The facilities are in good shape. For such a small deadline, Egypt tried. Cameroun couldn't do this and had to opt out less than a year to the event. Egypt took it up and tried. These stadiums are more than ten years old. Do people go about building new stadiums for fun? They only renovate an build new ones when hosting a competition. And Egypt didnt have time to build new ones.

How many of our stadiums that ars ten years old can even be host a decent match? I watch our league, I watch caf champions league a lot, I see our club stadiums.

Most Nigerians like lying to them selves. Do we even have a decent modern transportation system? Thanks jaree

No other country came up. Do u think hosting a competition is all about building cover head stadiums. The Arabs mainly build an open roof stadium.

As long as hotels, transportation, security, logistics, are in shape, no problem. Those stadium u see there are good. Nigerian stadium lack good pitch. All we keep mentioning is Akwa ibom stadium.

None of these stadiums are new in Egypt. They are stadiums that are decades old. They didn't plan to host this competition, so didn't build any new ones. We are grateful they came up to save our ass as a continent.

The pitches are good, the training facilities are great. The stadiums are better in reality than u see them.

Nigeria can't host any competition of this level not to talk of hosting it in less than 7 months.

Hosting a competition is not all about stadium. And Egypt couldn't have built new stadiums in seven months.

I hate sentiment. Egypt is miles ahead of Nigeria. Akwa ibom stadium that was built how many months ago to compare stadiums that are over 15 Years old.

Abuja stadium, how is the condition now? How many of our stadium that are over 10 years old have good pitches and facilities? Abi na open roof we go chop? Ans some of these pics are not recent pics. Egypt tried abeg.

No reasonable organization can give Nigeria anything inernation stuff of this level to host. This country that road transportation alone is dead, air ports are sub standard, no proper interlinks, poor tourism sector, electricity issue.

See how long it is taking ordinary Big brother naija to stage the show in Nigeria becus they have to get backup for many things.

I can remember Aboutreka, he was such a fantastic player. I watched the AFCON final of 2010 recently and Egypt was in fantastic shape. The country has many professional home based players which has helped the team to blend well. U cant win major competition by having ur players scattered in different leagues across the world.

Look at Kenya, Tanzania and Namibia making the most of their natural habitat and raking in millions. These are countries we could buy over decades ago if we wanted but they're not our mates anymore.

I keep saying this that anyone who truly loves Nigeria should join the movement for a changed constitution. We need a regional system of govt with a weaker central govt. Simple. No more oil sharing revenue.

Every state should manage theirs and pay royalty to the central govt. Simple. if a state does not see oil money, such state will be forced to look for money else where before her citizens eat up the governor.

Also that will reduce the interest in governance to only people who really want to transform these states. States can do business with one another and compete well. These yeye oil money has killed us more. what pains me most is that hungry masses still will kill u if u mention this system of govt to them all becus they want to please their political tribal masters. Yea, i av sat with some well placed Nigerian men behind media. And guess what? They dont even believe in one Nigeria that will work. But they are so scared of saying the truth facing the media.

The truth is naturally, the black man is selfish, so the current state of Nigeria favors the political class. They earn fat allowances, their security is taken care of, past military leaders have fat allowances, same as past police leaders, so it would be hard for these past leaders to lose all they earn and demand for a separation. They know such demand will end their benefits. The black race does not have a selfless leader to stand up and fight. Everyone is after their own family pocket. That is why the truth has refused to come out..

A divided Nigeria or a complete decentralized Nigeria will ensure states function better. The citizens are closer to states than FG. The FG does not have any business having this increased powers becus the FG is not closer to the citizens.

The states should be forced to force their ways into earning and not depend on oil. Nigeria is such a useless mistake. I have serious anger with my creator for bringing me here. If u cross to a developed country, u go cry o.
