modath:What pain? |
The world oil juggernaut are done with making money off Nigeria at this time. The shale oil producers (plus regular) in the west and Arab oil moguls have decided to free up Nigeria. Watch as the price of oil tumbles below $34pb at the news of cessation of hostilities and planned addition of output form Nigeria. Then, they would find another oil producing country (maybe Venezuela) to disrupt. |
ratiken:He was right to the last dot. Almost prophetic. Those are the kind of people who have the gumption to see beyond what the masses are brainwashed with. |
Yet, the only university owned by the Lagos State government, Lagos State University (LASU) suffered massive deaccreditation of its academic programs. More than half of its programmes were deaccredited by NUC. The once leading law faculty in the entire country has now stopped admission into its law degree programme even while a senior lawyer was running the state. That is how 'transformed' Lagos has been. |
"Only the enemies of Buhari are complaining of hardship." -Pastor Femi Adesina, 2016 |
socialmediaman:Very unintelligent. Nigeria already experimented with 'seasonal' unintelligent change of government through overthrow of one military regime by another in the name of 'getting it right'. It led to instability, institutional decay, massive poverty and extreme backwardness that we tried to correct for 16 years since 1999. Democracy is not gambling. Smart people around the world based their choices not on 'luck' but on intelligent scrutiny of candidates ability, capability, experience, intellect and verifiable past achievements. They don't just put a whole people's lives on the line because they want to test their baseless hypothesis. They recognize that any lost time can never be regained. Human lives are very precious to them. They don't treat human lives like inanimate objects. Smart people don't deliberately commit suicide to satisfy their ego. Why not concentrate on your gambling career. |
jamesonyebrown:Oga, Dangote is just doing what he has to do. The problem is with this confused/aimless APC government and its supporters who don't know what to do again than putting their HOPE in just one man's business, they are the people bringing this great businessman into their confusion. Dangote would still have sourced his needed forex one way or another. What we have witnessed so far from them and their supporters here is a lack of idea of what really is the problem and what to do. They are clearly overwhelmed by the things (the heavy load) they put on their own head and just hoping or wishing for LUCK. Nothing is thought-through. Nothing is based on credible data or science. Just wishful thinking. Ironically they derided that same 'luck' when they were going up and down then. The unfortunate part is that they are so shameless to push those childish things to the public. Where in the world have you heard that a single refinery in a country is capable of 'solving nearly all' the country's problems? It's disgusting. |
aresa:Don't be silly. Dangote Refinery will not 'nearly solve all' Nigeria’s problems. That is the same way you people said Buhari will solve all your problems. Your must have a very shallow understanding of what constitute Nigeria’s problems. And this speaks to how your mind runs really. After burning all your ten fingers through unrealistic expectations from Buhari's 'omnipotence', it appears you have not learn anything. Unfortunately 2019 will soon arrive and your assumptions will again be shredded when reality stares you in the face. |
EVarn:You people are fond of just picking up your calculators and doing addition and subtraction in any one way that suits your new wishful thinking. How did you arrive at your 40% conservation of forex by Dangote Refinery now ehn? How you people do your arithmetic is not clear, it's more of fictional assumptions than reality. In reality, Dangote would be buying crude oil in dollars as no IOC will accept naira from him in exchange for oil. Not even Folawiyo Petroleum. Your assumptions are based on reduction in oil marketers' demand for dollars but completely ignore the reality that Dangote himself would need forex to buy crude for his refinery. Aside freight cost, it's hard to see how Dangote Refinery will reduce the forex demand by 40%. |
ABAMOWA:And when he aligned with Atiku and Ribadu earlier, what happened? |
He he he he he he he It's looking like Dino has finally given back our people's mojo. From Dr. Abayomi to Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN). It's getting interesting. |
The next phase in Nigerians suffering under this APC government is serious health challenges because people are not eating well anymore. Because of lack of good nutrition people's immunity against diseases are getting weaker. The problem will be compounded by lack of money for hospital treatment. It will push people to take unsafe/unhealthy alternative measures. We have been shouting for months that these would happen. The massacre of farmers in the Nigeria's food basket (middlebelt) will have dire consequences. The pictures of extreme malnutrition you see in Borno's IDP camp might soon be widespread across the country May God help Nigeria. Amen! |
The aspect of social welfare is not complete. Obasanjo raised the minimum wage to N7,500 while Jonathan raised same to N18,000. These were responsible for the growth of the 'middle-class' significantly, while the poverty index arguably reduced. To underscore this, the average teacher even in rural areas started buying cars 'tokunbo' by early 2001, while significant numbers of salaried workers, artisans and blue collar workers constructed their own houses between 2006-2014. The period also witnessed massive investments in children's education by households; in private schools across the country and abroad. What is more? The opening up of university education to private sector participation not only resulted in competition, but also increased access to candidates who would have been denied opportunity of higher education pre-1999. We also witnessed the growth of SMEs. A direct result of business friendly reforms. Red tapes slowing down business registration were cut, as bottlenecks impeding business such as multiple taxation, business dispute/legal administration were fixed. Life expectancy rose significantly as well. The activities of fake drug manufacturers, which largely accounted for untimely deaths in the country were tackled by NAFDAC's 'scientific' and systematic regulations. Other regulatory institutions were allowed to function similarly. |
What do you expect when they have declared Ogun State as an 'Hausa community'(Hausa dominated neighborhood)? You know, the Ogun State police must not disturb the 'Mallam' because an 'average northerner will feel bad' about such disturbance. |
Businessideas:You are tired of ceding Ogun State to Hausa now? So, the place is actually a Yorubaland with full-fledged Yoruba traditional institutions after all? The way you people ranted endlessly on Hausa people's violent tendencies in 'their' community, one would think the incident happened in Zaria or Sokoto. |
Sibrah:Oh! So, Jonathan didn't 'loot' the money again? Are you saying Jonathan actually funded any economic policy heavily? When did you realize this? |
Sibrah:When he budgeted N6.06trn did he plan to implement it with stones? When you people were jubilant about a phantom ZERO budgeting, did you expect it to be funded with water from River Niger? |
There are no economic policies anywhere. Buhari is implementing economic sanctions on Nigerians. |
Fury007:Only the deep can call to the deep. You cannot eat your cake and have it, as they say. You can't field a 99th eleven team and expect a brilliant performance even if the playtime is extended till the following day. You can't match a mediocre village team from Tahiti against Brazil's national team and expect any good thing from the former. That's stupidity. Only gamblers, 'money doublers' and ritualists avoid intelligent analysis in their 'business' and expect good return on investment. Only 'miracle seekers' base their lives' decisions on some mumbo-jumbo. |
lafuria1:Move on to where? Why don't you just keep silent on things you don't know. He said he could pick his phone and use his connections to get forex at the 'official' rates, and make huge returns on arbitrage. They didn't entirely 'float'. The CBN policy on its so-called 'floating exchange regime' says they would still keep the official rates for 'special purpose'. And you are here talking about moving on. Have you asked yourself why the 'official rates' are still being operated? Who told you that you can't get forex from the CBN directly? Were you in Pluto when forex was sold to people going on Hajj at the 'official rate'? Do you know how many of this 'Hajj' type of transactions they do on daily basis? The problem with you guys is over assumption. You do not know what goes on or you assume what you know is the whole story. |
Fury007:Playing to the gallery is not objectivity. It's comical at best and foolishness at worst. |

Long story short. You once worshiped Buhari as a god, who was capable of doing no wrong but you have now turned to the Almighty God. If so, congratulations. Unfortunately, your long 'confession' is but a hypothetical sobbing. An insincere attempt at getting freeing your troubled heart of all the lies and fabrications you once employed to hail your 'former' god. For in your attempt at justifying your 'idolatry', you somehow still came up with untruthful statements about the state of security in the country by leaving out the massacre of hundreds of Nigerians in their farms and homes and wanton destructions of villages by Fulani herdsmen. If you are sincere, you would purge yourself of all glaring insincerity. |
EMERGENCY POWERS TO SUSPEND PROCUREMENT LAWS? Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Finally, APC have found a way to LOOT Nigeria assets. It's now LOOTING to the ground from now on. Congratulations for the 'change' Nigerians. This was their target all along. |
These are sages. Intellectuals! Those who won't lick anyone's feet and feel insecure in any circumstances. These are people who will never worship a human being and would not permit their fellow human beings to worship them. This was before the new kids on the block in the SW took over and started seeing 'visions' of how some bogus 'anti-corruption' diversionary tactics and 'good governance' wishful thinking are a CURE-ALL remedy for every known malady in the country. |
People are talking of survival you are talking of 'cake' and cars. The people who are dead as a result of Buhari's economic sanctions on Nigerians too are corrupt ehn? What about those who can't pay their hospital bills and have to be discharged to go and die at home? The farmers who can't bring his produce to the market due to astronomical increase in transportation costs occasioned by increment in petrol price from N87 to N145 is also corrupt, ehn? The petty trader on the road side who can't afford to buy kerosene at an insane amount is also corrupt right? The states' civil servants earning a paltry N35,000 per month who have not been paid for 6 months are corrupt too? Are people not withdrawing their children from public schools too, Mr Sadist? You people better fear God a little. When God brings his judgment down on you, it shouldn't be a surprise o. |
stayTrue:He is programmed to reason that way. They removed 'facts' from the program algorithm. They are currently 'coding' his brain for similar foolish comments they would have him make in 2017/2018 as we type. He deserves pity from you. |
They feel it's ok for them to hype this, but they will condemn a mother breastfeeding her baby. |
Let the security agencies investigate and bring the culprits to book. When will sarahareporters name Boko Haram and killer Fulani cattlemen's sponsors and sympathizers? |
Fashola is giving us sob story. He didn't have any plans to tackle vandalism but he is expecting results even when his predecessor gave him the advice publicly. They already told them what to expect. The plants were already in place since Obasanjo's administration. The gas pipelines were already laid by Jonathan. More than 5000km additional transmission grid was already being constructed by Jonathan. What exactly do Buhari and Fashola plan to add to these systems and infrastructure? Nothing, it seems. Absolutely nothing. Just to come and sit down and wish vandals away. Wish away all the challenges that have been identified by others and then turn around and blame everything/everyone except themselves? Listen, these sob stories should stop. If you are overwhelmed by the duties of your office, let us know. Obasanjo met a power sector with aged infrastructure, policies and systems, he revamped the policies and set off with the NIPPs projects across the country. Yaradua came and sat on them giving bogus excuses about the costs and wasted so much time on phantom probes. Jonathan took over from there, he clearly identified the challenges of gas to power and promptly fixed it. Gas pipelines were laid. No excuse, to tales. No time. But then, vandals came all the same. He attempted to solve it by giving surveillance and monitoring deals to locals. That solution was roundly condemned by you people and was immediately canceled when you came. Now, provide an alternative so we can see you are better than him, but no, it is one long English story we are hearing. Hey Mr. Man, no one in life plans for adversity, But they do come. No government plans for challenges. But government anticipates rough situation and make provisions for possible solutions. That's why they are called vicissitudes. It's irresponsible to make excuses for challenges in government. Even if you are not in charge of security and protection of those pipelines directly, it is still irresponsible of you to attempt to exonerate yourself as you are doing. What are doing about the vandals now that you know they are the cause of your non-performance? Or have you totally surrendered? Would a central bank governor or any bank CEO tell customers that the safety of their money is not guaranteed because they can't control round tripping? Or what is the example for? idupaul:Gambling is not based on any plans; not based on any reasonable or logical inputs. Imagine a living human being looking for 'dead people' or spirits on Thursdays from which to get 'winning' numbers. Supposedly sane people frantically pursuing lunatics on the street for help. That's how gambling works. The psychology of a gambler defies any rational, thoughtful, scientific pattern of thoughts and actions. And once a gambler is hooked, it would be a miracle to disengage from the stupidity. Each passing day is viewed as the 'lucky' day. Occasional paltry winnings are spent in the most foolish way, then they go back with the hope of hitting the JACKPOT one day, and the circle continues. |
project8:More like a gambler. A chronic, addicted, irredeemable, shameless, unconscionable gambler. |
