Dear African men, just marry the woman, it will no longer be cheating.. |
cucumbae:As long as Nigerians have vowed never to protest against these things u mentioned, nothing will change |
if nigeria can focus on development, our churches will preach less of prosperity messages. People are hungry. Tell God to help fix nigeria. Many families cant eat, what do u want them to do? They will simply agree sex before marriage if it can help solve their financial problems The suffering in Nigeria is much. Many girls are in school and their parents send them just 5k per month. Corruption every where. Poverty capital of the world. |
Dhortunn: |
davillian:Nigerians need serious activists who will never stop protesting until the constitution is changed for good! This country is foolishness.. |
anonymous1759:Well, this is it, as long as Nigerian masses are not ready to protest for change of constitution and request for lengthy terms for corrupt officers, they will not do it for the masses. U don't expect anyone to block where he is eating from. The problem with Nigeria majorly due to the lazy masses who are not ready to protest until certain things are done and enacted. If we begin protest that governor should never come and retire in the national assembly anymore, if we no gree go house, they will be forced to make such law. But the average nigerian youth is mentally lazy, scared and dies million times before his death. |
PoshBoss007:What they are saying is do not buy items not sold in open markets, don't buy an item sold for 200 naira for just 10 naira. Ask receipt when u buy item. Make sure the receipt has contact address verifiable. Many are in prison for crime such as this. Police did not make the law. Police only effect the law. So why blame police. It is when ur item u bought 400k is stolen and sold for 5k, u will understand better. U may even kill the buyer join. |

Them don settle deal. If u notice, the guy has been quiet lately.. ![]() |
TSRC:Exactly, we loot a lot, and commit all sorts of fraudulent activities, then lavish the money on women in other countries. This has really made the ladies in those societies demand more than they usually do. U wont understand how terrible this has been and worse still, majority of the money spent on these ladies are stolen wealth. Nigeria has behavioral issue. |
abuomaIV:lol, this has been what many other countries lament about Nigerian men. My friend who was in Kenya lamented how Kenyas were complaining that Nigerian men are spoiling their ladies and teaching them how to love money. Same thing that happened in south africa. Our men corrupted our ladies with stuff like this. Funny enough, our ladies still dey bash us up and down. We have focused so much on money to get a lady that ladies no longer see any other thing but money in men before accepting relationship. |
Flyingngel:Exactly my point, all these politicians just dey use Nigerians play football! |
victorian:LOL, saw this pics, remembered our discussion, didnt know how to tag u before I got to see the comment and quickly checked the name. And it is u. U got it, this shows a humble man. U got the spirit. It takes one to know one. |
victorian:hahahahaha, very funny! Let me send u mail! |
Honor10:My bro, calm down, i am only saying, make we mark the era, history always come back to hunt us.. Pls, i am not here to drag words with u, okay. Politicians are balling both east and north, na common man dey suffer. So, calm down, I only made a legit comment. |
Close ur eyes and imagine a Nigeria were mainly Igbos are occupying the security institutions in Nigeria. Lol. North for don blow down the country. People should remember the date, mark this era, history will come back and hunt us all in Nigeria. |
SEN. CHRIS EKPENYONG SPEAKS IN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW …WHY I AM CALLED UKARAKPA … MY MISSION IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY Few weeks to the Swearing-in of National Assembly legislators in Nigeria, a team of journalists including the Editor of RolanTimes E-magazine had the privilege of interviewing Distinguished Senator Chris EKPENYONG at EMJM Hotel in Uyo. In this special and exclusive report, ROLANTIMES presents the full excerpts of that revealing and bombastic interview for your reading pleasure and information. ROLANTIMES: Sir, they call you “Ukarakpa”, why do people call you that name? EKPENYONG: In 2003, people masterminded to take over my office as the Deputy Governor and the arrow head of that onslaught was God’swill Akpabio who later suspiciously became the Governor of the State. He conspired with others including Dr. Chris Ekong to remove me as a Deputy Governor whereas when we formed PDP between 1998 and 1999 I never saw him in Abuja and in Uyo. When I was asked to bring my personal resources to support the growth of PDP in Akwa Ibom State I never saw him. But through the benevolent of the then Governor Victor Attah he was brought into Government and he happens to come from my Federal constituency. So when he came in 2002 he plotted my removal and in 2003 he wanted to be Deputy Governor. When they tried and failed, the then State PDP Chairman, late Chief Tony Emenyi, at a campaign in Eket while inviting me to mount the podium with the Governor described me as ‘Ukarakpa’. This means they have tried everything possible to kill me him (me) but he emerged victorious, swallowing all lesser animals. That is how I came be known as “Ukarakpa”. ROLANTIMES: What does the victory mean to you and how do you intend to make a difference? EKPENYONG: My election as a senator is God’s design. God says this is opportune time for me to join hands with Gov. Udom Emmanuel and work for development of Akwa Ibom as a senator to ensure there that there are job opportunities, ensure there is empowerment. God through Udom Emmanuel says Chris Ekpenyong you are going to be a senator. Even though for Akwa Ibom North-West (Ikot Ekpene) Senatorial District but you are that senator that will speak from that segment of the State and for the overall interest of the State. So I am elated. I am going to collaborate with the State and I am going to ensure that my Senatorial District which has been cut off from the State and National level is been re-linked. I want to ensure that there is a symbiotic relationship so that we can also be developed. When I had a meeting with the Current Deputy Senate President a few days ago, I was amazed that, as a Senator, he has been able to assist the Government of his State to construct road from Enugu up to Abakiliki. But here we have Senators, we have people who work in Government Agencies that were created through the instrumentality of Constitution and resources of this State when we were fighting resource control such NDDC, instead of using it as an intervening medium to expand our capacity and our developmental uplift, we were using it to oppose the Government of the State. We will check that; that is my function. We are going to ensure that there is always unity between the representatives at various levels and the executive in the State for the overall wellbeing of the people. ROLANTIMES: Beyond politics, you are also a very successful businessman against the erroneous impression that Akwa Ibom people don’t succeed in business. What is the guiding principles behind your success? EKPENYONG: When I was in Lagos, the misconception amongst people from Western and Eastern Nigeria was that an average ‘Calabar’ man cannot succeed in business. That was erroneous. I served as a corps member in 1982 and in 1983 I became a member of Cross River State House of Assembly and later joined Chief Don Etiebet’s Company. My duty was to ensure that he succeeded. Because I worked for his success, not to pull him down, God also rewarded me to become successful. I started business with N300.00 (Three Hundred Naira only). So when I see young people looking for millions to start business, it makes me laugh. The first contract I had was N20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira). My wife and I had to go borrowing to execute the contract. We borrowed N2,000 to supply air conditioners to Union Bank. We never made profit but we kept our words – we returned that money with 10% interest and a bottle of wine in two weeks as we promised. The man was amazed. But today, in my hotel alone we have 160 staff, in my farm in Obot Akara I have well over 100 staff and in Lagos I have more than 50 staff working with me. So it is hard work, honesty and God’s favour. You must show honesty and hard work. ROLANTIMES: Sir, we are told that whenever you appear amongst other Senators, you are always accorded a rousing welcome. How was the euphoria of being received by other Senators as the person that defeated Senator Akpabio? EKPENYONG: It is an ongoing event. The atmosphere was the same when I attended the party meeting in Abuja recently. It was the same uproar when I introduced myself as Chris Ekpenyong, Senator-Elect. Even at the airport all eyes are always on me. It shows you that you can attain any height with humility. My defeating Godswill Akpabio is God’s desire and design and everywhere I go people want to take a glimpse at the person that defeated Akpabio. ROLANTIMES: Sir, what do you expect from Governor Udom Emmanuel in the next four years? EKPENYONG: Governor Udom Emmanuel has a virtue of believing in God and truthfulness. What happened in the least election shows that he has strong faith in God. If he can ensure the takeoff of Ibom Airline, and then God stands with him to ensure the political atmosphere in Nigeria will allow Ibom Deep Seaport to become a reality then he would have written his name in gold. I also expect that peace and security to continue and the environment will be conducive for investors to come in. The rest is peripheral. Of course, every sensible administrator has to open roads and other things. ROLANTIMES: How is your relationship with His Excellency, Former Governor Victor Attah like? EKPENYONG: Too beautiful, he was here (in this hotel) the other day. He came to congratulate me recently. When I came down, he said ‘His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Chris Ekpenyong’, and that was gratifying to me. If a former Governor, my boss, can acknowledge me, alongside men of God, who do you think can derail that? I enjoy very sound friendship with Attah. ROLANTIMES: What message do you have for your constituency and Akwa Ibom in General? EKPENYONG: My plea to all the elders, women and youths in Akwa Ibom North – West (Ikot Ekpene) Senatorial District is for them to be patient with me. We will re-invent our lives. I must come back to them. I must always take their input to the Red Chamber. Whatever project I can attract must always be put on the table and the tripod of the Senatorial District must, that is the Abak axis, the Ikot ekpene axis and Ikono/Ini axis must always be carried along. No segment will be left out. I have cognate experience to be a ranking Senator. I hope that is noted. I had been a legislator, I had been in public office as a Deputy Governor and I have been a manager and employer of labour in the private sector. So what kind of experience do you want? ROLANTIMES: Thank You sir. EKPENYONG: God bless you. Source: https://rolantimes.com/interview-everywhere-i-go-people-want-to-see-the-man-that-defeated-akpabio-sen-ekpenyong/

|
googi:Yes bro. I know we all feed on west. That is why we want to stop feeding on west na. Or is it not a good thing? We want to stop being lazy. If u read my post, u would know the post is not ur usual drag and drag post. I am sincerely looking fkr a way to help us. Most times, some of u read posts I refuse to reason becus u are already biased with the post. The onion of my points is that we need a way to make it possible for the citizens to come together and hold their leaders accountable. And the system that can give the masses such sense is separation. That has been my point. Every region in Nigeria can survive on it own when they are forced to reason out of the box. This post is not the usual west vs east becus i m not such a useless person to begin drag such nonsense on nairaland. If u had read my post carefully, u would know that I emphasized on the importance of the masses, opposition party, checks and balances. I made it clear that the major reason these attributes are not functioning well in Nigeria is due to the invisible ethnic superiority contest which has given politicians to lead without much pressure from the masses. The masses are weakened by this invisible ethnic superiority contests and the politicians are taking advantage of this. So we need a system that allows the masses to come together under one goal and demand from their leaders good leadership. Only way to achieve this is true building a nation and not a state. But u ended up thinking it is all west vs east fight. Na wa. Yes, every other region feeds on west, that is why I am wishing we separate so that our region can stop feeding on west. Is that not good? In fact, south west should be at the front of this demand sef. we go all old one day and we go all dey see how useless Nigeria keeps getting. E go affect all of us. |
victorian:Your reasoning is rare in this clime. Maybe u have lived in Europe, Nigerians are mostly the proud beings, intimidate, show off and oppress. I am really shocked. Would like to know u better. My apology. Can u access your email? I mean the one u used to create this account? If yes, can i send you a mail request? |
victorian:Just saw ur pics now, lol, are u that pretty and still humble? That is rare o in this clime. |
Lol, the last election was the exact style used in Lagos each election year. Seriously, the fact that so many still celebrate that yeye election shows how funny and deserving Nigerians are. Nigerians truly deserve yeye leaders. |
mrchineke:My bro, do not sound as if u don't know nigeria. I only made such comment becus of the post I replied. The fact that my people fought a bloody war for almost three years is enough evidence of their desire. Politicians, be it igbos or yorubas or northern politicians are not interested in such becus that wil cut down on their monthly allowances. So, it is not about igbo politicians but naija politicians. What is affecting Igbos are also affecting yorubas. I'm sorry, do not say Igbos love living outside igbo land. Maybe u shold travel first. There are many communities in south east that one will easily assume is northern community due to high number of northerners there. So, if u insult Igbos for traveling around for their daily hustle, I hope u also insult ur self or anyone u know who is trying so hard to get American visa or Canadian visa. Or any visa at all to leave nigeria. Peace on to u. |
victorian:Wow, lovely. I really knew u were one nice person judging from how u interpreted that actor. Yea, it is good to be humble. One of our greatest problems as Nigerians is that we show off too much, intimidate others and full of ego. Nice to meet u Princess. My name is David. |
femolii:I do not understand, he said igbos should leave south west and I told him to achieve that we need a new constitution that will allow south west to provide visa for anyone who wants to enter south west. And the only way to achieve this is if there is a split. No way again. Instead of calling out the person who made the comment, u are calling me out. Also, this our fear of not dying is the reason our leaders are using us play football. But truly I say to u, we will all die some day. Also, anyone who lives on less than a dollar a day is already dead in Nigeria. And finally, splitting doesn't mean war. |
mrchineke:sincerely, Im igbo and i strongly accept this. But to achieve this, u guys need to team up with us and demand for a breakup Nigeria. If the country splits, surely, u will have a new constitution and the igbos will need visa to get into Yoruba nation.. But if u guys keep insulting igbos for demanding a biafra, and u guys are not even demanding for a split, then, the constitution allows Nigerians to live and work anywhere within the country. I sincerely wish u guys can join the demand for a separate nation, this will make it very possible to establish many laws against the igbos and im sure, that would make many of u happier. Dont u think this is making sense now? |
victorian:lol, u are very sensitive. I noticed that too, even how he acts. He is too full of him self. I like sensitive people, it shows they can easily respect others. What is ur name? |
thelastorca:Let me simply tell us the bitter truth! The reason Nigeria will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever progress is this? I have studied countries with progress and i came about one thing: strong unions, strong masses, strong oppositions. Now, humans are naturally bias in nature and if u give people the freedom, they will loot u, sleep wit ur wife, ur husband, and even kill u. It is in human's nature to do evil, selfish, and all that. that was why those who created democracy, created check and balances, that is why those who created democracy do not kill opposition but gave room for opposition. That was why they gave freedom of the press. There is something about the developed worlds, they see opposition, criticism and check and balances as part of national patriotism. Unfortunately, the Nigerian does not like any of this. Now see why. Humans were naturally designed to be bias like i stated earlier, no matter how much we want to claim saints. The way Nigeria is structured, it can never work. Not even regional govt can work (though would be better). The best thing for Nigeria is total splits. The Europeans know this and they allowed this in their continent, unfortunately, Africans were used to establish force states. If u check out most of the wars in Africa, they were all caused by tribal and ethnic issues. Now, I can not criticize buhari becus i would be seen first as an Igbo guy before anyone could think about the sense in what Im saying. Remember i mentioned strong masses as one of the ingredients of developed countries. In Nigeria, we have given our leaders freedom to do whatever they like. And since there is invisible ethnic superiority contest in the country, the masses actually care not as long as their own tribe is in power. this is a silent way to show off ethnic superiority. Now, this sad reality only favours the political class becus they can simply make laws to keep enriching themselves while we cheer them as long as our own tribe person is in one political power or the other. This has weakened the masses who could have held govt extremely accountable. Take for instance, if there is a civil unrest in respect to poor electricity for as long as possible, the govt will surely do something becus the govt hates embarrassment. But we cant achieve this becus the masses are weakened as a result of silent ethnic superiority contests. This same problem has been there for decades and some honest politicians saw this issue coming but many were blinded by foolishness. Many countries in Europe are smaller than lagos state as a whole. Research has shown that nations prosper more than states, if u understand the meaning of state and nation. The politicians know this, if u are close to any of the politicians, they will tell u this same thing as long as the media is not there with them. They are happy becus they are greedy, they are enjoying the weak nature of the masses. If we can split, i can tell u, it would be hard but each nation will grow. I understand it is almost too late to split now. This was what we could have achieved instead of the yeye civil war we had. If Nigeria had split back then, the varuous nations would av gone far. Why? The masses will no longer feel the need for ethnic superiority contests, but will hold their leaders accountable. The govt will not be mad when criticized, the govt will understand that a strong opposition meant well for the nation too, the govt will understand what it means to have checks and balances. As it is my bro, we have lost it. There is no more way out except a true leader can come out, fight the current political structure, and destroy it, to create a new constitution and begin a long process of independent states. We cant hold our governors accountable becus they have made us to know that they do not have power to make many things until Federal govt approves them. And sincerely speaking, the FG runs the country no matter how u see it. Nigeria has been designed to fail. I can see how people are so feeling hopeless right now, but when there is a post about how the current govt is trying to hijack the judiciary, legislature, media, weakened the opposition, u will see many people rejoicing. These same things the govt is doing was what pdp did that crippled the country. Sincerely, in 2015, i thought APC came with a different tactics, but they came with the same thing pdp did. This means, we are doomed. Any serious party that really wants the growth of Nigeria will first work on the constitution, to begin a process of division of Nigeria. Forget all these we dey do here.. We all think we can all destroy nigeria and escape to other countries that worked hard to fix theirs. sorry, a time will come when not even citizenship by birth would be accepted by many developed countries anymore. |
victorian:I got ur point, u can read from afar, i do not like him too, I mean the actor, he is way too pompous. |
KendrickAyomide:One of our biggest problems in this country is that we lie to our selves. The points raised by the south aricans, are they lie or not? Nigerians are generally a problem everywhere: Malasia don cast, na Nigerians cast am, Dubai don cast, na naija babes and guys cast am, Kenya is not extremely careful about Nigerians, a friend was in Kenya early last year and the reputation about Nigerians don cast already. Tanzania the same thing, Canada, the same thing. Italy don cast, etc Why are all these? The reason is simple: what we call 'hard work' is stupidity. We call online fraud 'hard work', we simply dont care how u make money as long u can spend the money. Instead of fighting our leaders, we simply find a way to survive, even if it means stealing. Ghana is now a boiling point due to the number of Nigerians going there to do fraud and lavish the money any how. Be sincere to ur self, be true to ur heart, Nigeria has a serious problem with quest for money. I stopped blaming govt when i told my self the truth that the govt came from us. We are what we produce as leaders. A nigerian church doesnt care ur source of income as long as u keep paying the church, we only celebrate people who have money and we rarely celebrate ideas and innovations, we dont really want to blow slowly, we just want to blow so fast. I can never ever lie to my self, i have many south africa friends and i know that 7 out of 10 Nigerians u see in SA are into fraud, drug, sex trafficking, etc. We keep polluting other societies. Not good at all. I heard Egyptians are getting extremely careful about Nigerians too since many G boys started migrating to Egypt in form of students. |
