Atleast write it correctly.
I now assume that was a pointer to the worth of the thread.

GEJ is going about the business of the Presidency, the intrigues of which more than 99% of Nigerians do not understand. Follow his FB comments and you will get a feel of his direction and philosophy. Its a shame some citizens do not even know what they want to see before they start respecting their president.

Police to change overnight?
Customs & Immigration to stop collecting bribes in broad daylight just to let you take raw garri on your trip abroad?
Trains zigzagging across the nation?

Or Northerners stopping the periodic killing of infidels with impunity and the resumption of Oil well sharing to the northern oligarchs?

You go wait tire!

I like the sound of his zeal. I must point out though that for tourism to work, many things have to come together at once, just like the engine of an automobile, so many things come together, acting in diverse ways to get the engine to rev up. The road from the airport has to be standardized. At the moment, its a shame.

Imo State missed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when expatriates were running away from Rivers State and the Port Harcourt airport was closed for a long while. That I recognize as an opportunity we ought to have used to attract a large chunk of the oil expatriates to live in Owerri and work in Port Harcourt. Unfortunately, Udenwa was busy funnelling money to fund his daughter's great taste for good things.

FamilyRe: Why Do Girls Add Weight Or Get Fat In Their Huuby's House. by POTUT(m): 8:09pm On Aug 04, 2011
I used to ask same until in got married in 2008.

1. After first child in 09, wife bled substantially (not life threatening, just normal delivery bleeding). I observed that in a few weeks after we came home, she lost considerable weight and returned to shape. I was happy.

2. After 2nd child this year (jan), she didn't bleed that much, just a little. I observed that in a few weeks after we came home, she lost little weight and has not returned to shape. I am waiting. Its a boy and he breastfeeds with a hidden agenda, causing wifey to eat more to keep up.

Now, I don't ask myself anymore. I will be patient with her.

I don't agree that sex makes her fatter. (BTW, I've been in her just 3 times since number 2 came. Poor me.)

As long as we continue to have unresolved murders in this country, we should expect more of these russian roulette, cloak and dagger stories.

Are all of you people reetarded? Can't you understand simple logic? If you increase salaries without raising taxes, then cuts will have to be made elsewhere. The money isn't going to fall from heaven.

Fashola is the only leader to talk sense since this wage crisis began. Everybody else (including GEJ who caused the problem) seems to be completely clueless. Part of the reason why Lagos state is doing so well is because salaries only take a small percentage of revenues leaving plenty of money to build roads and equip hospitals. Now, thanks to Jonathan, all the states will be more like the useless federal government that spends nearly everything on recurrent expenditure then gives us stuupid excuses for why there's no light.

Its like you people prefer leaders that will tell you lies and use voodoo economics to decieve you. like GEJ that signed the wage bill without making provision to pay the money, what a m0r0n!
Leave GEJ out of this! He does not make laws, you forgot it was the NA that made the law and GEJ only signed it?

The same NA is composed of people representing people from all parts of the country. Stop this ignorance please, or do you want GEJ to be remembered as the President that refused to sign Bills into law?

PoliticsRe: Islamic Banking: Oritsejafor Replies Sultan! by POTUT(m): 8:14am On Jul 31, 2011
Conventional Banks have made profit over the years by charing interest on Loans and Advances.

The CBN now deems it fit to introduce another style of banking that will not charge interests on loans, but instead share the profit of the investment with the borrower.

Okay, I figure this will require a lot of resources and checks to be put in place to ensure:

1. That the borrower actually uses the money for the proposed investment

2. That the borrower makes honest returns to the bank, so that the sharing can begin.

3. That the investment does not crumble, because if it does, the non-interest Bank loses all!

Hmmm, in Nigeria, we do not have such competence on the part of banks. The absence of basic infrastructure (Electric Power, Database Integrity, Searchable and verifiable Address system, traceable money movements, etc)

Something is not just right about the emergence of non-interest banking in Nigeria!

Time will tell us what, is wrong!

As for the Sultan, I have been following his comments on certain national matters, he certainly falls short of criticizing/condemning the obvious.

CAN should leave the matter alone, let the National Assembly uphold the constitution. CAN is wasting breathe.

As christians, let us continue to focus on those things which will rob us of christianity, not on the things which seem to rob us of recognition.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Single-tenure Proposal Fraudulent, Self-serving . ACN. by POTUT(m): 9:22pm On Jul 28, 2011
GEJ's single-tenure plan is not wrong! Some of the initially reported details could actually be better polished. For instance, why six years? Why not stay at four years?

However, Nigerians have been treated to a plethora of deceptions by their leaders in the past and are currently a nation of cynics and mistrustful people.

As usual, the so-called opposition in Nigeria have nothing to offer but name-calling and bad blood. Ideological engagement is something they do not understand.

Still, this is a democracy and ideas are free to flow, not blow.

Nymph,

The concept and the rollout is not new, it has been here since, I think, 2003.

The christians are criticizing it but forget that Igbos (99.99% christians) already owned a chunk of Jaiz bank's shares. Anambra state is also said to be a beneficiary. So Nigerians, except Yorubas I guess, have been participating in the investment.
Bolded has been refuted by the Anambra State Government. SLS has a lot to answer. He apparently (deliberately) misinformed the Reps and all of us!
PoliticsRe: Islamic Banking: Christian Group Calls For Bakare's Suspension From Can by POTUT(m): 4:42pm On Jul 27, 2011
Once upon a time, all humans could worship a God under the same roof. Then they broke up into two and called themselves different names and worshiped differently, with different values.

In Nigeria, the one group is fond of destroying the building of the other group with impunity, and this has gone on for many years without reprieve to the group that falls victim most of the time.

Now, another dimension is being added to it: they want to separate where they keep their monies.

Would the violence-prone group not also destroy the buildings where the other group keeps its monies, thereby decimating them completely with frequently orchestrated attacks?

Does anyone have a comment?

We can tackle unemploment and security all simultaneously;

1. De-list all the policemen (delist not sack).

2. Train all the delisted policemen in modern farming and let them retain thir regimental hierachy and reporting lines. The former police divisions are now based on farms and crops produced. For example the mopol vcan produce yam ,sugar cane and beans while the ADivision produce rice, potates and pineapples.
3. Employ as many of the unemployed graduates as possible into a new police force (with new uniform of course) and institute a new model of modern training with conscienciousness training , nationalism and suitable equipment and appropriate SOP. Divde into divisions according to choice , talent and ability.
You will thus mop up the restive unemployed youg people into gainful national duties and multiply food and crop production and have a major major improvement in security.
I dont mind if we have to borrrow money from the WB to do this. It's worth it. We have wasted billions of $s for invisible projects in the past.
Out of the box. Good!

No drone attack is required. Jonathan knows about it. He knows those behind them. He is only afraid of them.

Last year, a shipment of bombs from Iran going to the North was intercepted in Lagos. The SSS claimed, they have the suspects, facilitators for the shipment in custody. Where are those people ? Where is the case?

Our government should stop deceiving us. They know who they are. Are they claiming these boko aram are invincible and invisible?

The whole show is just political. Jonathan is not innocent. He may not be behind it but, he knows where its coming from. Shikenah

If Jonathan really knows, why has he not acted? If he cannot act, why not tacitly give the US a nod to eliminate those people?

I still do not believe that a president (any president) can be scared of anyone in his country.

Beautiful pictures - the country was more developed then, compared to these days
These sets of pictures are trully amazing, look out the roads and street are neat, no agberos, or area boys molesting people.
We should show these pictures to our politicians, maybe it will help them to understand the need for massive development in the country.

Where did we actually lost the drive to move the country forward?

@ poster, thanks so much for the pictures, keep them coming
We lost it when Buhari & IBB opened their minds in sequence to the lust and lucre of power. That was also when the brain drain started.

hmm dis is serious oo but i still dont understand what exactly they want.

The simple truth is that they want a Sharia state with 100% sharia compliant.
Young Nigerians, please do not be fooled by that feathery rhetoric. BH is after something more sinister than sharia.

Let me ask you, does sharia law say kill, bomb and maim anyone you so choose in order to implement it?

This is the same charade the so-called Niger-Deltans brought up as their excuse for mass kidnappings and exchanges with the army and police, claiming they wanted emancipation of the region. It is evident now that all they wanted was free access to oil bunkering and self-aggrandizement.

The people they claimed to free from the shackles of the Nigerian state are still in their condition. The warlords of ND have withdrawn to cosy hotels and palaces in choice corners. Nonsense!

BH is graduating into a similar debacle. Serves Nigeria right.

Sympathies to their victims, they want settlement and political power, and more, but definitely not sharia!
