It is very simple. They should go abroad and learn how to shoot good movies. Especially in the aspect of effect. That's what makes movies interesting. I'm thinking you have seen lots of super hero movies. Let's take Smallville as an example. The effects in that movie are outta this world. And it looks so real. Now that's a movie. Do you also know that accidents happen almost the same way in Nigeria movies. The car will be going from left to right on the main road after some mins it'll stop beside the Bush. Then they'll start singing and showing dead bodies. And you won't see a single dent on the car.

OK I don read am finish. A nice write up. But I've not watched any nollywood movie in a very long time. I hardly know the actors and actresses. I got to know Tonto dikeh on nairaland because she was always making front page back then.

Them lack quality. After so many years they still can't perfect gun shots. You'll see fire coming out of the gun's mouth. And the person shot won't have gun shot wound. And the sound is always annoying. You'll be hearing tatatatata. Na wah ooooo.

The only parts they are good at is witchcraft and touts. Also comedies as well.

You'll see how someone is stabbed or beheaded in American movies and it'll look so freaking real. I'm wondering when nollywood will get there.

Na make dem dey repeat stories with bad qualities dem sabi.

President Buhari has appointed Journalist and Blogger, Tolu Ogunlesi, as his Special Assistant on Digital and New Media. Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, announced this in a statement released this evening. Congrats Tolu.

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday appointed Mr. Tolu Ogunlesi as his Special Assistant on Digital/New Media. Ogunlesi, who is a renowned blogger and journalist, graduated from the University of Ibadan in 2004, and obtained an MA in Creative Writing from University of East Anglia, UK, in 2011. Before his appointment, Ogunlesi had worked as a Features Editor and Editorial Board member of NEXT Newspaper.


He also worked as a West Africa Editor for The Africa Report magazine from 2014 to 2015. Ogunlesi is a two-time winner of the CNN Multichoice African Journalism Awards, and a 2015 New Media Fellow of the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP). Ogunlesi will be assisted by Bashir Ahmad, who is a Personal Assistant to the President on New Media.
