.... federal government so far has spent 10 trillion naira to restore and bring them back...but cannot bring the refineries back till now with 10 trillion naira spent so far... because of corruption and government officials diverting some of the 10 trillion naira to their bank accounts to enrich themselves...so the more money is pumped into the refinery by federal government the more the government officials will divert the money to their bank accounts and enrich themselves
Port Harcourt and warri refinery are under rehabilitation

Ibeto doesn't produce cement..he imports and rebag... Nigeria is self sufficient and doesn't need to import any more

The rest of the companies retaining licenses produces cement locally

Dangote is a crooked monopoly shark. He will never reduce the price of his overpriced cement. He would rather increase it.

If you think his new refinery will reduce fuel prices when it starts production, think again.
Lol..but it never promised..it only promised end of importation and scarcity..
If government doesn't pay him subsidy..he will sell at international rate..

You obviously are unable to make yourself heard on a public forum without putting your poor parental upbringing on display. This is obviously not Tinubu's fault, even if he probably also lacked proper upbringing himself.
You need to get a life Son ...all your comment are always without cognitive reasoning..
Unnecessary hatred and bigotry will rot your brain real soon..

It's funny how, People will choose to play dumb even in clear cases only to satisfy their hatred and foolishness..

You could have just keep scrolling if you really weren't happy about BUA... than to dig up rubbish to back your self inflicted headache..

The last license for cement import was issued during Obasanjo tenure .. it only takes on Google search to confirm and Nigeria will not go down that route again to import ..

Aside the new lines coming from BUA.. there is a new cement plant under construction in Kogi plus a planned site for a new cement in Ogun by Dangote.. the big players will continue to build plants to meet demands..

If you are pained ..produce 30bn and approach the govt for approval to build your own plant..

Rubbish!.

These thieves have been fleecing everybody and their gate man under the protection of Buhari, their kinsman. Now, it appears their monopoly was about to be broken by granting import permission to more merchants. That is what we are seeing.

The Chagoury's are about to enter the cement business. All they are doing now is to ward off likely competition.
Be deceiving yourself.. Nigeria can never grant license to import cement..with which dollars...did anybody tell you there is a supply problem?

If Chagoury enter cement business.. it can never be to import..

Entry Level / Fresh Graduate - Anything less than 200k is slavery
Mid Level - Anything less than 350k, be in the job market and look for better offers
Senior - If you are a senior person in your career, anything less than 500k is slavery. Rethink your options.

People are earning N2M and above monthly with less than 10 years experience. Its all about gaining skills, certifications and experience in the right companies.

The best industries to work are Banking, BIG 4, Oil and Gas and Telecommunications. Forget Tech, unless you have years of experience, entry level pay is peanuts.
How is banking amongst the best sad

When you visit major cities in developing countries..do you see okada littering everywhere.. or they don't have poor people there?.. do you see cows in moving on major highways or eating grasses in their parliament building like it happened during buhari time...

You folks should stop acting like this
Because they are poor they should constitute nuisance...let them go to places where bikes are not prohibited and do their business..

We can’t escape the dollar for now, but we can reduce its demand in Nigeria…

By solving the problem directly and not through jargon solutions.. Like we must tighten our monetary policy.. Does that solution sound legit to you..

It’s one of the big grammars they use to decive people…

Ask them what that stupid policy mean..
That's it...there is no policy..

The solution is simply...

Provide local substitute for what we imports..it means we need more industries , factories..more Dangote that will look at a sector in the economy that is entirely dependent on imports like cement years ago and build Industry to reverse it...I don't care weather he is given monopoly or not ..that is not the issue... it's better one man has the monopoly but it is produce locally..than to be importing the same thing from several companies abroad with scarce forex
