Ad+:Agenda:A list, plan, what is to be discussed or achieved.-New Oxford English Dictionary. You might want to define what you mean by 'good governance',and its performance indicators. @topic I never expected anything more from the village idiot, afterall Nigerians voted for Luck and not any agenda.Thank God i'm not counted amongst the clueless. |
Can't say i'm surprised though, the kite was flown briefly late last year, but nobody took it serious. We were busy being distracted by Mallam Adamu Ciroma and the zoning palava. |
Now we know the real 'transformational agenda'. For those who think the Clueless One will not be a beneficiary, just remember that no law can have retroactive effect.Which means after 2015,GEJ can run for a fresh term of 7yrs,that is if this proposal is allowed to pass. |
@OP How do you want us to comment logically when your excerpt/post is so disjointed and incoherent. @ekt_bear No,if there is to be a do-over election in Anambra today,Obi will still win. An administration's performance is not judged by the incoherent rantings of characters who were shoved out in the scheme of governance, but by the parameters of what it purposed to achieve at inception, the resources available to it,how such resources were applied and what it has a achieved at the end of the day, taking into account the challenges it has to surmount. On that score,Obi has done very well. |
OAM4J:Throw in any number of Senior Special Assistants,Special Assistants,Executive Assistants,Personal Assistants and then,of course,Assistants to Special Advisers/Special Assistants, then you talk of real waste. What a breath of 'foul air'. |
Why do govt after govt in Nigeria talk about import regulation policy as a means of boosting local manufacturing?.Haven't they heard of infrastructural development as a means of attracting investors, local or foreign.BTW,all the talk of import regulation is simply blowing hot air unless they take us out of the WTO.Some posters here need to read up and get themselves informed before they show themselves up as ignoramuses. |
chamber2:Excuse me,what exactly did Soludo achieve while in office to make him stand a collosus?.Making our banks too big to fail with thieving execu-thieves?.FYI,i dnt agree with everyone of SLS' policies, but on monetary matters n financial sanity,he is way better than Soludo. And before anyone responds to this post with tribal rants, know that i am igbo from Nnewi and i am just calling it as i see it. BTW,the thread's header should be changed ASAP,its totally misleading. |
Running free education up to secondary school level should prove no hard task, many commenters here are forgetting that there is such a thing called UBE with funding coming from the UBE Commission for the revamping of dilapidated infrastructure.Couple that with the slash in security votes and maybe one or two of the perks of Imo office holders and free, qualitative education with assured funding will be guaranteed Imo citizens.Rochas is on the right path. |
I sure hope you guys are done with your silliness.Back to topic, the ACN proffered solution is the best in this circumstance.Empty boasts n use of force will accomplish nothing since boko haram will only meet force with force. Some peopl's heads at our security organisations and the presidency ought to have known this. Its refreshing to have them being taught how to do their job by an party in opposition. |
Jakumo: Limaoscar:I see you guys are running for the post of edjuts, you are almost there.Keep it up. |
I can't believe i'm typing this,but for once i agree with them,Ringim should resign. |
Dele Sobowale-Frankly Speaking, the only reason i read Vanguard these days. |
@wesley80 I'm now sure there is a prize for idjut if you cannot comprehend the excerpts you posted.Reading from your excerpts shows there were cabals on both sides of the divide then. |
Shouldn't blatant stupidity as being displayed by the OP be a criminal offence in Nigeria of today?. |
', here they hang a man first and then try him later' . Moliere 1622-1673. Has boko haram claimed responsibility for this blast or is there something i'm missing?.I think we should be a bit more circumspect in assigning responsibility for this act,at least until the law enforcement agencies carry out a comprehensive investigation. We don't want to have to eat humble pie a la Oct.1 |
The time for him to die is long overdue.I'm happy they pushed him into the crosshair. |
Well,i don't know enough about BAT's background to term him an 'omo ale' ,but Bakare is very right in calling PDP and ACN two sides of a coin,in fact, they are two sides of a very bad coin. |
@Poster From your rants above, you are assuming i'm a northerner, big mistake. To the body of your comment,i take it your head was hidden in the sands when PDP was making overtures to the ACN prior to the inauguration of the 7th assembly.Get it into your skull that the ACN is wise to PDP's poison pill. Again, tell me why the ACN would move against a speaker they practically installed with help from other elements in the house.Your entire posts (rants as i see them),makes no sense, hence they are silly. |
@Alxmyr See who is being fool-ish,the speakership of the HOR does not belong to any party, majority or otherwise, the entire house members are consttitutionally empowered to elect their speaker from amongst themselves which 252 of them did in electing Tambuwal. The only post constitutionally allocated to any party is the public account committee's chairmanship which must go to the official opposition. The Speaker can only be removed via impeachment by 2/3rd majority of all members which PDP do not have.Educate yourself a little bit before you show yoursel as being ignorant on threads like this, the constitution is your friend. |
@Poster Stupid post. First,PDP cannot suspend Tambuwal,he will simply decamp to CPC or ACN while retaining his Speakership. Secondly,he was elected by more than two-third majority of the house. To remove him,you need two-third of all members. How is the PDP going to achieve that when they don't have the numbers. Its high time PDP/GEJ apologists got it into their skulls that the beat has changed in nigerian politics.Nigerians conducted the funeral service of zoning during the April elections, their representatives simply finished the burial rites. BTW,the aftermath of the elections has clearly shown we have more tribalists in the South of Nigeria than previously thought. All that diatribe about northern agenda/frustrating GEJ presidency is bunkum, the man can no longer hide behind his finger if he does not perform. As things look now,i'm not holding out any hopes. |
@Akainzo Thank you for a brilliant take down of a useless post, brilliant analyses too. |
Free,fair n credible elections indeed.Tell me something i didn't know. |
What do you expect when uncle Jona was doling out #10 mil. for dead corps members rather than fish out their killers;that presupposes that the F.G will pay any amount for live ones. |
How come one still get to be majority leader?.Did their defection give APGA the majority in the house?. |
@Poster Have you taken your meds. yet?. |
@Poster I thought you said the tests were conducted by KPMG or did i miss something?. Anyhow,if you have a letter of appointment from the civil service commission, then you might have a case.If not, like i wrote earlier, you've been had. Dozieson:- |
@Poster If truly you were posted to work in an agency under the ministry of agricultureas a civil servant, then you've been had.Constitutionally, only the state civil service commission can employ civil servants and deal with their job description, postings, evaluations and such. As it is,you were never employed by the goverment of Imo state. Dozieson: Dozieson: |
@dozieson What was your job description,if i may ask?. Dozieson: |
It would be asinine for the EFCC to use the immunity excuse for their unwillingness to do the right thing in this case, legislators do not enjoy immunity. If there is a case against Bankole,he should be arrestes and prosecuted. |
Just yesterday,Jonathan promised to fight corruption, today his party is promoting it in furtherance of his objectives. If they can do this while the wood is still green, what would happen when it is dry?. |
Less than 24hrs after inauguration, they have already started.I'm just waiting for all those 'I voted for GEJ,not PDP' to explain this away.Another 4 yrs wasted already. |
