Abegi, Nigerians, I know us very well. I know how we dey do. My neigbor was in Tanzania last year for vacation, she was told how Nigerians come there to do fraud, spoil their youths and engage in bloody human trafficking. There are simply a few decent Nigerians out there. Majority are simply after quick way to make money.

I support any country using every means to defend her society before it gets to Nigerian level where someone given the job to fight corruption will be there looting as well.

You do realize that the police in USA are frequently sued for police brutality. Also, most of those involving shooting are those that they themselves have weapons on them.
For most part, any running unharmed person shot by the police will be investigated and the police sued.

But we are funny. Did u come out when they called for protest? Or u think USA got to the level they are today with their citizens sitting as if nothing 'concern them'.

I mentioned the usa becus they also have share of police brutality. As for the suing and all that, u need a better society to get that to happen. To get a better society, we must learn to put ethnic sentiments aside and demand for our constitution to be changed, demand better pay for our police officers like their counterparts in the usa, demand for better work condition for our policemen like their counterparts in the usa, elect better leaders, provide the much needed infrastructure needed to track a running suspect like they do in the usa.

The police in the usa have many ways to catch u with the help of database, infrastructure, technology, etc. We dont do any of these and we want our police to be developed when our own very political system, society, and mindsets are far from development. lol

They also failed to protest as we have more Nigerians getting killed in Nigeria than anywhere else. They also cant protest for govt to improve our educational system. They where chasing unharmed men, that were not confronting them. There was no reason for any of them to discharge any firearm.

Then, some powerful politicians from the southern Nigeria taught north how to use the growing Islamic sec movement to distabilise GEJ govt due to their own political difference they had with him. Voom, the issue became a terrorism saga, the west now used the power of media to finish it. The west practically had problem with GEJ because they felt he didn't give them enough political positions.

As the terrorism issue became a big problem with northern politicians protecting the interest of the sects then, GEJ became desperate. He was fast losing credibility.

He started trusting people to help eliminate the menace that was about destroying his govt. These people used the opportunity to loot him and the country.

So, if not that northern politicians felt OBJ ruled for 8 years, so they should basically be allowed to complete their own 8 years too, they wouldn't have caused such confusion in GEJ govt. GEJ had better brain in open mindedness, better policy, better options than Buhari. Buhari is one old man with no brain for modern govt.
A man who has not developed him self can't develop anyone else.

And as for fire power, the police were completely taken unaware. Same way many soldiers have been killed when Boko haram take them unaware. Security personnels rarely solve unaware attack.

As for information, the police went for a secret mission and couldn't have made it open. U don't know who is who.

If the country is good, it is the DSS that could have done the notification between the police and the military.

This county is gone, believe me. See even the one that was alive, and the person videoing it trying to convince them they are working with i.g, see how he was being dragged on the floor. I regretted watching this video early morning. Even if they were kidnappers as claimed, why would the solders remove the handcuffs and let the suspect escape? shouldn't it be that he needed to be kept and be a witness for them?
What i thought happened was that the man in questions has lots of informants and networks. All high profile kidnappers likely do this. So when he was hunted down, his boys contacted the military guys at the check point likely being some of their covers and protectors working for them that he was being taken away, then they laid ambush for them and shot them. This was not a mistake at all. They shot at the vehicle and it somersaulted and selectively targeted the police in the vehicle while allowing the suspect to go. It is a clever execution to cover track. I noticed that is very common to arrest kidnappers in the north and not kill them unlike in the south that they kill them any how. They always parade them and less killing for only God knows why. So why is this different?
Serious investigations are needed on this but sadly the deed has been done. I repeat, this country is gone , and sitting on lots of explosives, only time will tell.

U are very intelligent.. It is sad. And this team is one of the most efficient teams in the country. They even successfully got the kidnapper which I know must have taken serious intelligence.

The military is the major problem of this country. The generals are so corrupt. They messed up this country. I'm sure this was a deliberate act to free the kidnapper.
