results of the 3 companies, I will pick DF and DS. Keep your eyes on the price of raw sugar and flour at the international market as I reckon that if there is no major spike in market price of these commodities, they will continue to post very good results in the next one or two quarters. Entry price is another thing entirely. |

Hope I will be able to sell my aso savings, unic, and union diagnostic at 20 or 10k. You have nothing to fear if you are holding good stocks as long as oil price is up. |

currentprice: .Concentrated Centre of no nonsense is good but to make another 100% base on Q3 the currentprice need a little pullback 1st
Mr Anthony stock might be better for that runs base on the Q3 numbers find it and check the number for yourself if you wouldn,t say it has already run faster Who knows? I read somewhere that they are planning to commission a new line of 1.5MT. I am confused about the news as I really don't know if the new line belongs to concentrated center or the parent company BUA. Anyway, I think the number is good enough as I am sitted already in the bus with a plan to buy more if there is a pullback. |

Manonamission: Don't be too desperate to promote easykobo by discrediting another source when you it's clear the info is right. NSE report summary is usually not in percentages. So the info is correct. By the way, I don't fail to use easykobo for one thing or the other (price history most times ) Easykobo can be late in updating some statistics. Just check the p/e he posted for fcmb and Diamond. I cannot understand how they arrived at those figures. |

Diamond bank is sick my brother and the sickness is feasible. If you must buy Diamond at this point, it should be on your knowledge of TA. Fundamentally the bank is a no no. |

stay clear of the juju stock for now listen to Agba advice minute ago as quoted "" I actually like this line. Let me add: There is ALWAYS money to be made in NSE You miss one opportunity, you WAIT for another "" I cannot understand why someone would still want to buy FO now. The TA advocates themselves are running away from the juju stock . |

currentprice: just saw the bolded. i agree with u sir I am grateful to you for calling my attention to it as I have started selling down my holdings this morning. I have looked at it again pulling out q1 and q2 from my archives. There is a mix up somewhere and what I took to be q3 from the latest figure is not correct. Help me look at the two results.

The result was disappointing to me. I had expected a negative reaction from the market today but alas the opposite is the case. Q3 on a stand alone basis was very bad. |

Manonamission: In terms of financial prospects? potential price appreciation? or what exactly?
I hope you realised from my initial post that my comparison is time based, that is, the state of company's books as at the time they returned to profitability. Hence this statement "Same thing some folks said when Dangflour reported their first quarterly profit". It's easier for Seplat to commence dividend payment to shareholders than it was for Dangote flour when it returned to profitability. There was a change of ownership with dangote flour and that alone was enough to send the price upward. Dangote flour is also a small company compared to seplat and the sectors in which the two operate are not the same. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 11:12am On Oct 23, 2017 |
Manonamission: Same thing some folks said when Dangflour reported their first quarterly profit. Seplat's case is even better. It has a positive retained earnings of N83B and earned N6.8B in Q3'17 alone (eps of N12). Barring any disruptions to their operations and the finalization of deals in the pipeline, this company can easily post a eps of N50 by year end 2018.
Again, not a recommendation to BUY. Just analysing result reported. I want to agree with you that the company made a big improvement in q3 compared to previous quarter. Yes, it presents good capacity to deliver in the near time but comparing it to dangote flour is definitely out of place. |
