The mental state of most Nigerians as seen on this thread is the reason the country will never see development in many years to come. But you did not see the mental state of those hailing the idiots that killed innocent soldiers? |

But if it is to Face these Guys One on One, before 50 Ijaw Boys will fall, 20 Soldiers will FALL.😟😕 Is Odi in Bayelsa not an Ijaw community? So, to you now, Ijaw boys with Egbesu jazz are untouchable? Don't say this anywhere beyond Nairaland o. |

raphemmanuel: My good people of nairaland good morning to you all. Hope you have a wonderful night rest.
After so much pondering and fear of starting a business due to fear of the business collapsing because of our current economy crisis since early last year, I have decide to venture into phone accessories business.
The reason why I always resort to nairaland each time I want to take some certain decisions is because there are people with like-mind and are willing to give out tangible advise.
I have a budget of 1.5 million naira to start the business (shop rent and shop beautification included on the amount).
Please my good people, is it still advisable to venture into this business without regret, is the business viable? What particular phone accessories device has much demand.
My location is Aba, Abia state. Any location or place I can buy this accessories in bulk at cheaper price. Set aside the funds and go learn the rudiments of the business from someone already into it. |

sterlingD: The banks sit on the financial year end result and forward to CBN for scrutiny before It is being released.Let me give a live example right now UBA has sat on their results and forwarded it to CBN since last month so also ACCESS and others. What do you mean by sit on? Do you know how long it takes the CBN to do it's review before approval? The UBA and Access you gave as examples, do you know how long it takes for them to gather the items needed for the YE results together? YE results of MFBs sef no be moi moi mich less the big banks Oga. Take that for free. And you are not talking to a novice by the way. |

sterlingD: I am suspecting that CBN is about to release the Audited Financial Statements 2023 results all the bank results and so they are re-emphasizing it. It's not the CBN that releases the results. It is the banks that releases them ONLY after approval by the CBN. The results are due already as they are close to the mandatory 90 days permissible after the YE. We are almost in the middle of march and this is when the FUGAZ normally release their own. CBN is just re-emphasizing. |

mikeapollo: The revaluation loss will be reported as a separate line item, with specific notes to the accounts explaining it is not available for distribution. With this directive, the FIRS should exempt those profits from CIT It is more prudent to recognize potential losses immediately, while deferring the recognition of potential gains, hence the CBN would have asked the banks to write-off revaluation losses.
My humble opinion Your humble opinion is succinct and professional. Well said. I think people are not aware that CBN has said this earlier on. They are just re-emphasizing now that the YE results are being awaited. |

Politics › Re: Neither You Nor Me Can Control The Can Of Worms I’ve Opened, Ningi Tells Akpabio by ppogba: 6:47am On Mar 14, 2024 |
aribisala0: Well you are just ranting emotionally and ignorantly Is it true that there is over 3 trillion in the budget that is just listed as bulk sums and not ?itemized ? Yes absolutely true
Is it transparent and should it be so? Absolutely not
Is it padding Again absolutely not?
What is the money for? INEC TETFUND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY JUDICIARY among others These are entities that collect their money in bulk without breakdown in the budget For whatever reason it was agreed long ago that Judges will not come to the National Assembly to defend budget for a number of reasons relating to independence
Unfortunately it has always been so with INEC too
It did not start today and is nothing to do with Tinubu or AKpabio It is a budget passed by the Senate TOGETHER with the National Assembly not the Senate alone So if Niingi is unhappy about it he knows what to do
To come and do two things 1. Claim the budget is antiNorth 2. Pretend that these allocations without breakdown is something new
Is very dishonest and mischievous
You have every right to hate Tinubu However let us be factual and rational, ask questions and listen to answers I can agree that the Judiciary and perhaps even INEC should have financial independence but others should have a breakdown For that to happen the rules have to change . Is there padding? There is no budget that does not have padding Even housewives pad budgets for their husbands but this one Ning is doing is pure drama
Was there a breakdown of INEC budget under Buhari,Jonathan or Obasanjo? You really have the time to educate fools who not only follow national issues with. their limited knowledge but also see it as an opportunity to vent their inherited tribal anger even when the facts are laid on the table |
