Buhari must have a rethink if he must come back for his second term.He will still meet us and let's see how he will deceive us the second tym.President of the northern republic.
Well, I don't think Buhari is thinking of any second term. I believe he just wants to consolidate power in the hands of northerners and then bow out.

It is Buhari that is threatening national unity with his tribalism, not Fayose.

PoliticsRe: Dim-Udebuani Marcel Sues Buhari Over ‘Lopsided Appointments’ by poseidon12: 11:01pm On Sep 01, 2015
Good move there. Nigeria is not Buhari's private property. At least the decision on the case will help to set a precedent that will guide future presidents of the country.

Governor Fayose always on point. Always saying it as he sees it.
Buhari is an unrepentant tribalist.

Are you guys not yet tired of that line "most important thing is for the appointees to get the job done."?
So its ok for a president of the country to be openly tribalistic.
Nairaland GeneralRe: My Near Death Experience With The Nigerian Police - DIARY Of A Jobless Youth by poseidon12: 12:22am On Aug 30, 2015
It's disheartening to hear about some terrible things our police do to innocent people. But I wonder why people do not try to put in complaints to appropriate quarters.
If I experience this type of atrocity, as soon as I am free and I am able to recognize the culprits or their police station, I will go straight to the Area Commander, or to the Commissioner's office. Usually, the higher up the officer, the more reasonable they are.

PoliticsRe: How Technical Consultants Advised Amaechi Against Monorail Project After Collect by poseidon12: 11:32pm On Aug 29, 2015
This is the height of mismanagement of the people's resources. Amaechi should be made to refund the money to Rivers State.
Buhari should distance himself from Amaechi.
What a waste.

Hey peeps, I just got an info from a very reliable and impeccable source that PMB is only keeping us on suspense. Come September 2015 the ministerial list will be balanced, it will be made up of all tribes hausa, yoruba, IBO and other tribes. So the wailing wailers should stop wailing. .
Our constitution requires that each state must produce a minister. So, for the ministerial list, Buhari has no choice but to appoint from every state. So he is not "keeping us on suspense".

All of a sudden, these APC folks are claiming competency is much more important than Federal character. Few months ago, they posted this ad on a national newspaper.

Let's look at the bright side, the federal character law seems to be abolished. I hope this long awaited call for abandoning the 'almighty' federal character that the North has used to rub us of for all these years has come to stay.

What the APC is failing to understand is that within as short while, 4 years would be over and new elections would suffice. Should a southerner win and begin to reciprocate by appointing only 'competent' southerners, they shouldn't cry foul because first to do, e no dey pain....
Don't mind those supporting tribalism by a president. They are actually unwittingly shooting themselves on the foot. The north is inadvertently abolishing federal character. We should play along and ensure that federal character is dead and buried. Buhari will not be president forever.
PoliticsRe: #northerners Trends On Twitter As Nigerians React To Buhari's Appointments by poseidon12: 11:42pm On Aug 27, 2015
Buhari's tribalism might actually provide an opportunity for progressive minded people to campaign for scrapping of federal character for good. We need to do away with it.

My own is that northerners shouldn't make noise and kill people as they usually do if a southern president in the future only appoints people from his region in the name of competence.
You bet that they will destroy the country if a southern president does the same thing Buhari is doing.

There are more appointments coming. Let's be patient.

Truth be told, I think Buhari is trolling the Tanoids. Even the most ardent of Buhari's haters would have been shocked by the announcements today. It was completely unexpected. This nigga really gives no Bleep.

For once, we have a leader who understands what it means to be President. A man who survived a coup and lost 3 elections really has it all to prove. And he will only appoint those whom he trusts. I only hope he applies a little wisdom in his next appointments to douse the tension of ethnic sentiments that's beginning to fester.
So he only trusts fellow northerners right? He is setting an interesting precedent. He would not be president forever.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Spent N139million On Two Boreholes - Lagos Government by poseidon12: 10:02am On Aug 24, 2015
nonebutme:
Fashola is not being accused of anything. It is surprising that on one hand some of us call for transparency and accountability in government and yet turn around to call it a witch-hunt. These projects are all approved and completed, hence there is no reason why LASG tenders board shouldn't put them on its website. It is left for those who see anything fishy to come out with their proof, rather than trying to set the former governor against his successor.

Before you blame Tinubu or Ambode, it was Fashola himself who gave the directive that contracts bidded, awarded and excuted be published on the website.
Are you kidding me? Those contracts are clearly inflated. I have always felt that there is massive corruption in Lagos State. With the huge internally generated revenue realized every month, you can hardly find any decent road in Lagos. Fashola's performance has always been on the pages of newspapers and tvs/radios. He should not be rewarded with federal appointment. It would send the wrong moral message.
