He left about 75B in cash and investment, this is even after the retinue of achievements he recorded as governor. That is what you get when you have ppl who understand what is needed to be done than ppl who play to the gallery. BabaO2: It cant be effective if extended beyond Jonathan's administration. how so? They should go after any corruption case for which there is evidence, whether it happened during Jonathan's administration or Obasanjo's or IBB's. As the activist lawyer, Femi Falana said, there is no statute of limitation here. By the way, if it is limited to Jonathan's administration, it would rightly be seen as political vendetta. I would see it as that because I know that almost all the past regimes were very corrupt. There should be no selective prosecution. You lose credibility when you start being selective. |

The GEJ National conference, like all the others before it, was not properly organised. First, there was the issues around delegate selection, then there were the no-go areas (which killed the spirit of the conference for many), then some people were not there who should have been there.
In my honest opinion, let's forget about conferences. Nigerians love to talk. Let's focus on good governance. And you think good governance is possible with the present centralized structure right? Like who were supposed to be there that were not there? |

Without Buhari saying so, one should know that he would not implement that report. The northern elite generally, for reasons best known to them have not been enthusiastic about restructuring the country. They believe the present structure favors them I guess. However, anybody that wishes this country well should support restructuring. Without restructuring, it would just be a matter of time before this country disintegrates. Government here is too centralized for any progress to be made. |

Did you not read the S.O.S from his lawyer stating that Mr. Obua is being denied food, water, his medications, access to his lawyer and family. If the man is dead, this would be a case of murder against the acting DG of SSS and Mr. Buhari. Family › Re: Marriage? Nigerian Guys In Europe Are Shying Away From Nigerian Girls by poseidon12: 7:42am On Jul 21, 2015 |
skyfullofstars: Well, that's true, but it's society fault. Women are taught to do that since they are little girls...! If you wanna change the situation, then men should empower Nigerian women, let them be independent, and don't confide them in the space of the kitchen. The matter is much more deeper than what you mention.
Doesn't this system of sugar daddies teach girls that all they have to give is sex, and that as long as they do it they will receive money?
Also, I'm tired of reading in this forum how the wives should be submissive to the husbands. If that's what you want, you know which result you will get... You make a lot of sense here. The complaints from Nigerian guys are valid. But its society's fault as you said. It's actually cultural I think. Our Nigerian cultures rigidly place man as the sole breadwinner and overlord in a relationship. In spite of modernity, we have carried on with this mindset. So from childhood, the average Nigerian girl is thought to be totally dependent on a guy. They carry this mindset into adulthood. So, even if she is earning a decent income, most of them still believe that their man should be solely responsible for their upkeep. This mindset makes them to always think of material things first in a relationship, and it shows. It's really a put off for me. Nigerian guys are also partly to blame. In Nigeria, most men use money as bait to get women, to gain advantage over other men. They will readily dish out cash to a girl they just met, without the girl asking for it. It's really a cash-and-carry culture we have in Nigeria. It's nauseating. |

What happens next year is the formal trial....where evidence will be presented to a judge and jury....and where the prosecution and defence will argue their cases.
I don't know about the law in Nigeria....but the laws in US and UK usually allow you to be held without charge after a set period of time...not longer than 48 hours. If you are not formally charged....you may be set free. Same thing in Nigeria. Our law demands that a suspect must be charged to court within 24 hours, maximum 48 hours. The problem here is that most times the law enforcement usually don't have any evidence to charge someone to court with. So they start playing games, hiding you from your lawyer and family. |

EPOMA: Please keep him there, that guy was bad bad bad as in baddest. They stole more than 234 Million USD of a colleague from Denmark who came to Nigeria to buy Crude. This people brought them into the Villa and made them to make payment of the shipment only to be told that it will not happen again. Guess what? They did not refund the money.
When they tried to see Jonathan, this same aides refused their request to see the President. It tell a lot.
The next person in this whole deal was a man called John Kennedy Opara, they went to his office at the Christian Pilgrim Commission where the payment was made, up till today, the Kennedy is still in denial that he never knew who those guys are, that they just came to his office to have the meeting.
Now, they went to law enforcement and wrote to EFCC, up till today, nothing. No reply and no follow up. These guys are crooks and robbers. Arrest John Kennedy Opara too, he is also guilty as charged. The report categorically stated he is held in relation to oil bunkering activities There you have it.. There was no way 400,00bpd of crude could be stolen from our Bayelsa Loading Terminal without Govt. officials knowing and conniving in the heist. Exactly on Feb.12, 2014... Dr. NOI testified at the NASS that 300,000bpd were being stolen, that brought us closer to Emir Sanusi's $20bn missing funds. So, this is the real reason the ex-militants got the pipeline protection jobs, to protect their son's adviser in oil bunkering while milking Nigerians on their fake mega contract deals... some even buying warships and missiles for the NN. Na wahooo! No wonder Dumbo rush come back from him vacation to appeal to the Abuja Peace Committee to ask President Buhari to halt his probe of the immediate past PDP-led government. Dr. NOI in Dec. again "upwardly adjusted" the stolen barrels per day to 400,000 at the yeye investment forum hosted by a Lady in the UK yet, nothing was done by the so-called oversight committees at the obese NASS. When even the CSO to Dumbo was bunkering oil and definitely involved in the oil swap deals... it is no rocket science to know he was working for Oga@theTop. So, the man must be detained for thorough investigation via interrogation... Maybe, Oshiomonkey will begin to "adjust downwards" his expectation which his permutations based at Nigeria's OPEC-allocated 2.1mn bpd. Simply put, the money went missing "at source" therefore, we must get to that source... and the CSO is a major catch! Hahahaha chei o. I dey gulp odeku !! I am all for fighting corruption.
