The company's near term value is more than immediate value. They just expanded their gas plant capacity to handle 500mmcf per day. The company is the largest supplier of lean gas to NGC. It is also pursuing inorganic expansion by acquiring more oil and gas assets. So, based on all these strategic initiatives, it is actually a good buy at current price.
We have heard that kind of story before.
Me, I no dey buy hope again. grin

Fair price?
I am always very reluctant to quote figure as fair price but I can confidently say that the stock represent a good bargain at current price.

Look fwd to your comments on Fidelity !
Q2 was solid for Fidelity. We wait to see what q3 results will look like as traditionally tier 2 banks have a history of very weak performance in q3.

boss you remember our post on this bank and gtb when their Q2 out months ago grin
Yes, I still remember.
I have to admit that zenith q3 is an improvement over q2
-impairment charges is down from about 42b in 1/2 year to just
4.6b in q3
-percentage of trading income to gross income has also come
down.
Those were my major concern with zenith in q2.

I am impressed with zenith latest result while I am dissapointed with uba.
Will likely reduce my exposure to uba and buy some zenith shares if the price is right.

Many of us are optimistic that 4th Quarter Results we bring the much awaited bull, but as we are also getting into the uletide season when a lot of people would need money. School fees, then the festive season. Can we be too optimistic?

Seems to me that gtb, okomu, presco, dangote sugar and a few others have already stolen the show!
I am having a rethink about my position on presco and okomu.
The words on the street is that government is planning to review the policy on importation of PKO. Don't know how true this is but there are all kinds of imported oil flooding our market on daily basis already.. Caution now is my watchword.

Where could Diamond Bank be headed for. Fingers want to click buy but sense is saying wait.

Let companies release result na. They will be busy doing first to blink.
What is happening in Diamond bank in my own opinion is more than good or bad result.
Something is going on that we don't know of yet.

In my own judgement, Diamond at N1 is a bargain.

Do you think that spike in finance cost, administrative cost and others are things to worry about because I believe that in the view of their aggressive marketing, increase products production and distribution which result is their superlative performance in all financial variables. Naturally there will be increase in production expense as a consequence of aggressive production, i think it is a clear economic reality.
I am positive about DS going forward. What i observed is just a sign of something which needs further confirmation. When we see Q3 result we will be able to say if there is any reason to be worried or not.

Both stocks are wonderful with alot of inherent and hidden values. Dangote companies are very good and well managed but I have observed that they are highly inertia in price fluctuations and volatility hence making it highly recommendable for investors not traders as exemplified by Pa.Ewumi. grin.
Pls Pluto, where were your perceived observations you were not comfortable with in q2 of DF result as I have a substantial amount that I have designated and placed for long term.
A significant portion of the profits in q2 is from other income which means the company actually made less money from its operations in q2 than q1....
And finance cost, administrative and distribution expenses ,all jumped up by almost 100% from q1 to q2.. .

Monthly RSI at over 3 yr High
Monthly chart shows inverse H& S with break above neckline (reversal pattern)
Weekly looks like a Cup & Handle
so many good things here
stop loss 5.90
grin

i dont think Sugar will wait for Flour sha ! both bullish

IMO:
highly recommended for long hold
Both are good stocks to hold.
.We are coming out of recession.
.sugar and wheat are still selling at low price at the global market.
.Dangote can still source dollars at a relative cheaper rate.

I am though more bullish about DS than GF as there are one or two things I am not comfortable with in DF q2 result.

Also remove the patch patch they called net fair value on available for sale security
They did not use the gain in fair value on available for sale security in calculating the eps.
Fair result in my own assessment, better than q2.
My major worry is the escalating operation expenses, they need to do something about it.

cha! i never look into insurance stock except custodian until pluto09 mention this company hours ago. the numbers in here are so good grin grin

N3 stock base on Q2 but it is insurance company sha grin
Yeah, very good numbers.
I have been looking and looking at it for sometimes now but my major constraint is liquidity.
I placed a buy order for some tasere units today at 0.66k but seem nobody was willing to sell at that price.

na liquidity issue you day raised now when the driver already get set grin grin

i don't use to look back once the valuation is much attractive because i know pple will come for it when they detect such value grin grin

though there is one stock that is of good value in the mkt even right now but i dare not go there because of liquidity problem. even if i want to buy, can't see enough unit and am very sure it will be difficult to sell if one able to get in. the liquidity is even affecting it share price self grin grin grin

i have bought into some of the illiquid stock in the past but can't buy this one
