onegentleguy: I have thanked 'Nsempaly' those that afforded me the rare oppurtunity to add a little more to my DF bag today. But for the record, I wish to categorically state here that those who sold could be friends with Mr LAMENTATION sooner than later.
btw, I hope folks are seeing the growing push for the CAVERTON airline. ...like I said yesterday, this guy is still warming up. ...Our 'hot money brothers' shall soon hot it up. ...they are here to feast.
NOTE: For some select coys, I fell in love with Mr TIME a long time ago after a few revelations. ...U do not have to.
DD advised as always pls. All this talk about those who sold DF is not necessary. We are all adults and are responsible for our actions. Do your analysis and move on and let those who sold one stock or the other bear their own cross. |

though if i add depreciation for DF will have little cash left.
if the free cash of DF no improve by 4th quater, can Alhaji borrow more to satisfy us? next DF report will guve more clue
Trust alhaji, he doesn't burden his companies with unnecessary debt. A big chunk of that debt in DF is for LC, will post the details tomorrow when I'm less busy. The man just used style collect money to pay for cheap wheat in advance. Alhaji na smart guy |

Let's even look at d current order in mkt cap sef
GTbank N1.32 trillion Zenith N941.89 bln ETI N438 bln Stanbic N420 bln UBA N386 bln FBN N361 bln Access N325 bln
Do u reckon this order will change before yr end ? if so pls what are your projections ? Our FA's in d hse GTB will continue to lead... Zenith bank will continue to play catch up... Don't know what ETI is doing at no 3, will probably be displaced ... Stanbic is a premium stock and will continue to be.. . If FBN releases better results, will definitely move up in the ranking. .. UBA and access will continue with their gidigbo but I am tipping UBA to win the fight... |

Investnow2017: Gents why are we not talking about UBA? Access and UBA right now are moving like FCMB and Diamond. Why are we concentrating on Access? I am just curious though. Are we saying that UBA does not possess all the characteristics that describe ACCESS right now? UBA is equally good, different appeals for the two stocks. Couldn't decide on which one to pick between the two, split the money into 2 and bought both . |

Agbalowomeri: Imagine your portfolio had been 100% diamond all along In my world diversification increases your risk No sir, it actually reduces my risk. With Diamond, it could also have gone the other way. There is always something an outsider doesn't know about a stock no matter how good it might be looking. And besides, I should be able to sleep well at night with my stock selection. Imaging we have some bad news coming out of Diamond today just like it happened with CI, .... |

mendes911: My portfolio was widely diversified until I locked in profit. Am only being human by complaining about Access, though I understand why it has refused to move but am yet to understand the motive behind the sustained dumping.
Well, someone dumped Diamond at N1.00 (I do wonder how this person will be feeling by now) and made it possible for us to embark. Let this Access guy do and leave. Yes, I am also not too comfortable with the price action and I have taken the necessary step to protect myself. It could be positive like Diamond and it could go the other way. We are all working under probability, nothing is like sure thing in this market unless you are alhaji who owns DF, DS, uncle T who is in control of UBA, Transcpro, or Aig himself who can see everything that is happening in access. My no 1 rule is not to loose money and every other things will follow. |

DeRuggedProf: My Oga, is ACCESS a good buy by your own criteria? What is your own Fair price. My projection is that a stock like access should not be selling at a forward p/e of less than 10. You can extrapolate that with their q3 results to arrive at a figure for fair price. I have put a cap on the number of units I can buy in access as I am not too comfortable with the price action in recent times. |

mendes911: Until the entity offloading gets done, Access will remain stagnant. For the entity to have the mind to dump about 7M at market open says a lot about him.
Access might retest 10.50 again by Friday.
We will keep waiting. Such a silly stock. That is why some level of diversification might be healthy for investors. A stock might have all the parameters that make a good buy but the price will not move as expected . If you have other stocks that are doing well you don't have to worry yourself about access .At its own time, the price will reflect the underlined fundamentals. |

BullBearMkt: DO YOU KNOW THE MARKET IS YET TO DETERMINE ITS DIRECTION THIS YEAR? Twice I have written this posts yesterday and also deleted it the same number of times. Reasons being that I don't want to be labelled as an Alarmist and I really want people to continue enjoying the ongoing rally in NSE. However, I owe my conscience a duty to post information I think will benefit at least one person.
No doubt, lot of money is made using price and volume for technical analysis. Now focusing on the last 2 trading days in 2018, what I see is that the market is yet to make decision on where is driving the NSE index. Market opened on 02/01/18 and closed a little above its open after bears took the price lower. The next day, 03/01/18, NSE index briefly enjoyed the rally but closed below the open price. Looking at the volume, yesterday's volume which dragged the index price down is twice more than Tuesday's volume. Each day creating pin-bar! As shown in chart 1.
This is summed-up on Weekly and Monthly chart as shown in Chart 2 as indecision.
What this means technically, is that investors are yet to decide whether to continue pumping more money into the market (which will cause the rally to continue) or take money out.
Chart of NGSE 30 companies is encouraging with a "positive indecision". Chart 3.
Next couple of days will unmask the plans of Market Makers and Smart Monies. Keenly to watch out for is the volume as related to price action. Possibly the rally can continue or temporary pullback could show up...
MY TAKE -General market direction is unclear -Patience needed for any new entry -To buy any stock, buy at support level (or retrace/pullback) and not at 52 week high
PLAN YOUR TRADES AND TRADE YOUR PLANS You are a pro. I dey feel you |

RabbiDoracle: You will just get HBP!!!
You will be making money for the stockbroker!
If you invested N1m and it drops by 2%, you will sell off.
Let's get a better understanding of your strategy:
You buy a stock X at N1 and the broker charges you 1.5% on your buy. You will pay N15,000 to your broker first. Then they will use the remainder to buy you stock X. You will get 985,000 units.
If after buying, stock X loses 2%, you will sell off. 2% loss on N1 buying price is 98kobo. So you will sell 985,000 units at 98kobo. Amount that would be realised will be N965,300.
Broker says that you will pay 1.8% for the sell commission. So you pay N17,375.44!!!
You have a final value of N947,924.6 in your portfolio.
Now let's see who is gaining/losing amongst the market, the broker and you.
You: N1,000,000 - N947,924.6 = N52,075.4
Market: 2% of your sum invested (N985,000) = 0.02 X N985,000 = N19,700
Broker: buy + sell commission= N15,000 + N17,375.4= N32,375.4
What this means is that a greater percentage of the money you lost went to the broker
And that is (32,375.4 ÷ 52,075.4) X 100%= 62% of the money you lost went to the broker. While market only took 38%.
Stop working for the brokers!!! Good analysis. I however think fxuser is a master of his game and he might be doing well than most FA guys here. |

I am inn already though I plan to buy more in a routine portfolio rebalancing and sizing. You also like flourmills but I am not convinced about its prospects. One, the first two quarters were good for them last year just like this year but the last two quarters were not impressive so making a projection about the full year earnings based on the first two quarters is difficult Two, I don't like a company with high debt profile. Three, with the proposed right issue, dillution is coming reducing the eps in the short to medium term. |
