Freshprince91: Whenever i get into conversation with riders and they tell me Ambode's government was people's friendly, i tried to argue with them but what happened to me yesterday made me agree with them 100%. During Ambode's regime, most of these road charlatans were taken off the road except you beat the traffic light, take a clear cut BRT lane on the mainland or parked illegally, that is when you'll be arrested. There's a route from outer Marina that leads to TBS, i think the road is divided into 3 or so (left side with a BRT divider takes you to TBS while the middle lane with a ramp to ikoyi and Victoria island on the right. I used to ply the TBS route while i was working at the building construction because it was my fastest and convenient route to Obalende from Maryland (BRT terminal) and i do see cars, buses heading to TBS trail those BRT back then . So yesterday, after dropping off a rider at Broadstreet from Yaba , I headed for my usual spot, ikoyi, and a request came in from TBS when i got to Igbosere to connect Moloney . Called the rider, who told me she's heading to Dolphin estate, ikoyi. Perfect i said! Told her to walk through the TBS gate that I'll be waiting for her right at the exit gate, she said no, that she doesn't know her way around, told her to ask anyone, that she would be directed, she said i should come to the BRT terminal. If i had the premonition that the short 600 naira trip would cost me 20k and my entire day, may be i would have rejected it, after all i have made #4500 card trips as at 8am. Put on my map to navigate my way to TBS (BRT terminal) only for me to find myself on the small BRT divider i used to travel on. Got there and those LASTMA officials flagged me down and asked why i was on that lane and i told them, its the only way to TBS. They said ever since Sanwo-Olu came in, he enacted a bye-law that cars should stop plying the route, that it was meant for BRT alone and i was like, i am not new to this area even though i haven't been here in 6 months but that doesn't mean cars don't take this route to TBS and moreover ,the other lane were free and its not like i was in a hurry, if you guys wanted to arrest me for beating traffic. While i was talking, 2 Hilux vehicles came out from the white building under that bridge and took that same route i was nabbed for and they didn't say anything and i asked why ? They couldn't mutter a word before i could say Jack, one grabbed my key and asked me to come in or else, he would drive down to Olowu, Sura without me. I did all i could to settle the issue out of their office but those guys were not having any of my pleas. Immediately we got to their office, one of the LASTMA officer said so many unprintable words i didn't utter, so many lies that i couldn't defend. I made some calls and one LASTMA official my brother knew came through. After all said and done, he said they booked me already because i tried to prove stubborn and i told him how i pleaded and had to accept my undoing but none of them listened. Long story short, they made me path with 20k as minimum fine, they even asked me to go do photocopies of the payment slip. Immediately, i got my car, i just drove back home angered at what transpired between that morning and how i was sure cars ply that route but what can i do? This is a country where the powerful find every means to extort the commoners . I haven't been able to bring myself to work since 11am yesterday. Sorry boss, at no time should you follow a lasma officer to his office, unless on Friday evening after 6 or weekend. Couple of time I've said how I gave them 3k/4k without deliberating if I'm wrong/right, its easy to get over that and quickly drive to make up than when you r being held against your will, I can tell how it demoralise one. You need to get back to work boss, mistake made once is no mistake, affliction on similar matter should not raise again, then you can hold yourself responsible. |

Brovthese is the odds that are stacked against us in the biz.. These biz is not a longtime game, it should be a means to and ends, a stepping stone to another..
Men i don't understand how life don't mean anything to some people, they kill at will, cut, break people head and above all Put there life at risk embarking on such fight. Crazy, how did they turn into these monsters, that little baby that there mother gave birth to, very cut and innocent now turning into these monsters..they don't have morals anymore. Drug, weed, bad parental up bring & so on turned dem against humanity. Life is already useless to them, so they are numb and can't find any good in other people, deh find fulfillment in passing dia frustration on others. You see those guys breaking cars for phone, how much do you think they sell those phones? They are under influence and u can't reason with someone that is not mentality sound. I don't see them as problem per say, the real problems are the government and community that harbours them, it cost nothing to go after these people, but it seems yahoo boiz r d real threat and our leaders will need dem at some point in time to recharge dia career. |

ajoks533: I think drivers should iron something out with Uber/bolt on certain danger zones. There should be a way to send out red flags on areas where there is chaos or riots like mushing. So that anyone going there would be doing so at their own but with lille extra profit. I hope so too. |

Please anytime you are close to your monthly --- Please always start wearing your guard a day or two days before the expected day in order to avoid stories that touch and there by reducing to lowest possibilities of it taking you unaware. Monday morning like this na him one rider massively stained my car seat (owner's side). It was my next rider that drew my attention to it. she cancelled the ride immediately and requested for another ride. I had to go to a nearby store to buy pure water, detergent, hypo, sponge and small hand towel to tidy up. Had to wait for about one hour for it to dry a bit before I continue the hustle. Thanks. Sorry boss... Some days r like dat |

donfortune48: Guys I had a terrible experience yesterday, at mushin end of ladipo street.
I was dropping off a rider, didn't know that cult boys were Fighting.
All of a sudden people started running, then I saw boys coming out from a street on my left (50metres ahead). I tried to make a sharp turn to a street on my right but I have passed the street a little bit so I needed to go back a little before I can turn in cos there are bikes parked at that junction. Immediately I engaged reverse, one of them started approaching me with a big stainless Cutlass. I moves back with speed not knowing that Keke is already at my back trying to run into the same street with me and had to hit him. When they boys saw what was happening, they all started running towards me (about 20+ boys, all with glittering machetes) I had to drive into the street like that, hitting one bike into the gutter. I ran to the end of the street and saw that the street is blocked, I and my rider just ran away to diff direction not knowing that they have stopped chasing me.
When they moved to another street and people started coming back from their hiding points. I came out and saw that they went straight to the sienna that was coming behind me when I made the turn. Then man jumped down and ran away too. They broke all the glasses on that car ( the windscreen front and back and all the glasses).
I saw the bike I hit into the gutter, it's bent on an Angle 45°. The owner came to me and said Oga I no blame you for what happened, I know you were running for your life. That he will not ask me to fix the bike for him cos he equally left the bike there and ran away. That I should give him just 1k, he will complete it and fix his bike.
This was a terrible experience. I went down to Domino's at ilupeju, parked and went into a deep sober reflection for over an hour.
Had I not escaped, what would have been my faith? Hmmm, deep sign. I glorify His name on your behalf boss, we should just keep praying not to become a victim of bad timing and ambush. I've been to mushin today and had to drive out of dia in no time, got to Akoka and another rider requested for a trip, she's going mushin, I had to cancel while she rant all she could. Honestly, dia is something about that neighbourhood I just don't like.

northbird: Boss, don't be bothered, you will get good riders that will shore up your ratings.
There are inherently good and bad riders on these platforms.
I don't get it, these pampering of riders on toxify pisses me off, customer is right, hehen , they r paying , hehen n so,
because you r paying, I shd enter the lagoon with d car or destroy the car.
Becos you ordered a car, I should destroy my shock absorbers cos of you.
Baggage that danfo will refuse, you want to stuff it into a sedan. Even as big and powerful as an aeroplane is, there is a limit of luggage you can carry.
@The Pope. The ratings shall rise again. Sure boss, I don't tell riders to rate me. Once d trip is good deh just let it slide, but once deh is any misunderstanding, deh intentional wait to hit u |
