OP where u the onlyone in the BUS? You did the right thing by taking the picture,police intimidated you with their uniform yet everyone in your bus just allowed them take you instead of insisting you did nothing wrong and as such no one is taking you to no station.

Yep. Political science tells us that people get the leadership they deserve. Our people are usually influenced by irrelevant sentiments when they vote. We suffer almost similar fate in Lagos State where, after 16 years of very corrupt APC leadership, you can hardly find any decent road to drive on; any little rain shuts the city down because there is no decent drainage. And come election time, irrelevant sentiments ensure that the corrupt incompetent goons still win.

We are talking about the U.S., not Nigeria. He will not escape anything. Blackmail is a crime in the U.S. And he will be viewed with suspicion by his colleagues at work. He might even lose his job, and marriage of course. Releasing such a video (if he has it), will present a substantial risk for him; especially if he has a decent job in the U.S.

The guy said he is married with kids in the U.S. If that's the case, I don't think the guy would like to release such video of him on the internet. His wife may also see the video. His colleagues in the U.S. may also see the video. So there is a risk for him too. The girl should get the guy's contact details in the U.S. and then tell him to go to hell and threaten to report him to his wife and employer.

Very bad advice. Whatever she does, she should never give in to the ex's blackmail. If she does, the guy will be coming back to make more demands on her perpetually.
She should record her conversation with the guy, try to get the guy's contact in the U.S. And then threaten to report the guy's advances to his wife in the U.S. If she can also get information about where the guy works, she should also threaten to report him to his employer. These steps should put the guy in his place.

I hate to admit this but the driver was lucky. When my dad dented the car of a military officer at Sango, the idiot retaliated by smashing his windscreen to smithereens. My dad's saving grace was that his younger brother is a Colonel so the errant officer was duly reported. There was a time I was at Omole Estate, a driver was whipped with Koboko and commanded to frogjump for packing his car just in front of a military landrover. Whatever these guys might be smoking,I want to test it too

If it is not abuse of power, what right has a soldier to punish a civilian? Is the soldier a magistrate? Even if he scratched his vehicle in an accident, it is the job of the police to deal with the situation.
