I believe it's your opinion, and not necessarily the majority's
I believe whether APC or pdp, the candidate that emerges will sway votes of the people. For example, If APC choose GEJ and pdp choose Atiku, you can't tell me APC will not win SS and SE Also if APC chooses PYO, He's surely gonna make SS/SE at least a battleground for PDP. Overall I feel 2023 is APC's to lose and pdp can only wait for decision mistakes from them to capitalize on Its not just his opinion, every opinions are sentimental in all aspect and to really shock u, i tilt 100percent towards his opinion. Make power stay in north. Some southern fools cant sabotage another and later wants those he sabotaged to support him, mba... It can never be. |

There's so much poverty in that state. All the buildings and factories have no effect or are yet to affect positively on the people.

The social investment programs trillions have been sunk into, how has it benefited nigerians? Lemme tell u something, if other govrs attracted half of what this govr is attracting to akwaibom, unemployment rate would have reduced. How old were u when gej was the president abeg... What n what happened? Remind me The sharing formula hasnt change, whether oil was sold at 120dolls per barrel or 20dolls per barrel, the sharing formula is still d same. I also know when oil was selling at 120dolls,price of fuel was higher, subsidy too increased for every litre of fuel imported. Also the cost of drilling each barrel of crude was higher too. But did u know when gej removed subsidy back in 2012,fuel was sold at 140+ per litre at international markets, and Nigeria was selling at 67naira per litre. Fast forward to 2015, crude oil crashed to 26dollars per barrel, buhari removed subsidy, instead of fuel selling at less than 30naira per litre, it went upwards to 140+ per litre. Grand pa, u know nothing about Nigeria, u rely on those frustrated illiterates who don't have money to buy newspaper but would be seen in every newspaper stand arguing blindly. Felimax: THEY DISPLAYED MY MOCK COFFIN PUBLICLY~ Jonathan.
Photographs Of My Mock Coffin Traumatised My Mother Who Lost Eight Children, Says GEJ Former President Goodluck Jonathan says pictures of his mock coffin displayed in the media during the anti-fuel subsidy removal protests of 2012 traumatised his aged mother who had lost eight children. Jonathan said this in his recently published book titled, My Transition Hours. The former President said, “The protests continued unabated. In all of these, one woman I pitied most was my aged mother who was with me in the State House. “Every day, she watched on television protesters carrying a casket with my picture on it and having the inscription ‘Rest In Peace.’ “I could imagine her trauma. This is a woman who had 10 live births with only my elder sister and I surviving.” Jonathan said during the protests, several notable Nigerians visited him, asking him to reverse the increment in the pump price of petrol. Some of the prominent Nigerians who visited him include: General-Overseer, Living Faith Mission (Winners Chapel) Bishop David Oyedepo; Primate of the Anglican Church, Rt.Rev Nichola Okoh and eight other clerics. He said what was more disheartening was the fact that the opposition in Lagos had hijacked the protests. Jonathan added that even the Nigeria Labour Congress which had been briefed on the matter before the subsidy removal was announced was co-opted into joining the protests. The former President added, “In Lagos State for instance, it was like a carnival. Musicians, comedians and other celebrities were engaged by opposition elements to join the protests. Refreshments were served to protesters. “Every morning Lagos State government workers cleaned up the Gani Fawehinmi Park and prepared it for the day’s protests. It appeared as though the protesters were very special guests of the Lagos State Government. Similar scenarios played out in other opposition controlled states.” Jonathan further stated that the House of Representatives, which was led by pro-opposition Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, decided to exploit the situation. He said the House accused him of fleeing the country in a bid to exploit the situation for political gain. The former President added, “The House of Representatives whose Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, was hobnobbing with the opposition (he eventually defected to the opposition) did not help matters. “Thinking that I had left the country for South Africa to attend the centenary celebration of the African National Congress, Speaker Tambuwal convened the House to sit on a Sunday just to condemn the deregulation. “That was the first and only time in Nigeria’s political history that the parliament sat on a Sunday. At that sitting, an opposition member of the House got up to allege that I had abandoned the nation at such a crucial time to join festivities in South Africa. “Unknown to the House, on that same day while they were sitting, I was at Eagle Square to inaugurate mass transit vehicles my administration purchased to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal.” #NB Same People who Occupied Nigeria then suddenly became dumb without Brains anymore.
COPIED! Under the dullard, subsidy have been removed more than 2times n still counting.. The agberos r numbed and praying make God hep dem. Naija na cruise. The issue GEJ had was he was so democratic and Humane. Before GeJ removed subsidy he discussed with all stakeholders, govrs and labour unions, they agreed. They state governors even made proposal for the funds saved from subsidy be shared amongst states. GeJ accepted, this is where my issue was, why share the funds amongst states when states r the number one pilferer of resources? The same state govrs went back and betrayed the entire stuff using it against GEJ. Has Nigeria been better after all these years? We hate good things but embrace evil deeds. Gej lost because he said damn public assets declaration. Nigerians went amock, today the angel that promised to declare his assets publicly and also mandate his ministers to do same, the man that promised to stop foreign medical trips and fix our healthcare is juunketting the globe with scarce funds looking for bed to lay and be checked. God punish those who supports this evil, demonic regime |

They went to erect illegal structures in order to collect compensation and marching ground. This road was awarded since 2016..monies budgetted... I passed that road, no illegal structures that will warrant the contractors not to commence work. Great job!! Cocoa is coming back as a top forex earner and probably explains the high IGR is the SW states like Oyo and Osun. Kudos to all the Patriots, especially to the farmers ,the hardworking patriotic CBN Governor,Mr Emefiele, and his team at CBN for your intervention in the agricultural industry . Please don't relent and don't allow them to frustrate you. You will overcome even the current challenges posed by currency speculators and those supporting the unpatriotic actions of the currency speculators because they hate President Muhammadu Buhari and/or they are benefiting from the unpatriotic currency speculators.
In the same country where some are cursing themselves and lamenting online, some are idling away online, some hoarding dollars to create scarcity and resell at profit and some actively enabling capital flight by using naira to buy cryptocurrency hosted in foreign nations , these patriotic farmers ignored all the negative people, toiled hard and today bringing in high amount of forex into the country. God bless them. This is a proof that you don't need to steal from government or be a drug trafficker or internet fraudster to earn USD. Agriculture is doing it for these farmers big time! We should start looking at investing in the value chains of these agricultural products so we can export less of the raw produce and more of the finished products from the raw materials e.g import chocolate instead of cocoa beans.
If you are considering going into agriculture, these data can give you a clue on where to pitch your tent. You can produce the raw agriculture produce or manufacturer finished products from the raw materials or provide logistics to support these emerging and thriving forex earning agricultural produce.

FreeStuffsNG: Seems most people commenting did not read to understand that he is giving the true reality on ground and giving an intellectual angle for this unusual scenario. For example, few days ago, a Nairalander bought eggs, plantain, carrots, vegetables etc yet he spent barely N1000 or less than N1000, https://www.nairaland.com/6755350/see-foodstuffs-bought-950-naira that same quantity of food in US cost way more than $1.50 so it means locally the purchasing power of the naira is still strong .
The man just raised an intellectual poser and it is the reality that require more research.
My guess is that the intervention by CBN in agriculture really helped and the pressure on the naira could be because of speculators, cryptocurrency and rationing of forex by CBN.
I appreciate Punch for dropping their bigotry and hatred against PMB and for being honest enough to report such a fresh perspective on the forex and naira value issue. We r talking 500naira, u r listing things someone bought with 1000naira. Can't u see there is difference? The boy said he has rice and garri already... Lets assumed there is no garri or rice, will he fry that thing and eat like that? Lets also factor the mode of cooking it, gas or stove, Can the 500naira buy even 0.3kg of gas or 0.3litres of kero plus the food he or she will cook? Bread now is 250, satchet milk is 70naira, sugar is 2cubes 10naira, lipton tea is 20naira a satchet. That is 350. U go boil water with sun and use. |

As for recovery, it is on 'best effort basis'. The bank would try their best but 99% of the time, the scammers must have wiped the whole funds in the receiving account and abandoned the account. So what happened to KYC forms and every other docs needed to open an account? The issue is if these guys are insiders in the bank, then they will never try to trace the account these transfers entered. Imagine reporting a case of theft to someone who committed the crime, and u want him to help u investigate... U go wait taya.
